Hunt #1: "Haggard"

Doo Wop. Posts: 363 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: February 8, 2008	Description: An unknown Drone has appeared to wander into the Erubi Plains from the Barren Cap. It's not that large of a specimen, being roughly 8 1/2 feet in height, and is very slow moving, but it can take a massive amount of damage, being able to receive fire from multiple high-caliber sentry guns without any apparent hindrance. It can swing one of its two massive arms, shaped much like a mace, which can easily tear a building apart with a single attack. It can also release a cloud of toxins from various boil-like growths on its back. This species, currently named "Haggard", referencing its tired and worn appearance, is incredibly dangerous and, if encountered, should not be engaged by anyone other than high-level independents, though attacking at a range is a suitable strategy that can be done by low-levels as well. Difficulty: ******

Looks dangerous, but the reward is probably great... even if I have to split it with others... there better be others. She noted the advice the notice gave - keeping your distance - and snorted. That's just common sense... she fingered the gun strapped to her left thigh, considering it's speed, firing range and poisoning capabilities. After a few more moments of thought, she signed up for the hunt. Leaving the board, she sat down on a nearby bench and waited to see if anybody else would be drawn to the mission by the promise of company, thinking up her strategy.

It was to be expected, since he was over five hundred pounds due to his mechanical body. Karron checked the board for any missions that might be worth while. He grumbled, very few missions worth his while. Most of the ones that were up involved helping mutants, something that he was truly reluctant to do. He finally spotted something that might be worth is time. By the looks of it, someone was already signed up. Someone by the name of Anna. Sounded like a fairly normal human name. "This one is going to be rough.... A hunt. Last time I went on a hunt, I ended up in being cut in two." Karron said quietly to himself. Karron quickly scribbled his name on the mission sign up. It ended up looking almost like chicken scratch, because he was so unused to using a pen. Karron turned around and walked out, taking a look at a girl sitting on a bench who was looking at him. He simply brushed it off as if it were nothing and proceeded to leave.

He was so heavily armored, the mutant had at first thought he was a droid. Then he had looked at her with those empty, lifeless eyes. Had she been a weaker person, she would have shivered. As he departed away with thudding footsteps, Anna walked up to the board and confirmed that he had signed up for the same hunt as her. Good, some firepower. I bet he could stand toe-to-toe with Haggard, he's quite large... Whirling around, Anna called out to the rapidly vanishing human, a hint of irritation in her voice. "Where are you going, Human? We're on the same mission." The corner of her mouth twitched briefly. You better not be trying to do this yourself just to get all the reward.

Fuck...nothing. She retreated for a bit, before she took notice the two other people. She noted their attention to a certain mission. "Hmmm...A monster..." She heard the other two leave. Hmmm...If those two know anything about Tristan...Maybe it'd be best to get them on my side. "Wait up, I'm coming with."

Anna stopped and sniffed, furrowing her brow. Whatever. She tossed her hair back, planting Sorrow's ferrule in the ground. The man looked to be heading towards the location of the beast, so she'd meet up with him eventually anyway. Closing her eyes, the mutant woman mentally checked to see if she was prepared when a young woman called out to her from behind. She turned, bushing a stray strand of raven-coloured hair from her face. A tiny girl in loose clothes and white shoes was jogging towards her. The more the merrier? She grimaced. Another person to split the rewards with. Anna tilted her head and studied the girl, who she assumed was a mutant. She caught up quickly and said she had signed up for the hunt as well. Anna nodded and mentioned the man, who had vanished around a corner. "If you're ready to go, I'm following him. Wouldn't want him to take it out by himself, or die," she said in a businesslike voice. Without waiting for a response or to see if the girl would follow, she started off at a brisk pace toward The Wilds.
