Power through Lust:

At 7th level, a sorcerous Temptress can channel Power Points from their sexual partner; this seems flawed as they can slaughter their victim, especially the higher level that victim is...

The people at Mongoose just used the same chart as Power Ritual in the Sorcery Section; changed it a little and never looked at the results or role-played its effects.

A 7th level Temptress with a Cha 17 could have a Perform (Ritual) modifier of +15 (10 ranks + 3 Cha +2 Comeliness; take 10, and have a total score of 25. The maximum DC 25 is easily achieved and they could destroy a 20th level by an one hour ritual of sexual pleasures and passion; by reducing the Character's Wisdom to zero, helpless and ready for the knife.

* Wisdom 0 means that the character has withdrawn into a deep sleep filled with nightmares; helpless.

Helpless!, an assassin could not do it any easier; place a 20th and note only a 20th level for the same Temptress doing it to a 10th level Character or lower would only drain 4 PP, and he would only get a sight headache while some powerful 20th level would swoon into a nightmare horrifying coma.

Example: If a 10th level Barbarian had Wis 12, he would be reduced to 8, -2 to Wisdom based skills and -2 to Will saves. If same 10th level reached 20th level, he would have Wis 14 and he would be reduced to -2 Wisdom and he would be in coma for one day before he could rise again and if attacked he could not wake from his helpless state.

A New Way

Temptress Power Ritual: Much like a sorcerer's 'Power Rituals,' effect; a Temptress uses her Perform (Ritual) skill against a single male.

* Time spent in passion: 1 hour +/- 10 minutes /Con modifier. A bonus reduces the time and a penalty extends it. There is no limit to the amount of times she can try this on a victim, though after eight hour of continuous passion, she may become fatigue as in the normal rule of excess activity.

* Fortitude roll after the assigned time for both participants, DC 10 + the participant's Strength and Constitution modifiers. A failed Fortitude roll will cause the Character to sleep via exhaustion. This will halt the process of power gain, whether the Temptress sleeps or her intended victim; for the power is only gained through sexual activity.

Note: The Temptress gains a +2 bonus to her save if she has 5 ranks in Perform (Ritual) and another +2 bonus to her save if she has 5 ranks in Knowledge (Arcana). This also works in reverse, for it does no good for the Temptress to tire her sexual partner so he goes to sleep; she can use her skills to reduces the sexual partner DC even further; -2 to the male's DC for 5 ranks in Perform (Ritual) and another -2 to the male's DC if she has 5 ranks in Knowledge (Arcana). She need not apply this reduction is she wants the target to sleep normally.

* Before the ritual is finished, the victim is allowed a Sense Motive roll versus the Temptress' Bluff. If he succeeds he can pull away at the last minute; sensing some discomfort, deception and possibly something sinister in the Temptress' actions.

* If the victim does not sense any threat, the Temptress now rolls a D20 + Perform (Ritual) modifier + Magic Attack + Temptress Class levels only vs Target's D20 + Sense Motive modifier + Will save + total levels. Then note the difference between the two rolls and divide that by the victim's level to gain the total Power Points drained (minimum 1 Power Point).

Example: Tazala a 7th level Temptress plans to gain some extra Power Points from her encounter with a male Barbarian called Thaug of 5th level. Tazala has a normal Constitution of 11; so after 60 minutes she can attempt to gain extra power. (If she had Constitution of 8 it would have taken 70 minutes, if Con 14, it would have only taken 40 minutes.)

Thaug forces Tazala to made a Fortitude save vs DC 15 (+3 Str 16 and +2 Con 14), she grants him a DC of only 5 (-1 Str 9 and +0 for a Con 11, -4 for having 5 or more ranks in each of the above mentioned skills).

Thaug rolls for his passion making; rolling 5 +6 =11 he makes the roll and staying awake, and would have even without Tazala's assistance. She rolls a 9 +2 for her Fortitude score. This is too low, but she can gain a total bonus to her save of +4 for her 5 ranks in the two skills required to assist her. She just makes the roll and survives the barbarian's lusty passions.

With both partners awake she can start to attempt to power drain...

Thaug is allowed a Sense Motive to notice if he is being manipulated just before each drain attempt; so his first attempt on the 59th minute is a roll of 11 +1 = 12; he as no ranks in Sense Motive, she Bluffs and gets 19 + 9 = 28, Thaug does not notice the deception.

She rolls 6 + 18 Perform (Ritual) modifier +7 for level +7 MA = 38; he rolls 5 +1 Sense Motive modifier +5 for level +6 (+1 base, +1 Wis 12, +1 Gift, +3 CoH) for his Will save = a total of 16. The difference is 22 divided by victim's level, means she gains 4 extra Power Points (round down) and he gains 4 Wisdom damage; she can continue for another 60 minutes to gain more Power Points, spending the afternoon, evening and night time draining the hapless Thaug till he has no Wisdom score left and swoons and has horrific nightmares of some witch sacrificing his life on a bloody alter.

Note Also: Thaug loses 4 Wisdom (non-permanent), but his perception skills and Will save rolls are reduced also as his 12 Wisdom is reduced to 8.
