WE'RE ALL A BUNCH OF ANIMALS SPECIES: Hippopotamus
OVERALL APPEARANCE: He’s your typical hippopotamus. A warm gray on his back with a gentle pinkish hue on the some of his tender areas. He’s on the larger side as far as most hippos go.
DISTINGUISHING TRAITS: A network of white scars lace his back and sides.

PAINT US A PICTURE
HAIR: Medium Brown
EYES: On the honey size of hazel
BUILD: Massive and toned, fit.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: A straight nose, mutton chops…in this day in age…mutton chops.
OVERALL APPEARANCE: He’s lightly tanned, naturally, though his skin does go darker if he’s outdoors a lot. He’s got soft, dark hair that he often times forgets to cut but rarely let’s get longer than the collars of the button down shirts he wears. His hair, when wet, has a natural tendency to curl and twist at the ends.
His face is handsome and expressive just as are his hazel, honey brown eyes. He’s got a heavy, animated brow and his eyebrows have a tendency to furrow, and lift almost of their own accord when he’s concentrating and upset.
He’s got a thin mouth, which pulls into wide and dynamic smiles, or can furrow into very mean, ugly grimaces. His jaw is strong, just like most of the bones throughout his body, whereas his nose is relatively fine and almost painfully straight. He’s got a near constant layer of stubble that he wears, and he can look quite ratty, almost like a homeless person but, his one saving grace to keep him from looking like a transient is his ability to dress marginally well.
He’s very tall, and very sturdy in build with incredibly long, capable limbs. His shoulders are broad and thick, back well muscled and long. He takes exceptionally good care of himself, and it shows in the almost ridiculously perfect condition that his body is in.
TYPICAL DRESS: On average he wears jeans and a t-shirt (white being his color of choice simply because they are easy to get a hold of, come in a package of 10, and are fairly inexpensive.

WHO ARE YOU?
Gore likes his world simple. He likes routine, an ample amount of things to do, and a good woman nearby. Though, his terms of ‘good woman’ may lie somewhere outside the realms of normal, for he is a wholesome man with a very feral need for feminine comfort. To put it simply, he is too much man to be saddled with someone who has even a stray amount of tomboy in their smallest finger. The gods, it would seem, have made it abundantly clear through numerous failed relationships, however, that a wholesome woman without a shred of testosterone in her blood couldn’t at all deal with his level of manliness. And so he drifts like a vagrant, single and alone- to toss his socks and used underwear over the backs of chairs in the dining room of his apartment. For the time being. Not that he minds in the least, confessing to anyone who’d bully him enough to want to know that he has more time to laze about and do “things that a woman would cut my [expletive] off for.” He is by no stretch of the imagination tidy.
He is very competitive and views most activities and events as an out and out challenge directed at him. This has no staple on his childhood, truth be told he has never had to fight and win a day in his life. A term that could describe his overzealous behavior would be pugnacious, as he does tend to start unnecessary fights. He is a sensitive man as well, not losing with much grace at all while observing a quiet code of ‘don’t show you are a bad loser’ that he has created for himself. Needless to say, it is best to approach him with a neutral if not submissive air or he’s likely to act like the Hippo he is, and attack or mark his territory.
Gore is as simple as he wishes his world was. He doesn’t like cat and mouse games that he’s found women tend to play (with or without meaning to) and thus does not hold them in high regard when it comes to every day matters. Growing up in a house where both the girls in his family either concealed (as is Megan’s case) or ignored (as is Kit’s case) their emotions, he’s found he can’t stand dealing with the emotions of women. He’s a very straight forward person, and doesn’t understand nor cares to understand simple pleas like “I don’t understand what I’m feeling” or “I don’t want to talk about my feelings.” His mindset is as black and white as it can get; the world is going to exist for you, and if you are too stupid or self-afraid to understand yourself in the world then to hell with you, have a nice day. He can play sympathetic, understanding, and ignorant…and does on many, many occasions to not seem like the hairy beast of the wild that he is- but deep down to the honest core of Gore Zachar, he wants everyone around him to understand their emotions and get over themselves enough to share it with other people. That is to say, share it in moderation and in appropriate company. He’s known enough women to loathe the experience of a near perfect stranger saying “…and these blasted dimples in my thighs, along with Erin’s (said stranger’s mother) constant nosiness, have driven me to antidepressants. I’m depressed, clinically don’t you know…” and so forth.
Funnily enough, and those that know him would even be surprised to hear that, he likes to share. He is a provider and a doer, bless him, and finds curious delight sharing the activities he loves with the people he loves (whether they love it or not). In a downpour he’s quick to give the lady his jacket, in a theater he’ll run to refill the coke or grab some nachos, he’ll hold the bags and purse, he’ll carry she who has a broken ankle- and by today’s standards Gore Lewis Zachar (with all his piggish untidiness and pugnacious tomfoolery) is a gentleman. Like his hippo totem, he’s a ferociously brave creature that will go after what he wants with a minimal amount of premeditated caution. He’ll demand what he wants, and take by force under the circumstances that he cant get it by asking (or rather demanding), and on nearly every occasion he will provide what he attains for those close to him who need it. This shouldn’t be confused with generosity, for that he is not.
He’s a fierce protector.
- STRENGTHS: Physical strength, navigation, determination, focus, motivational ability to convince others (usually through the use of brute force).
- WEAKNESSES: He’s not a particularly artistic person and isn’t that great at being creative. He tends to overlook detail and is highly confrontational.
- LIKES: Food, fighting, winning, polite women, the outdoors, hiking, trail blazing in any form, football, water, beer, dimly lit bars, his lake house, family events, female nudity, jeans, belts, white t-shirts, a distinct line between feminine and masculine (no gray area), honesty, people with integrity, order, being in control, being fawned over, being talked about in a positive way, overhearing someone talking about him, sharing, showers, leather, motorcycles, trucks, grease, swimming
- DISLIKES: Moody women, shrill sounds, expensive clothes, shopping, trying on clothes, tuxedos, liars, emotional games, gray area to most subjects, rumors, being dragged into ‘woman affairs’, male nudity, homosexuals, diets, health food, bubble baths, trash, whining, being lost, cold-trundra like environments, being hungry, hot water, tea

| HISTORY |

HOW DID YOU GET HERE?
Joseph Ezra, a traffic officer with a horse totem, started dating a woman named Dolores Zachar. Dolores had a rabbit for a totem, which should have foretold disaster in the very beginning. The two met innocently enough, and she seemed like a very good woman, offering to help Joseph care for an ex’s child when she died and paperwork gave Joseph custody of Anson Jennings.
Dolores, Joseph and Anson lived happily together for quite a while, before Dolores got pregnant, and the couple had a large, healthy young baby named Gore.
Up to this point, things in the Ezra household were easy to understand, but then they quickly got confusing.
Dolores left in a flurry one night following a fight with Joseph about their waning relationship, and his lack of passion for her. She took Gore with her, leaving Anson and Joseph on their own. Both boys, both Anson and Gore were still very, very young – Gore was just barely a year old and Anson only two.
Dolores and Gore were gone for a few years, and in those years Joseph just happened across another child, a young girl whom had been found at a crime scene and was being turned over to child services. Joseph, the bleeding heart that he was, felt a compassion and a pity for the girl whom had just lost her parents, and that led him to adopt her before she could be placed into the custody of someone else, and after she had been mentally evaluated.
At a loss as for what to tell Anson, Joseph was on his way home with the two year old Kit, when he got a phone call from the police station alerting him that Dolores had been taken into custody for drunken and disorderly conduct, and Joseph would need to pick up Gore.
Joseph of course turned around and went to pick Gore up from the police station.
When he arrived home with two new children, Joseph did the only thing that the confused, slightly overwhelmed single parent could think to do and he lied to all three of them; though only one of them, Anson, would really retain it.
Upon being asked where they came from, and why Joseph had gone to get two new children Anson looked distraught, and Joseph could only think to say “They’re mine.”
In the years that would follow, Joseph would continue with the lie, despite how wild, how ridiculous it seemed. He told all three children they were his, only because Anson’s memory held so well to that idea and he couldn’t stand the idea of being accused of lying to his children, by his children so he continued the lie. He told them all they were his children, by means of separate mothers though in reality, Gore was his only real, true blood related child seeing as his ex wife had been just as promiscuous as he did not know Dolores was.
The three children grew up close, despite Joseph’s constant worry over the truth somehow wriggling its way out, until eventually the story he told to his children, and everyone around him was so familiar that he started to forget that it was actually all a great, big, stupid lie.
When Anson was eight, Gore seven and Kit six Joseph brought home yet again, another child.
Obviously, confusion in the Ezra house was a very, very typical thing.
Joseph did not force any of the other children to change their names, he gave them all the option of doing so once they got older, as he figured he did not have the right to make that decision and all three of them denied that chance; seeing as they were comfortable, and used to have their names as they were.
Kit was the only child to share Joseph’s last name through a simple and very thorough lawyer who died shortly after he helped Joseph finalize the adoption, and all paperwork documenting the name change was very well hidden after evidence arose in the case concerning Kit that her original family had been the targets of an arranged murder – and such news made people in the department, including Joseph nervous for her safety.
Obviously, none of the children know they have been adopted, and despite their rocky starts none of them were negatively affected in the long run. Joseph has, however, suffered quite a bit of anxiety over the whole ordeal.
The children all grew up close, particularly Gore and Kit. Kit idolized Gore, even while Gore picked on her and terrorized the living daylights out of her. They teamed up, and wreaked havoc on the neighborhood and on their siblings while Joseph worked wild, long shifts to feed all four children on a humble city police officer’s meager pay.
They all attended the same private boarding school, and very little of notable merit occurred to any of them during these formative years. Anson was the high schools pride quarterback and man-slut, Gore played a very mean, violent offense linebacker and became the outdoor education teacher’s best friend. Kit became obsessed to the point of being an authentic stalker with a handsome, charming political titan in New York that she would never meet, and Megan became the veritable science freak – the science freak to out freak all other science freaks. She was also targeted by a large number of bullies, one in particular who claimed he loved her.
Kit briefly joined the swim team, but quickly found that simply because she had an affinity for swimming through her Geis did NOT mean that she was going to enjoy the rigorous, insane schedule that the swim coach demanded she keep.
The four grew, happily, with the typical bumps and dramas in their lives and a loving father, in a wonderful environment.
They spent long, lazy summers at a lake house several hours outside of Los Angeles, a beautiful heirloom in the family.
Gore spent a stint in the bothersome police academy, earning his badge as quickly as he could take the tests and complete the classes. He wore the uniform as required of him for a brief amount of time before he (along with some help from his father’s good name) took on the training required to move to the special weapons and tactics force he coveted. He passed with flying colors, even the rigorous boot camp like training required of every hopeful to vie for the coveted position. He earned the title of the top candidate, and settled securely into his new career with relative ease.
His personal life has been casual and active, though not at all in comparison to Anson, and he spends a great deal of time raging over the keen interest other men in the station display for his younger sister, Kit.
