Dai Abare The Wild ![]() Personality: When out of combat, Dai is a very calm and collected person. He's very kind to whoever he is around, and makes friends very easily. He tends to keep himself distant and doesn't get too friendly or close with anyone on account of his personality shift when he gains natural energy. He keeps himself alone in his spare time to try and keep from gaining any relationships. Despite all of that, he's an incredibly good mentor and sensei to his unit, them being the exception to his distance. Age: 24 Village: Konoha Rank: Jounin Teamates: -Soba -Serabi -Hyumu Specialty: Dai has the ability to use natural energy to augment his reflexes, strength, speed and stamina. The more chakra he expends, the more natural energy he absorbs, and the more powerful he becomes. The intake of the natural energy leaves his abilities uncontrollable, and can easily harm anyone around him. Upon taking too much natural energy, Dai slowly begins to turn to stone. History: Dai graduated at the bottom of his class in the academy. He was an incredibly unmotivated boy who saw the raw talent in his peers, and knew deep in his mind that he could never compare. He showed promise, but rarely allowed himself to do his best, afraid to show everyone that his best wasn't good enough. Nothing changed when the Hokage surprised his class by announcing that he would personally train the three that he found most promising. Dai was among them. He knew there had to be some mistake, he tried to rectify things by pleading to join another squad, knowing that he would be a disappointment in the Hokage's eyes, but Saori was adamant that he would train Dai. Saori didn't allow Dai to fail. He forced him to try his best, and showed Dai that he was his own worst enemy. Together, him and his squad made a name for themselves during the War of Forgotten Friendships, usually being backup for Saori himself. The tide turned for Dai when Saori clashed with a powerful shinobi from the mist. Saori was forced to enter his Sage Mode, but Shi managed to hold off all four of them at once. Cocky, Dai rushed Shi, and it wasn't long before Dai was overpowered and low on chakra. Saori came to his rescue, blocking a fatal hit from Shi, but something happened when Saori approached. Dai's chakra was depleted, but he was absorbing the natural energy radiating off of Saori, and gained enhanced abilities. With his second wind, Dai and Saori managed to hold Shi off together. It only took minutes before Dai began to change. His power became uncontrollable, and his two allies were killed in the process of trying to restrain him. His fingers began to stiffen and turn to stone, and Saori recognized the situation immediately. He was forced to revert from Sage Mode, and he knocked Dai unconcious for his own good. Dai woke three days later in the infirmary of Konoha, with news that Saori managed to hold Shi off until both of them were forced to retreat. Dai cursed himself as a nuisance once again, but Saori dismissed his thoughts, and told him that without his backup, he would be dead. The natural energy still lingers inside of Dai, awakening as his chakra is depleted, but he is always reminded of how his friends died because of his lack of control.
