Despite being machine themselves, their technology is about equal to humans. Most of their technological progress is spent on how to keep droid body shells working and how to improve longevity. Weaponry is a bit more developed than humankind's technology, but past taht, nothing is better. The droid government is close to communism-gone-right. The droid government worked out the kinks in the communism system and found it to be the most suitable for thier kind. As all droids are linked to the droid High Power, or the head of government, general issues, such as "Avoid this area" and "Upgrade needed", are easily conveyed. Droids still work hard despite even pay, and the economy is rather proporous. Droids are not commonplace in the wilds. This is not because there is a shortage of SN-HK's, because there isn't. The presence of technology, such as the droids, in the Wilds causes great distress on the Eonmind, despite the emination of EM waves that are confirmed to be more nourishing than alpha waves. No one knows for sure why this, but this disallows "packs" of droids working to together in the Wilds. Droids see themselves as biologically superior to humans and mutants. Their metal plates can take far more damage than that of a seasoned battle veteran, and they react faster and can potentially be far smarter than any other race. The High Power is the least prejudicial, being a "pure" decendant of Marcato, but still observes and points out the flaws in biological organisms. Edited by The Rock*, Nov 14 2008, 08:43 PM.

Creating a learning droid has been a long-time goal of both human and droid engineers. As well, droids, should they come to a situation in which programmed parameters do not meet the conditions, will go into a sort of panic, which usually resolves in total system shutdown. So how can droids resolve this crippling flaw? Well, one is the creation of the "Improvisation System", now programmed into every droid. Ages ago, "droid panic" was extremely common in the community. These sorts of panics led to a steady decline in economy and society. However, among these droids, certain anomalies appeared. These mystery programs allowed droids to analyze the conditions of the situation and reform the parameters of its own code to match the conditions; this was called "improvising". Droid engineers studied these droids, isolating the programs and recreating it exactly. This led to the Improvisation System, a series of code that allows improvisation of any situation as long as there is pre-existing code for something like the situation. Posts: 363 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: February 8, 2008	Common Models and Makes All droids have the same basic principles behind them: a body can only operate with an AI; droids do not learn quickly; and each droid can be modified to suit a different need. Otherwise, droids greatly vary in shape and size. However, there are some "models" that a droid can take. A common body shape for a droid is the "Civilian" model, a bipedal, two armed, thin type with odd-shaped head, curving into a single photo-receptor (eye). They speak through a speaker at the base of the head. This is an all purpose model that can be used in a variety of ways, from service to selling. It's a rather low-maintenance model, but it is very vulnerable to attack, disabling itself after only a couple of strikes. The "Soldier" model is another common variety of body shapes, in service to the droid government. It is somewhat similar to the Civilian model in shape, but most are painted black, body plates are thicker, and the model is much more dextrous. It requires more maintenance to keep in top shape, so Soldiers often have a transfer device to convert AI's into Civilian units and back again for this reason. Outside of these models, there are very few factory-made shapes. Sometimes, these factory-made models are used by renegades to increase their number cost-effectively. The government disallows any factory-making of any kind, but it still continues.

Doo Wop. Posts: 363 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: February 8, 2008	Droid Independents SN-HK* ("Serial Number-HK(the droids original serial number)") are the independents of droids. SN-HK's, or just Stars for short, are automatically commissioned once they are created. They are separately designated as Stars upon the creation of the AI. Upon getting a body, they are given the freedom that few are allowed in droid society. Stars' power comes from the fact that they have a totally moddable body and intelligence. Extra weapons can be implanted, reflexes can be modded, and other things can be done. However, implants are expensive in droids, costing more than the other two races.
