So, you've decided to be one of your own, eh? Good choice, my good sir. This is a complete guide to humans within the RP. Let's hope you made the right choice. Now, humans are an interesting bunch. Unlike droids, they can learn how to use weapons and how to change strategies, and unlike mutants, they have access to technology. However, without their armor, they are squishy, weak fleshbags with no abilities whatsoever. So, trade-offs. What can humans use? Well, they can use every weapon, even melee weapons. They are equipped with special battlesuits that can house an array of artillery, including flamethrowers and portable shields. Everything can be equipped with Mods for humans, and they can even learn how to craft Mods themselves. In addition to this, humans can learn how to use weapons. For example, a human and droid are getting the same upgrade to their body suit/shell. The human can learn how to use that weapon and doesn't need to spend extra level-up points and currency to upgrade their memory, as a droid needs to do. However, here's comes the negative: humans themselves can't be altered. Their base HP stays the same at all time. Oh sure, you can upgrade thier body suit, but without it, they're quite easy to kill. They have 2 HP stats: 1 is for the body suit integrity, and one is their natural, static amount. Humans are given a number of HP at registration; this number is both of these stats combined. Generically, 10 is the static amount. At the point where health drops to this amount, all abilities and attacks within the armor are disabled; defensive upgrades still stay in place, however. Fortunately, they have a saving grace. Even when their HP is at 0, they can still be saved, so long as either: A} Their body suit is still intact and has a life-safegaurd built into it (auto-flushing of poisons, patching of wounds, etc.); or B} there is an ally in the vicinity who can patch the wounds of the human. This is a stark contrast of droids, who are finished when they reach 0 HP, and mutants, who have to rely on someone else. |
