HISTORY History Overview: Before S.H.I.E.L.D:
Cyrus was born in the year 1992 to a lower class Upir family in Europe. Despite their financial situation Cyrus' father made sure that he did whatever it took to provide for him and his younger brother. His parents helped him adjust to his Upir powers as he grew up and educated him on the world of the supernatural to ensure he would be ready for his future. Even with his condition Cyrus managed to do excellent in school and always came out with the best grades. However, it wasn't always that easy. Cyrus faced his craving for blood on a day to day bases, and being locked in a room filled with people did not make it easier for him. He often found himself staying home from school when his cravings were too strong to resist to prevent himself from killing any of his class mates, but that all changed once he got older.
When Cyrus reached his teen years he took a turn for the worse as he started hanging out with shady people and participating in illegal activities. He was introduced to drugs at the age of sixteen, starting off with marijuana and working his way up to cocain. He claims that after doing a few lines his craving for blood is temporarily suppressed, providing him some relief. As his drug habits got worse Cyrus' interest in school began to wither away, and after he graduated he dropped out. His mother was not fond of his new behavior and banished him from her home, causing Cyrus to fall into a deep depression and begin inflicting wounds to his own body.
During this time random murders began occurring close to where Cyrus lived, and because he and his family were outcasts and considered the town freaks he was accused for them. It was a hard time for Cyrus and his family because they had to live each day with everyone breathing down their neck, waiting for them to make a wrong move. This only drove Cyrus deeper into his depression and resulted in him using scarface amounts of cocain on a daily bases, just so he wouldn't have to deal with what was going on around him. He became very paranoid and even stopped hanging around with his friends because he feared they would betray him.
On Cyrus' seventeenth birthday he unfortunately overdosed after injecting himself with a lethal dose of heroin and died on the couch inside of his one bedroom apartment. To his surprise he awoke several hours later feeling much stronger than he did previously but with a much stronger hunger for blood. His previously clouded thoughts became clear and he knew that the only thing standing between him and his future was his mother. With that being said, Cyrus appeared at his mother's doorstep, cut her head off and then stored her in the basement. Things started to get brighter for Cyrus from that moment on because he felt as if a giant load had been lifted on his back. He was finally free to do whatever he wanted without having to ask anyone for permission.

PERSONALITY Personality Overview: Cyrus is a young man with an excessively lax parental influence, no stable home, and he likes it that way. His family is different from everyone else around them, they're poorer, they're European, and all of these combine to make them outcasts wherever they go. Cyrus, however, while attuned to the dichotomy of have and have-not, continually sees himself as the wealthy one. He might be a thief (of items too small to really be considered stealing), he might have to scramble for scrap credits, but he is rich in life experiences that the small town people with their closed mindedness can never imagine.
He is charming and he's a showman with a long line of useless skills, stage magic tricks and quick fingers to ensnare people's attention, but he was never well-liked, even before he was accused of murdering three families. Cyrus finds companionship among other outcasts, until rumors and speculation eventually deprive him of that as well. He never usually had friends which changed when he met a mutant child, who was part of an extremely rich family and eventually befriended them.
He abhors emotional connections, doing his best to avoid them like the plague that he considers them. The truth is that he has never needed someone as much as they need him. He fears being put in a cage. Which is both literal, and figurative. And he's scared of other peoples' needs, and of having to deal with people in an emotional context. He's a monster as far as his father is concerned, and he seems at least passingly aware of hunters, of being locked up and imprisoned.
Persistence wins the day when it comes to Cyrus, friendship or otherwise; he tries to avoid confrontations where possible, so the right person seems to be able to get under his skin no matter how much he sees attachment as its own sort of cage. Tied into this, is the fact that Cyrus hates violence. Both in general, but especially when it's directed at him, and even then he tries to avoid violence. However, this doesn't mean he wont fight. He knows when violence is the only choice.
