Posts: 363 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: February 8, 2008	Name: Tristan Akeby Age: 20 Sex: Male Race: Mutant Origin: Small town outside Alteeka, Kibaba Description: Tristan wears fairly contemporary clothing, even in battle. He wears factory-produced cloth pants, white cargo pants. He wears a black shirt saying "Freedom", a sign to his natural alignment to stay free after his time in jail. He wears highly-durable all-terrain white shoes. At both his hips are string, where he attaches his modified katars. He has a fair complexion, with dark, straight hair. He also has dark brown eyes. His facial features are not remarkable, but he's not ugly. Tristan as the personality of someone who is trying to reform himself. He puts his heart into the things he does, and he means the things he says. There are times, though, where the ghosts of his past will resurface. He is known to be rather sadistic in doing some of the more hands-on stuff. He also tends to project rather shocking images into the minds of victims, though he swears this is to further shock them into helplessness. Biography (include any previous military experience): Tristan is a bastard child, the product of the gang-rape of his mother, Genine Akeby. Rather than abort her child, she followed through her pregnancy, and Tristan was born healthy and active on July 19th, 25 years ago. He was raised by his mother's extended family in Kibaba. His birth father's identity was never discovered. As a young boy, Tristan developed mentally at an astonishing rate, a hint at a potentialy mental ability. This was eventually confirmed around the ages of 4 and 5: he had the ability of Perception Altering. A rare ability, it allowed him to sway others to his reasoning or even project images of his creation into the minds of his target. Fearing corruption, Genine became overly protective of Tristan, trying to teach him of the ways of respect and chivalry. This worked, as Tristan seemed to exist only to serve others, never thinking of himself. He lived in naivity, thinking that he could make everyone happy by making others happy. Not in a controlling way, mind you, more of a passive way. He lived a peaceful life with Genine for a long time, becoming a village friend. Sadly, not all stories are happy. Genine contracted a rare yet fatal disease from one of the ones who raped her. The town clerics tried to keep her alive for as long as they could, for a long 12 years, but the disease eventually took her soul. It was then that Tristan began his downward spiral. What began as a gift for the young man became a bane to others. His ever-deepening depression was projected into those around him, thanks to his ability, giving them fearful images or thoughts. This drove others away from Tristan, making him isolated, unwanted, alone. This depression soon became rage stemmed from monophobia, which he developed during this sad period. Tristan turned to a life of assault and battery. If he was to be miserable, all would be miserable as well. He became a frequent visitor to the juvenile prison system, eventually being inducted into the standard prison system at the age of 16, following a multiple-count conviction. It was here he had an epiphany about his mother. He had forgotten her teachings, about respect and chivelry. He reformed himself in prison, and subsequently, when he was released 2 years later, he decided to do good for the world. He began training in the police service as an interrogator and undercover specialist. This turned out to be an unsuccessful venture, as his old ways of mental assaul began to creep back into his manner. After this, he decided to become a Ranger. After two years of training, honing his powers until he began to have total control of them, he attempted to enlist as an independant, having success in doing so. He now hopes to make a better man out of himself, both in his powers and in his mind, hoping he can please his late mother. Primary Weapon: Modified Katars These two blades are curved into a crescent, a design significantly different than normal katars. These are more based on slashing rather than punching. Tristan's fighting style accomidates this design change by using agility to bring himself closer to his opponents and spinning to slice opponents open. The modified katars are attached to Tristan via straps on the wrist and can be easily taken off and saddled to his hips. Abilities: Memory Imprint Tristan merely needs to look at an opponent to have the ability to project images into their minds. He doens't necessarily know where they are when they are hiding, but can still use his abilities and hit with them. Type: Passive Distracting Image Causes the target to "see" an image in the corner of their eye, such as a flickering light, quick movements, or something to that effect. In reality, the image does not exists, it only exists in the mind of the victim. This can throw off defenses or stop an attack when under cover. Can do this to two people at a time, can only do this once per 4 rounds. Type: Active Natural Charisma Tristan naturally can sway others to his way of thinking or perception. This is good for getting allies. Additionally, Tristan is very good at haggling. He can earn 10% more money from sales and can buy stuff for 10% less. Type: Passive Battle Gauge: Spend Gauge Level Up System: Experience System --- Applications, at their absolute best, should follow this format.

One, his standard civilian clothes, are simply jeans and a white t-shirt. His combat wear is his body suit, camo in color and heavy-looking, to support for a wide array of different weaponry and special combat-effective items. He always his black combat boots. He has a dirty look, his blonde hair always in a mess and a tired look on his face. He has the common multiracial complexion of most people, but his blonde hair somehow made it through the genetic process. He acts like a man who has seen too mcuh in one lifetime. In his off time, he drinks, remembering both the good and bad of his wartime past. He lackidasically goes into battle, his mind always preoccupied. Only when a battle is truly challenging will he actually focus on it. Biography (include any previous military experience): Warren was born to neglectiful parents Al and Minnie Sky. They always regarded him as a pest and a waste of money, so they neglected him this led to a childhood of a bully, wanting only to be recognized. Eventually, this bully-streak of his got him nerolled in boot camp, where, oddly enough, he excelled the infantry departments. When he graduated, he was offered to enter the anti-terrorist corps as a front-line man. Seeing no other path in his life, he gladly accepted. He spent 20 years in the corps, breaking terrorist lines and even sometimes saving hundreds of lives. When he turned 39, he resigned from the force, and took up residence in the human arcs for two years. Shell shock set in, however, and he distanced himself from his friends. He turned to alcohol to help the pain resulting from the high stress of the job. He often turned up in bars, in a deep stupor dressed in his old body armor, reliving the past in any way possible. Discontent with civilian life, he decided to become a Hunter. Even though independants were more likely to be accepted the younger the age, Warren was accepted because of his still impecable shape and past. He was given a modified version of his corps rifle, a dual-action autorifle and canister thrower. For a year, though, all he seemed to do with the money he earned was spend it on alcohol. He became one of the lowest rated independants in the world. Primary Weapon: Modified Rifle Warren's Hunter rifle appears to be a larger version of a GI autorifle. It is, in fact, a weapon with two modes of fire. It has the standard autorifle option. It also has the option of firing canisters that detonate on contact. When detonated, these may do a variety of effects, from simply dealing damage to releasing a toxic substance. Canisters By loading the variety of canisters, Warren can utilize a variety of effects. He must take a seperate turn to load a clip of canisters to the rifle. Each clip houses 3 canisters, and Warren can only carry one of each clip per battle. The different canisters are as follows: -Standard = Simply deals damage. -Flash = Causes blindness. -Napalm = Causes burn. -Pulse = Causes stun. -Toxic = Causes poison. Abilities: Hardcore After 4 turns of battle, Warren becomes focused. Due to his past, little can actually affect his mental perception or cause fear or panic. Type: Passive Stim Packs Warren's suit is implanted with a special injection system, wired to the back of his neck to veins going back to the heart. He can use a suitable stim by pressing one of the multiple buttons on his belt. These injections can give a variety of effects. His current system has the following packs: -White Serum = Calms Warren, easing pain and increasing accuracy -Red Serum = Sends Warren into a rage, dealing +2 ranks of damage in melee gun combat but has -1 defense -Yellow Serum = Increases Warrens mobility and speed -Black Serum = Warren gains a temporary 15 HP These stims can only be used once per battle, and last for 3 turns. Afterwards, Warren loses 10 HP and he cannot use them if he has less than 20 HP. Type: Active Battle Gauge: Cooldown Gauge Level Up System: Mod System
