Description: Anima stands at 5 feet 11 inches with an average female body build. She wears straight black hair cut just above the shoulders. She keeps a very average wardrobe, holding the belief that too much flair can easily get in the way of efficient work. An example of her standard attire would be blue jeans and a black vest over a blue t-shirt, with plain white sneakers. Her pretty face holds hazel eyes, which many have said seem to have a piercing effect should you make eye contact with her. On her shoulder is a black tattoo of three thin chevrons stacked atop one another, but she never tells anyone of its significance. (This tattoo is mirrored on her battle suit, as she applied the design of the tattoo on the suit's same shoulder with white paint.)

Biography (include any previous military experience):
From her early childhood, her family knew Anima to be a thinker. She would immediately take to simple toys such as building blocks and let her imagination run wild.

Through her early teens, Anima led a very typical life, achieving great academic success. She made friends, but was never the 'popular kid'; eventually making her into a somewhat quiet person, often buried in books rather than attempting social encounters. Because she was an only child and because her entire family besides her parents lived on Avaris, she quickly became something of a loner, very non-outgoing and only keeping in contact with her friends while at school. Her parents, Sylvana and Selph, began to worry about the sudden change in her social habits, but eventually dismissed it as "just a phase she's going through".

Around her seventeenth birthday, her social struggles were frustrating her incredibly. She was having repeated disturbing dreams of herself stabbing a faceless man to death. On top of usual teenage angst, she was having mental difficulties, and begun refusing to put her heart into anything. She kept very distant and indifferent during the daytime, but cried herself to sleep at night; so many factors were hurting her that she had no control over.

Her psychological deterioration had progressed far enough that Sylvia became greatly worried and took her to a local psychologist to try and help her. Anima was largely uncooperative, firmly stating the belief that if she had a problem she should deal with it herself. Sylvia made her go anyway, and after repeated visits, the psychologist told Anima's parents that her problem was very deep and quite layered, and would take a long while to sort out. They agreed to continue sending the girl in for regular visits.

The psychologist suggested that Anima also try some extracurricular activities. After thinking about it for a while, she decided to take up the martial art of Aikido and found a natural talent. She finally had something productive that she enjoyed doing, and progressed up the ranks very quickly. At the age of nineteen, she had gotten her first-degree dan and was a well-respected aikidoki among her fellow practitioners. In addition, her psychological state seemed to be bettering greatly.

However, late one night, Anima half-awoke to the sounds of movement downstairs. She dismissed it as her father Selph staying up late working again. (He worked in the field of information technology, leading to many late nights sorting out difficult problems especially in communication between a company's offices on seperate Arcs.) When she woke the next morning, she walked down the stairs and saw the entire first floor ransacked, blood stains on the carpet and her parents nowhere to be found. She tried and failed to seek out her parents anywhere nearby and fell to her knees crying. Her feelings went quickly from sadness to hatred for whomever did this to her parents, however. She resolved to either find her parents, or find the criminal responsible and serve justice herself. She hoped she could do both as she abruptly dropped out of school, bought her own weapons, and set out.



Primary Weapon:
Shield Swords
Anima carries two lightweight yet durable swords, sheathed at her hips. The blades are long and slightly curved, easy for making quick yet effective strokes. If the grip on the hilt is squeezed, a thin plasma barrier surrounds the length of the blade, providing a shield from light attack. She has perfected a sort of spin attack where she quickly twirls, using the first blade to knock the opponent off-balance and the second blade to strike a moment later.

Finger Shot
The tips of Anima's battle suit's fingers are extended slightly to allow room for a tiny cannon inside each finger. If she's not holding anything in a hand, she can fire a quick round of light bullets from her fingertips; however, damage dealt is light and is used primarily as a defensive maneuver.

Focus Energy
Anima's battle suit can focus the energy in her body to one or two limbs for any reason. For example, if she needs to make a powerful slice with a blade, she can focus energy to her arm. If she needs to run quickly, she can focus energy to her legs. Note that if energy is focused to a location, the other limbs suffer in power as well. For example, if she focuses to her legs, her upper body attacks will lack power. This ability takes up a whole turn, and the effect lasts only until the turn after ends.
