- — Ability Information
| [—] Strengths & Weaknesses: Xenovia's strengths and weaknesses are yet to be discovered. |
Offense i | [i] The Body is a Weapon: Xenovia is trained in unarmed combat. She also knows that combat is not the only way to achieve victory: she is trained in sexual techniques and seduction interactions. Emotional Intelligence: Xenovia is trained in persuasion, and in seeing through lies and other verbal deceptions.
[ii] Induce Pain: Xenovia has the ability to create feelings of intense pain in any creature that possesses a nervous system. While this does not cause any physical damage, the imagined pain is so overwhelming that the creature is stunned for 1 ooc minute(s) (at tier 2-4). Tier 5+ can stun creatures for 3 ooc minutes.
[iii] Genetic Memory: When this ability is activated, Xenovia can access her ancestral memories – this allows her to amalgamate the various skills and capacities of her ancestors. For the next 5 ooc minutes, she gains might and speed edge, and she is trained in any physical task (including combat skills) that she undertakes.
| Persuasion ii | [i] Suggestive Voice: After a minute of observation or interaction, Xenovia can modulate her voice to appeal to or take advantage of any sentient creature. For the next 3 ooc minutes (at tier 4, tier 5+ can hold out for at least 5 minutes), she has an asset in any vocal interactions with an individual target. This ability can only be used on one target at a time, and does not apply to interactions with automatons or ultra-terrestrials.
[ii] Imperious Voice: When interacting with a sentient creature of tier 3 or below, Xenovia can activate this ability to give this creature a single command (e.g. ‘reveal all you know about the location of the bandit camp’ or ‘do not attempt to attack me or my companions’), which it will attempt to obey to the best of its ability for the next ten ooc minutes. Creatures cannot be made to harm themselves using this power, and only one creature at a time can be made subject to her Imperious Voice. Automatons and ultra-terrestrials are not affected by this ability. | Strength iii | [i] Superlative Metabolism: Xenovia can control her body even at a biochemical level – she is immune to most natural diseases, and are trained in attempts to recover from the effects of drugs, drinks, poisons, or other chemicals.
[ii] Biochemical Manipulation: Xenovia can finely manipulate your biochemistry. By creating the requisite biochemical signatures, Xenovia can induce a bonus to her Might or Speed edge, which lasts for ten minutes. She can have only one version of this ability active at a time.

- — The Reckoning
[—] History: Xenovia Nahuatl was born to two Abhuman parents in the capitol of The Steadfast, Navarene. Her mother was a well-rounded Nano who raised Xenovia and her three sisters alongside their scatter-brained father, who was a scientist of sorts. Some of Xenovia's earliest memories are that of her sneaking down into the basement at ungodly hours of the morning to spy on her father as he slaved away over nameless tasks. He would always busy himself with something that her mother would usually scoff at, something that would become a loud, heated argument between the two of them later that night. Xenovia's mother worked for the government in The Steadfast, and it kept her busy enough. Xenovia learned to be self-sufficient at a very young age, being that she was the eldest of her three sisters. She practiced a motherly routine in the home while her mother was away at work; educating and caring for her three younger siblings. She passed down what knowledge she had learned from her mother on how to cook, clean, sew, and nurture. She was skilled in the art of home economics.
With such an attractive seed finally sprouting and blooming into the teenager she had became, Xenovia found her free-flowing personality oozing its way from the depths of her heart in the rare times she was alone within her house. If there was anything she'd gotten from her father, it was his susceptibility to obsession. She begins to lust after the thought of traveling far, far away from home. She makes a habit of sneaking into the basement to tamper with her father's instruments, study his maps, and copy illustrations of far off lands into her own personal journals. She begins to spend less time in the house as her sisters reach an age of efficiency. Xenovia spends hours upon hours in the city, people watching. She studies the art of interaction, memorizes social norms and practices them at home with her family. It created the illusion that her parents had raised a perfectly normal young girl up to be a perfectly methodical teenager.
Unfortunately the bickering between her parents never saw an end. In fact, the girls had become accustomed to the incessant arguments between their mother and father. Xenovia, seeking a healthy outlet; began sneaking out late at night with her journal, taking notes as she studied the slumberous world around her. She and her only friend, Zohara, would spend hour upon hour acting out their romanticized ideas of domestic life. They would assign roles to each other. For example, Xenovia would play mother, Zohara being the father, and together they would play a game of "house", as they called it. Xenovia would work her innate charm on Zohara, practicing what she would soon learn was a very precious, special gift. One night, after romping around in the Steadfast with Zohara, Xenovia returns to a very devastating, unsought surprise. Her mother was not in bed. Xenovia and her sisters sat up all night, watching the front door in hopes that her mother would miraculously reappear and sing out "I'm home!", and that would be that. All would be okay. Xenovia's mother never returned, and her house becomes divided as a result. Xenovia, her sisters, and her father all dealt with the loss of their mother in their own quiet, secluded ways. Not long after, Xenovia's sisters become of age, and they all marry into rich households. Their husbands all owned extensive farm land in Navarene. Xenovia was happy enough for her sisters. She watched her father give each one of them away, at each of their own respective ceremonies. Xenovia hadn't worried about turning her sisters over to the new men in their lives. She knew they'd be taken care of. She figured it would be refreshing for them to experience a more luxurious lifestyle, something much more exciting and wholesome than the life they were accustomed to. She worried about having to face her father. She worried about having to share a now very empty house with the withered husk of a man that she had grown to resent for the disappearance of her mother.
Xenovia's thirst for information beyond the dirty dishes and unfolded laundry within her home could not be clenched until she became acquainted with a world for beyond Navarene, The Beyond. Her first adventure to The Beyond was rather chaotic. She'd only heard about the malevolent creatures and wrong-doings that were hidden there, but seeing is believing for Xenovia. She needed to experience it for herself. At age nineteen, she runs away from home; leaving her father for good. Xenovia struggled with conforming into society her entire life. She always felt more comfortable watching it from a safe distance than actually participating. Hand in hand with Zohara, she treks half way across the map to The Beyond. Upon arriving, Xenovia worries that she's made a grave mistake. The creatures of the dark rear their ugly heads, making it difficult for them to go even a day without a battle. She worries less about her own well being, and more about Zohara's. She single handedly charmed her only friend into quite certain death. It was the only time in her life that Xenovia had truly experienced fear. It curled it's cold, gnarly fingers around her heart and squeezed. She felt defenseless, even more so when Zohara would look to her for guidance, for answers.
Being that her friend could Speak with Beasts, Xenovia works alongside her companion to tame the beasts of the dark, and make peace with the small, uncivilized congregations of people that lived there. She builds a safer environment for Zohara, and herself to live. She works hard to contort the land into their favor. She knew very well that she and Zohara could never return to Navarene. They were seen as missing persons, and that's how Xenovia liked it. She couldn't bare to face her father after leaving him, just like her mother had. The beings of The Beyond begin to look to Xenovia for guidance and structure. She manages to introduce societal norms to a small group of people, making her an unofficial Queen of The Beyond.
After a few years of living in The Beyond, Xenovia finds that a few adventurous Abhumans sometimes stumble upon her land. Utilizing her charismatic witchery, she captures them and introduces them to her following. She ends up forming a small coven of misfit Abhumans, something she would later call The Coven of The Beyond. Zohara and the coven members develop a nasty case of Stockholm Syndrome, an attraction that has them working entirely under Xenovia's spell. Xenovia watches over the coven members as if they were her own children, protecting them from all of the harsh terrors that lurk in the land around them. Xenovia's following doesn't see much of The Steadfast. Though they are allowed to roam freely as long as they remain in Errid Kaloum's boundaries, which is a small, underpopulated town near The Black Riage. Most families that live in Errid Kaloum work in the mines to gather enough money to support their families. Xenovia rules over this town specifically, making it a kind of sanctuary for the coven.
