Third Overlord of the Operation Posts: 29 Group: Members Member #9 Joined: April 20, 2008	Name: Stephan Age: 14 Sex: Male Race Mutant Origin: Podunk, within Adonis Description: A slighly tall teenager with brown hair, piercing steel blue eyes, and an innocent look too him. He wears a simple t-shirt and jean-shorts, and looks as human as anyone. Biography (include any previous military experience): Stephan was born into the orphanage. His mother and father are completely unknown to him or the orphanage. His young years were not kind to him, he was a very quite child and got picked on for many of his years at the place. However, sometimes strange things would happen around him. If the other children started hitting Stephan, Stephan would not retaliate. However, a nearby lamp would suddenly start attacking the other children, though it stopped before any adults could see it happening. One day, a fire broke out in the orphanage and burned the place down. The fire fighters couldn't explain it, the fire seemed to have started spontaneously. That was 4 years ago. In the four years since, Stephan has learned much about his mutant powers and has gained control of them. When the Orphanage burned down, Stephan took the opportunity to run away from it. Stephan didn't realize he was the one to do it yet, but he knew he could get away from the other children. He was actually highly intelligent, he just never showed it within the orphanage. Whenever he did, he'd get picked on more. So, Stephan ran and ran, and eventually he came upon a different town, Ellay, with different people. He stayed away from the law, knowing that they would throw him back into an orphanage if they caught him. He fended for himself, doing small things for people and getting a little money from them so he could buy bread to feed himself with. However, soon he found himself working for the bakery of the town. The old guys name was Mr. Koban, and he noticed the child coming frequently to his place. The guy got Stephan talking, who, after a while, spilled everything. The old guy didn't have the heart to let Stephan continue his life like this, so he got Stephan to work for him in the bakery, and in return got food and shelter. In the year following, Stephan realized his powers and kept them hidden. However, one day Stephan saw the old man cooking, and saw how he lit the fire in his stove. The guy was pyrokinetic. Surprised, Stephan stayed away from the shop that day, but came back and told Mr. Koban about his own powers, and his abilities to control objects with his mind. After a couple of years, Stephan lived with the old man and was happy for the first time in his life. However the town of Ellay came under attack by mutant zombies. The zombies ran rampant through the town, but Stephan was out of the shop buying supplies. As Stephan was shopping, people started screaming and running from the zombies. Stephan ran back to the shop to find Mr. Koban on the floor next to several crispy zombies. Angered and saddened, Stephan ran out of the shop and found the main part of the zombie horde. The old man was dear to him, and his death had rocked Stephan's mind. The zombies got close, and one by one, things started happening to them. Some went up in flames, others were crushed by nearby objects, or chuck of earth tore from the ground and crushed groups of them. One by one, they all fell and Stephan was exhausted. He returned home and slept. Stephan had grieved for the old man, and while the town treated him like a hero, he could not stay for he would see Mr. Koban in everything around. So, he left and traveled. In other places, he helped those in need, but he still hid his power. People aren't always comfortable around Mutants, and he got a better reaction out of most if he helped first. He decided to travel to somewhere that mutants were more accepted. Primary Weapon: Yo-yo - Stephan controls his Yo-yo with his mind, using his PSI on it and controlling it as if it was a part of his body. Abilities: Stephan's Powers are the powers of a Psion. As such, he can train in just about any aspect of PSI powers. Alpha Telekinenis Stephan controls a nearby object and throws it into a target. The most basic version of Telekinenis, it can only control smaller objects. Type: Psionic Rank: Gauge Usage: Notes: Alpha LifeUp Stephan speeds up his own metabolic rate with his mind, causing his body to heal although it causes him to be hungry too. Type: Psionic Rank: Gauge Usage: Notes: Alpha PSI Shield Stephan give his target a protective barrier, cutting damage from Elemental and Psionic attacks. Lasts 5 turns. Rank: Gauge Usage: Notes: Alpha Flame Stephan Concentrates and causes his target to start burning. This lasting effect will dwindle by itself over time, but cannot put out through normal means. Rank: Gauge Usage: Notes: Battle Gauge: Level Gauge Level Up System: Influence

You get a bonus for the extensive history, though there are some rare spelling errors. I wouldn't consider it Gold unless you want to enhance your description. You will be rewarded justly. Put some kind of stipulation on Alpha LifeUp. Being able to heal yourself at any time whenever you want is just too damn powerful. Rank 1 Burning for Alpha Flame seems fit, but it's gonna be a level 1 attack. That's 4 ranks of damage, soooo... And were you planning on having Alpha PSI Shield stack?

Third Overlord of the Operation Posts: 29 Group: Members Member #9 Joined: April 20, 2008	Consider that Stephan cannot use LifeUp and another special move in the same turn, as he would be concentrating his power to healing. Using it when he is already starving could be a bad thing. It drains his energy to recover his wounds, though using it when he is tired isn't a problem, it would stop him from being tired temporarily. But if he hasn't eaten in a week, using it would be very draining, his body would be eating itself in order to heal. Becaue of all of this, Stephan does not use LifeUp in combat if he can avoid it. No, it shouldn't stack.

Third Overlord of the Operation Posts: 29 Group: Members Member #9 Joined: April 20, 2008	Using it too much could cause him to starve. So, it depends on how much damage he has healed with the power. Say, 2 or 3 times his max hp or something before the action would start hurting him instead.

Third Overlord of the Operation Posts: 29 Group: Members Member #9 Joined: April 20, 2008	Yes, LifeUp shouldn't be that badly capped, but neither should it get that drastically worse as he goes. LifeUp doesn't worsen in effectiveness until he is really hungry. It worsens when his body has used up so much metabolic energy that it starts eating into his body instead. It shouldn't be healing more than Rank 2 hp at any point, but once it stops healing Rank 2 it becomes much less useful. Methinks 5 uses 10 Hp, 5 of 5 hp, and the rest -5 hp would be appropriate. Which is only restored after he eats a meal. Since its rather difficult to concentrate on his body, he also wouldn't be able to use his Yo-yo during a turn that he is recovering. Can't control his Yo-yo with his Psionics if he is spending his time fixing himself instead. So all he can do is attempt to block or dodge his opponent during this time. Which if it doesn't work, he'll likely take at least enough damage to negate his healing anyway.

Third Overlord of the Operation Posts: 29 Group: Members Member #9 Joined: April 20, 2008	What does the Pistol do? Do I have Ammo? How strong is it? Also... How does the Level gauge work outside of combat? Whats to stop me from increasing my level prior to combat if I know its coming?

Doo Wop. Posts: 363 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: February 8, 2008	Pistols are simply that: pistols. There is no ammo, as all its power comes from a compact plasma core. That particular one deals Rank 1 damage. Every generic weapon, such as your pistol, comes from these databases. If you know it's coming, then you could increase, however at half speed. I guess I should implement that for every gauge. :/
