Wild Western Town • • • Brief Island Description: Home, home in the west! Where the sheriffs know best! Wild Western Town is perfectly suited for showdowns at dawn and to make dramatic entries when needed, long story short it is the perfect place to have a movie worthy quarrel. This town isn't only suited for fighting though, even though the streets are almost barren it is a place where you can sit down in the Saloon, grab something to eat, a drink or two and chat with the residents. Speaking of the residents the people of Wild Western Town are quite friendly and interesting. They'll tell you stories about past draws with their amusing western accent and possibly give you a place to stay if you're spending the night. Though the residents may be nice, there are still some desperadoes looking for a fight and will do anything even twist your words, to fulfill their lust for adrenaline. Alright, lets get onto the economical stuff now. Wild Western Town's main source of income is it's resilient coal fresh from the mines. They burn long, bright and will give whatever you're using the coal for a little kick. The coal is so resilient that it can be used for a second time and keep some of it's "oomph" that it had the first time. Even though the coal is pretty expensive, Wild Western Town is able to sell a lot in a short amount of time but why don't they make their town more advanced? I think it's a theme thing. Locations: The Salty Spitoon: Known as one of the toughest places on the island, and for a town that has a great love of fights and showdowns that’s really saying something. This large two story tavern has the hardest liquor, and is often frequented by the hardest of marines, pirates, or bounty hunters that visit the island. Fights break out all the time, and the owners actually bolt the tables to the ground to discourage people lifting and throwing them. Although even that’s not enough to stop some people. The Devil’s Sinkhole: A dangerous part of the island far from the actual main towns. This gigantic hole just leads straight down into the ground, and some of the tunnels actually lead into it. it’s old, a result of some overzealous mining a few decades back. There’s still some coal veins visible on the sides of this great deep thing, but the bottom is incredibly far down, leading to the joke amongst the town that it leads straight to the Devil’s home. The Showdown Circle: Wild Western Town is known for its fights, and as such one of the most well known and popular places on the island, is the Showdown Circle. In the center of the town, in the main square, a large circle was etched into the ground. Here people with grievances are allowed to settle these issues the old fashioned way, by stepping into the showdown circle. Sometimes rules are laid out, sometimes it’s a good old fashioned quickdraw, sometimes it’s a brawl, sometimes it might even be anything goes. Either way, events in the Showdown Circle draw a lot of attention in town. |
