Yuetshi

Slight variant from the Hyboria Fiercest Sourcbook.

Description:The Yuetshi are a primitive Culture, their foreheads are low and retreating and they wear little more that loincloths and rags. They have long, apish arms and heavy chest, but lean loins and thin bandy legs.

Culture: The Yuetshi live near the southern shores of the Vilayet sea. Conquered by the Turanians, the People of the Yuetshi hide away in their small territory and survive amongst the tall reed fishing the local waters.

Names: unknown, probably a guttural sound. A lot of Grr, yakhs, uhggs, combinations.

Religion: Shamanic beliefs, water, earth and sky.

Cultural Features:

* -4 Intelligence, +2 Strength, +2 Constitution.

* The Yuetshi are proficient with the Yuetshi Knife.

* +1 Attack and Damage with Yuetshi Knife.

* Illiterate, the Yuetshi begin play without the ability to read and write, unless they choose to spend two skill points to become literate.

Background Skills: Profession (Fisherman), Knowledge (Local: Tribal Lands and Waters) and Survival.

Favoured Class: Barbarian.

Prohibited Class: Bandit, Borderer, Martial Disciple, Noble, Noble Cavalry, Nomad, Mercenary, Pikeman, Pirate, Scholar, Soldier, Temptress, Thief.

Automatic Languages: Yuetshi.

Bonus Languages: Hykanian only and even then only a few within each village would learn that language tough it automatic for any Player Character; (Restricted by there location, the Yuetshi does not start with any more bonus languages, unless they have some extra languages chosen with Intelligence points).

Notes: The People of the Summit; The Swordsman.

* Also note, I not add into Prohibited Classes; Gladiator and Healer, one the rare chance a young Yuetshi could be taken as a slave and trained in the arenas of Thurian and Healer as the odd Yuetshi could be a Witch-doctor, local Shaman and think this Class would suit the role better than Scholar.
