[GM Post]

In the heart of Verdance, a small town mainly populated by humans located close to the city of Meridian, the rush of the bustling streets begins to die down at the end of the day. As the sun sets, merchants pack their stands and return to their homes, children are shoo'ed in by their parents, and stillness returns to humble village.

However, the party is just beginning in the town's one and only tavern, Barrels and Flagons. Famous for their honeyberry mead, the tavern is always packed with all sorts of interesting characters.

While usually it is all merrymaking, tonight, trouble is brewing.

"Oi, you! Cottontail! Ain't you a little young to be here, little missy?" A rather inebriated large thug walks forward unsteadily, a threatening scimitar hanging from his waist and two lackeys trailing behind. One tall and slim, the other short and stocky. "Why don'tcha let yo big brother buy you a few drinks, huh?"

>"Cottontail? Oh, you mean me? Teehee~"
>"Sorry to disappoint but, I'm♥A♥Guy!"
>"I do appreciate it though, maybe my reputation as an idol precedes me? ♥"
>"Regardless, you're totally not my type, ne~"
Love Story (Pass.)** now in effect.
>"If you understand though, could you ♥please♥ go bother someone else?"

Nari proceeds to jump lightly off the bar stool and dance around to a table with some other warriors occupying it. While Nari himself does not know them, he quickly makes them his friends while gesturing toward the thug-looking-person.

>"I mean someone as cute as me being bullied? Total tragedy."
>"Maybe go teach them a lesson?♥"
Love Story (Pass.) now in effect.
>"Just ♥ for ♥ me~"

The thugs begin to look unsettled as the warriors at the table begin to glare at them.

**Love Story(Pass.): User’s lies are easily believed, provided they’re believable. User’s requests are more likely to be heard. Increases charisma by 3(+). Sentient races will find it harder to attack user. Non-sentient races will find user to be a more desirable target.

"Uuh huh." The large thug stumbles back, away from the warriors, clearly intimidated. "I'll be, uh, over here."

"Idiot." The tall one smacks the thug on the back of the head and the latter nearly upheaves onto the ground. The tall one pinches the bridge of his nose and says, "Do something useful for once you big lug." He turns and glares back at the warriors.

"Now look here you bunch of rocks for brains, you're going to let that little pansy make you do his dirty work? Or are you going to man up?" He draws the scimitar from his downed friend's side. "And you! Are you just going to sit in your corner and laugh at us all day?"

>"Who me?" I said confused.

I stand up, puff out my chest, and say in a steady intimidating tone,

>"Who do you think you are picking on those weaker than you~, cute too," I said with a smile~

*I reach for my sword but don't unsheathe it.

[Valis Garad]

After several days of travelling and a few hours of gathering in the surrounding forests, Valis wasn't far off from the city of Meridian. He decided to take time to replenish his supplies in the town.

"It's getting pretty late out there, boyo." The shopkeep told him as he handed over assorted goods. "The roads around here are laden with bandits and monsters and the sort." The man didn't sound too convincing. "But lucky for you, boyo, there's some fine drink to be had at the Barrels and Flagons."

Of course. Scare travelers into staying the night and generate revenue for the town. Who didn't like a nice drink? Or five? Valis had spent enough time in the surrounding area to know that it was relatively harmless. However, it'd been a while since Valis had been in interesting company, "Thanks."

[The Barrels and Flagons]

Valis was casually sipping his mead with his hood down until a voice caused him to almost involuntarily turn around. A fight was breaking out between some drunkards and a.. girl? Girls? Whomever they were, it seemed they were holding their own well enough. Valis was content to just watch the event unfold before him.

[Barrels and Flagons]

>"Hey now, hey now, you sure you wanna hit me? ♥"
Nari proceeds to twirl around and punch a thug. While there's not much strength behind it, he knows where it'll hurt the most even with his pitiful strength.

>"Don't think I'm all that useless please, I wouldn't pick a fight I couldn't win. ♥"
>"Whatever, you're undeserving to hear my voice, it's showtime!

Nari begins to sing a lively, upbeat song as strength fills everyone in the tavern.

Form: Pop is now active. Firework is now active.

Winking at everyone but the thugs, the lively voice pumps through the air inside. Some are staring, mouths agape while others seem to be readying weapons. While the warriors that were prepared to beat up the thugs for Nari are now looking rather murderously at everyone in their line of sight, the thugs seem to sense an incoming bar fight as they unsteadily ready their weapons. The leader seems to be whispering in everyone's ear, with the exception of the one knocked down by Nari just earlier.

>(Singing) "It's the climax, so let's go! All out! Anything ♥ Goes!"

[Barrels and Flagons]

A full blown fist fight had erupted in the tavern. After the first thug turned around and socked the guy next to him, weapons were forgone in this full-out bar brawl.

Kashar had pulled her fist back from bashing some poor chap's face in when she came back to her senses. All she had thought was that the girl being hassled by the thugs could use some help, but then after the girl began to speak, Kashar just couldn't help but feel compelled to pummel the next guy over. After the first punch was thrown, all the restraint was for naught and the battle had begun.

She couldn't give the guy picking his teeth up from the ground a second thought when a another two men rushed her from the side.

Their eyes widened as she lifted them both and flung them into a wall next to a young elvish boy with a hood.

[VerdanceBnB, a local inn]
Having just woke up, Mochi stepped out of the inn she was staying at and started her evening walk. It was the second night she had been at the town , and she was all up for exploring.

[Town square]

As she quickly found out, Verdance is a small town. Stepping into one of the clothing stores around the square, which was really just a fountain and a few benches, she quickly struck up a conversation with the salesman.

>"Umm, hi, is there anything around verdance that's interesting?"
>"Wha- don't go around slandering the name of me ol' verdance! I was born and raised in verdance and not a single day is boring! Just look around for Pete's sake!"
>"Sorry! I worded that wrong. I meant that I'm new here, and, umm.... If there was any place I could go look around that was like... Uhh.. a tourist place, you know?"
>"Ah! Yes. Pardon me. I love this little town, Ya know, and I won't stand for anyone makin fun of it. Well, for starters there is the Barrels and Flagons tavern, which has the best honeyberry mead in the known world."
>"Thanks! I'll be sure to check it out."

Grabbing a grey striped blouse from the singular rack that occupied the first floor, she quickly paid for it and thanked the salesman.

[Outside The Barrels and Flagons]

There was a fullblown barfight. She could tell from the bottle of unopened honeyberry mead she caught flying out of a broken window. Wow, it tasted great, too! Mochi decided to bring some home after she was back from her trip. Looking behind her to the guy that flew past her, she could see he wouldn't be awake for at least a day. Pulling out a syringe, she drew one pint of blood from the man's jugular. Pouring it into a flask, she said "itadakimasu!". Sitting on a bench outside, drinking her daily quota and watching the brawlers do their work, she wondered when she would get a chance to purchase some mead. Over the noise of glass shattering against bone and bone shattering against glass, however, she heard a voice singing a pretty song. Poking her head through the door and dodging the guy that flew out of it past her, she saw a guy get tossed towards a hooded figure. On top of a table, a girl was singing her heart out, and she seemed to be the energy that everyone was fighting to. Wait, was that a girl or a boy?

Why I never! Valis felt inexplicably offended by the two men who dared create a ruckus near him. His blood began to boil for no reason. Perhaps if he were in a more sober mindset, he'd be able to control himself but now...

"In the name of my mother!" He yelled as he did exactly what his mother wouldn't want him to do. Valis loudly chugged the rest of his drink and charged into the crowd to sock someone in the face, the stranger didn't take too kindly and returned the favor, knocking the young elven boy on his back. He quickly sprang up and found himself standing- rather unsteadily but standing- next to the brute who'd thrown those two men him. "Y-You there!" He managed to say, "I.. er.. I don't.. I don't quite like what you did with those two gentlemen."

As the boy called out to her, Kashar scratched the side of her head in wonder. Her brief moment of inhibition had past, and unlike the others around her, she had not partaken in any of the local specialty. She could see clearly that the hooded boy seemed quite out of it.

Kashar thought, "As drunk as he may be, he holds himself much differently than the other thugs around here, an adventurer perhaps. Odd."

Her interest peaked, she asked, "Alright boy, what are you going to do about it?"

Kashar lowered herself into a boxing stance, leaving her axe, untouched, on her back.

"I.." Valis scratched his chin even though it didn't itch at all, as a matter of a fact it was starting to hurt, "I.. was just going to tell you that I didn't approve of it-" Valis released a loud belch and rubbed his stomach, "You see, my mother raised me to avoid violence at all costs and.." The inebriated elf began an abridged but still lengthy tale of his birth and ended on why he was carrying around his dagger. "It's all self-defense- I mean no harm to anyone."

"I... See..."

Kashar tensed suddenly, and ducked. Another drunken brawler sailed overhead. Pushing herself up, she extended a hand to the inebriated youth. "Good to see children still respect their parents."

“Indeed.” Valis almost dropped his weapon as he moved to sheathe it. “Now, I’d just like to get to the main Human city: Meridian.” He phased behind the large woman and kicked a would be assailant away, “Ow.. ow…” he keeled over and clutched his head, “Perhaps.. you would… join me… for a bit”

“Fancy trick you got there,” Kashar said as she kneed another in the gut. “We can discuss traveling together later. I think there are more...pressing matters to attend to.” She misdirected another punch away and got inside of the guard of the tall thug, knocking him out with a sound uppercut.

“Yes, yes, yes, now..” Valis felt a pressure build up in his head, “if you would… argh… be so kind as to.. cover a boy who cannot hold his-”

“Are you goin—”

“Pardon—” Like a dam breaking, the contents of Valis’ stomach within the last hour were voided onto some poor soul who happened to be unconscious in front of him.

“Beautiful.”

Colette was coming to the finish of a weeklong trek through the woods. Her arms ached. Her legs ached. Everywhere ached. To her delight, the quaint evening streets of Verdance appeared through the brush as she finally maneuvered her way out of the dark forest.
"CIVILIZATION!" she shrieked, jumping up and down on the cobblestone. "Well, kind of."
She soon began to take notice of how tasteless and tacky the buildings of the little town were, and immediately rolled her eyes in disapproval. The maiden hobbled toward a nearby bench, clutching onto a branch she found in the woods and fashioned into a cane for dear life, and finally collapsing.
"Whew!" she breathed. "I could really use a pick-me-up right now.." Removing her velvety knapsack from around her shoulders, she shuffled clumsily through the mess of books, maps, herbs, and empty snack wrappers to find her sinewy coin pouch. "Aha! Okay, let's see if this little peasant village has Meridian delicacies of any sort.."
After several minutes of stretching and doing some calming breathing exercises, Colette finally made her way into the musty confines of Barrels and Flagons.

She immediately noticed the commotion before her, several large warriors brawled incessantly over something very stupid and unworthy of her time, obviously.
"Ew, ew!" Colette screamed, stepping around a few unconscious bodies splain across the floor. "What kind of a filthy hole-in-the-wall is this?"

When she finally made her way to the bar, she fell dramatically onto the nearest leather stool and requested for the finest sampling of Peruchian non-alcoholic pineapple champagne with a hint of rhubarb.
"Um, miss, we don't serve that here," the gruff-looking bartender muttered. "We do have honeymead, if that would be of something to your liking."
Colette blinked furiously. "Then I'll just have a sparkling water, I guess. NO ADDED SUGAR, PLEASE!"
After several minutes have passed, the bartender finally returned with a dirty, cracked glass filled with her requested concotion. Without even a thank-you, the young mistress took a sip proceeded to comment about how disgusting and low-class it was.

The evening progressed as she grimaced at her surroundings and emptied her glass.
