As your character travels the planet, of course he's going to grow stronger, gain influence, and maybe even become a powerful leader of their race. How you choose to level up, though, can be determined by the level-up methods listed below. Remember, these are simply rough summaries of the systems. If you want more information on these level-up systems, go here. The Experience System This is one method of leveling up. It is the most basic and most versatile, however the most expensive as well. With it, you can spend EXP you earn from battles, missions, and hunts along with currency at a special vendor. This vendor will give you new abilities, new weapons, new skills, and so on. EXP exists outside of the RP, so don't go around while RPing saying "I HAVE 500 EXP!" 'cause no one will know what the hell you are talking about. This method is best for mutants because it allows abilities to be gained and built on without any special stipulations The Mod System Unavailable to mutants, this level-up system is technology and is best suited for humans and droids. One could possibly find ruins, debris, or even old weapons. They could then both take apart the debris and get scrap parts and even research the inner workings of the machine. These scraps can be converted to Mods, which can be separately added to body suits, weapons, and droid frames to give a certain effects, such as increased damage, new abilities, faster reaction time. Further, Mods can be spliced together, though doing so is costly. This can create a Super-mod, which act as a normal Mod in attributes but can give extremely powerful boosts, moreso than normal mods. Mods themselves can be used by anyone. Taking up this system means you'll be able to craft your own with whatever you want to put into it. Otherwise, you'll be restricted to very limited mods. The Influence System This one is rather hard but end up being one of the most powerful. When you take up missions or hunts with this system in tow, you'll get Influence Points, or IP. These are never spent, but they can actually gain you access to special weapons, armors, ability training, or even flunkies to serve you. Not that hard to comprehend. The Miracle System Sometimes, only miracles can save you in battle. With this, you can have all the divine intervention you heart desires. By saving up miracle points you can give your character boosts in defensive and offensive power, negative points to your opponents, elemental prowess, and a multitude of other things. Divinity Points, earned in battles, can be spent during a battle to boost your chance of survival. Save enough Miracle Points and you might even be able to pull off a total miracle. At first glance, this system appears to not have any affect on the actual character except to help them in battle. To eliminate this problem, Divinity Points can be spent just like EXP in this case, but abilities are much, much harder to obtain. |
