Maps of Thurian or other parts
of the world of the Hyborian Age!

The Scholar unrolled the thick skin, preserved with strange oils and bizarre incantations etched into the hide. "A map of Thurain, I believe, created long before the last floods and ice age changed the land once more. look see how the land known as Shem is now no more, yet it must have thrived thousands of years ago in the time of the 'Hyborian Age!"

Map of Ophir:

Vincent's Map had Ophir only shown is some part of other Countries Maps. So with a bit of cutting a copying I have joined the Country together!

Note:

Ophir: I added map to Flickr to save space on this site.

The other map was a joy to do, but with more thought I noticed some flaws and tried to improve!

Also added some text!

Map of Nordheim

"The cold harsh north, with it's swirling snow and deadly glaziers, where Frost Giants roam and the Snow Devils howl!"

The Black kingdoms

Through the damp, moist jungle he roamed, pushing aside great leaves and foliage, being forever cautious that he not disturb some furious viper or touch a orchid that held some strange poison that would kill him in a few heartbeats. He paused a moment to hear the sounds of the birds in the tall trees and the chatter of a nearby monkey troupe. The tall trees created a shadowed woodland and thankfully hide the sun's rays from striking down on him, he allowed himself a moments sigh of relief, then turned his eyes once more to the path in front of him and continued his hunt.

Shem:

Map of Shem: Normal.

Map of Shem:

This has added cities, some new, some old and lost to the sands. Ghaza, is not added to 2nd Edition Conan RPG, and found a couple of other cities, that are in the west coast of Shem area and added for fun, but not see any mention of them in any book.

Note:
in Vincent's maps Ghaza is now over in east, on his Iranistani map.

Stygia

Stygia has not got a map of it's own by Vincent's work (that Vincent N. Darlage to those who do not know, not Vincent Van Gogh), so I joined a few maps together to get this effect.

Stygia:

Stygia the Rebel: Rearranged map to suit map from Conan the Rebel novel.

Note:
I work on a older computer which as a great program called Photostudio 5.5, which I can manipulate pictures, maps, etc. But once I get them to my new computer (old program will not work on my new computer and Photoshop 10 which I have has not the right tools, I enjoy on Photostudio).

Note: Redone Darfar, trying to reduce graphical blur.

Thurian Continent:

One of Vincent's maps again, but was a little frustrated about not seeing the north tip of the Vilayet Sea as it is an important route for Hyrkanian raiders into Hyperborea and beyond.

So attempted to extended it, it not a great effort, but it might help.

Cimmeria

This is a redo, using a programme on my computer of an old map I did 12 years ago on a A5 sheet of writing paper (Here). I was just noting more clans and tribes using a sketch; copied from the Road of Kings sourcebook.

But last week I scanned and erased the lines and stretch the map, then printed on a A4 and set to work adding more hills and mountains, etc.

The old picture is darker, were the new hills are much lightly pencilled. I thought not good, but the more I look at it, I think it better as it is easier to write in notes and locations on top of the light pencil.

I do not enjoy the 2nd editions idea of Cimmeria, so am doing my own; but it will take years and I am in no rush to add multiple ideas of which I yet to have.

But just for others who wish to create their own idea of Cimmeria, this is a printer friendly black and white map with surrounding countries to add their own ideas as well!

It not as like Vincent's map; as Valkia river is longer or the Great Salt Marches are in the north and not in his south, but it was just to much work to think of changing it!

Yaralet

My idea of Yaralet is in southern Brythunia, mentioned once I add it, so here it is.

Various Thurian Maps

Well, even the perfect fall, I been looking at Vincent's maps for years and it looks just fine in places, no complaints, but oops, Punt is in for a shunt.

Punt is east of Keshan, he does this in his smaller maps, but on the larger continent map, it is in wrong place.

I changed, I had maps for near 7 years and I just noticed, think I need a new set of spectacles!

I copied what seems to be Howard's original map from the 2d20 game and also place here.

And last, I took Howards map and copied over it, but notion of map is once Turan moves close to Zamora, either this is when Conan is older (not know), perhaps 60 years of age or after he sails for the west?

Changed Punt:
