Cultures and Their Lands

Vast lands owned by Civilization that have grown over hundreds and thousands of year, they are bountiful in customs and traditions, social events and ways of inter-reacting, their clothing, transport, finery, but also the darker side, with religious or just poverty and squalor!

Bring your idea here, it could be new Cultures and also an attempt to expand on known Cultures, to let again delve into the ways of life of these many Cultures and flourish!

Females Humanoids

"Males are stronger than Females, mostly. Men are the hunters, Females stay in the nest and protect the spawn, it is the way it has always been. Now tell me there is something wrong with nature!" growls the Cimmerain barbarian.

Cimmerian Women will fight by there Men, true and so would Females from other Cultures if things got bad. But is it correct to say that Males and Females are created in the same way and are physical the same.

Females who become athletically/physically active are known to stop creating eggs, so no chance of creation of new-life that will hinder there bodies, it a natural event, so there would be no lose of life if none is generated, but mammals and majority of other creatures have the Male as larger and stronger, why is this, I not planning to argue against the forces of Nature and if others want to, that there choice, I just want to accept the truth and am adding this "New Rule," to this Forum and others can use it or not as they want!

Female Template

Female's Physical Structure (Females Characters Only)

Effect: This is a free effect that is added to every Female Character when generated at 1st level: There is two options (50/50 if Game Master wanting a random generation):

First Option: -2 Strength and +2 Dexterity.

Second Option: -2 Strength and + 2 Charisma.

* Pick one and added to your Female Character.

* Some might say, creating a Female Character,

"Why not just put lowest Ability into Strength."

"Why cannot Females be equal in Strength to Males, it just a game?"

"There is strong Females out there!"

I would say:

"Why not put highest Ability in to Strength and lowest one into Intelligence to create a Cimmerian Character. The effect is the same, it a hindrance and a benefit."

"The forces of Nature, I still not want to argue against them...!"

There is strong Females out there and honestly I have seen only a few that are stronger than me and they are extreme body-builders, I am strong, above average and I not work at it to much (do my weights once a day at most), so I believe this is a correct rule for game balance."

Cimmerian Tribes

Examples and Reason for tribe creator.

Note: Any population created from Cimmeria Sourcebook will not include the Chieftain, so if a total roll is 220, remember in fact it 221 as Chieftain not included yet. (I will probably add chart form Cimmeria one day, it not big and easy done).

Examples of Tribes:

* The White Wolf Clan has Great Poets for a Tradition, why Great?

I rolled on chat (got 4 traditions) and twice it selected poet, so I enhanced on it and called them great poets and will expect a lot to take Skill Focus Perform (Oratory) and Performer feats.

Also rolled Nat 20, Create own Tradition, so as they rolled Field of Dead for location and the dead Chief's cairns are there, it seem appropriate they tend and care for the place. also being bardic in nature, they can tell the old chief stories of "Water and Women!"

* Advance Tradition, why Bloodline of Chiefs; I rolled again for create own tradition and as Chieftainess Class level roll on chart state "New/Young and she was 6th level, well she not young, so must be new at being a chief, but with so many other High level Characters in Clan, I had to believe it was only because she had been daughter of previous chief or she would not be Chieftainess for very long!

* Tribe of Fuir-ciuil have got 7 families, but only 6 couple of adult status, luckily they can start breeding at fourteen years of age, but guess no births of yet. Suppose it also can mean a husband has died leaving a wife with the spawn to fend for herself.

* Also Garach Tribe has 8 sites, I roll on advance Traditions, got 79 twice, and rolled max for both 1d4 dice. 8 structures, hmm, so they farmers, but not wish to plough same field forever, so they move about to different plots. Makes sense.

Note: my reasoning is, just because you roll twice on same event or title, does not mean you cannot use it twice, it means instead of being poets, the great poets, renowned poets, the 1d4 villages or settlement work well even when I roll a total of 8 places, looking for a good reason to develop your story not just reroll!

A Mention of Vendhyan Kshatriya

The Vendhyan Culture mentioned in the Core Rules, is only the High Class, the Noble Class. As noted in Player's Guide to the Hyborian Age, their are other class level represented. We must remember that in such a Culture their children will be taught the right way to do a thing and for the Kshatriya, it will not be the right way to hold a begging bowl.

Note the Prohibited Class for that Noble Culture is only Barbarian and Nomad, but this is wrong and should include the rest of the Classes, bar Tempter/Temptress, which I think would be a good Favour Class for the Kshatriya.

I also note, if a Player creates a Character, and is taking a Kshatriya Soldier or Tempter, they also must select Noble Blood Feat as one of their starting feats. They are of the Noble Class and must behave as such, portentous and god-like.

I would suggest making Classes like this.

Favoured Class: Commoner Variant (The Lady), Courtier, Noble, Noble Cavalry, Soldier, Tempter/Temptress.

Prohibited Class: Every other Character Class, unless one is made to representing Nobility and Martial Chivalry.

Khitan Structure:

Had found a post about Chinese structure and converted to Khitan, just a bit of fun concerning their structure, not game rulings.
