She has rather long pointed ears much like an elf might have that are pierced. Her eyes are a piercing shade of yellow with solid black pupils, a metric ass ton of purple eye shadow, and full, dark, and strong eyebrows. She has a largely slender figure with modest breasts but thicker legs given her species requiring some fair amount of leg strength. Legs that turn into large banded and clawed feet that could be most easily connected to darkened peacock feet. Her hands happen to have these dark claws as well. Her feathers that spread from her head, arms and butt are a combination of purples, turquoises, and blues, very diamond-like in shape. She wears dark lipstick, usually black and has a scar just at the bottom of her lip that she covers up in the colour as well. Clothing: Vol overall isn't a big proponent of wearing clothing, wearing mostly copper wiring with little gemstones inserted into them, what it does cover is a decadent biton her upper arms like arm bands, the world's flimsiest bra featuring a few peacock feathers most likely from her own body, and a pair of beige panties with more feathers on them, which on that note, not entirely flattering but given her attire, that was probably enough anyways. Vol wears a copper diadem with a blue gemstone embedded in a spiky canvas. She happens to also wear large hooped copper earings, and a necklace wit ha similar gem held with a sparkling string. Vol has two golden hued bangles that she wears on her wrists, not only are they effective for blocking certain attacks but they act as a catalyst for all Vol's Watt Magic. Accessories: Extra: Picture: Spoiler: click to toggle Personality Vol is a woman of two sides, sweetness and maternal love as well as spite, vindictiveness, and rage. Through her experiments in creating a homunculus, she discovered that she derives great pride and pleasure from taking care of something younger and less experienced than herself, albeit she would probably get the same feeling from taking care of a pet that she would an actual child. She has a soft spot for all that she creates and feels sorrow when her projects don't go through successfully, usually spiraling into a brief depressive state before she picks herself up and tries again. She has a deep grudge against the witch population of Gothia and vows to one day return and enact vengeance on those who cast her out but until that day she would prefer to work on her abilities and create more life until she amasses an army of her precious children. She most enjoys the hours of midnight to dawn as that's when she can get her work done most effectively. She is an avid researcher and has her nose often sunk into a book, something she likes to do while drinking mint teas. Her favourite foods include paiea, calamari, and very rare meat. She takes an hour each day to spend time with her lovely homunculus doing whatever they want to do with her and spoils the shit out of them. She doesn't take kindly to having her intelligence questioned and finds it difficult to refuse taking a challenge, only avoiding doing so when she absolutely has to. She dislikes sweet foods and can't stand mushrooms. Vol happens to be afraid of thunder rather ironically given her electrical abilities. Being very prideful, slights upon that pride will enrage her and essentially land a person on her hitlist, a list of people she is very willing to kill and eventually plans to. History Born in Gothia's dark swamps, Vol belonged to the family of one of the many witches that lived there. However, Vol was destined to be banished from early on, the harpy witch had always had a great interest in the creation of life. In fact it was a downright obsession and was what led to her being rightfully ejected from the swamps. She'd been robbing the graves of Gothia for a few months when she was caught by the others of the coven and held in trial for jeopardizing the safety of their kind, if the humans pieced together who was stealing corpses they would probably blame all witches rather than the individual and they'd all be in dire straights then. Even her parents couldn't defend Vol's actions here but pleaded that she not be executed openly, granting Vol only the mercy of exile. While her parents rejoiced that their child wouldn't bite the dust, Vol only felt hollow and betrayed. Despite obviously having got off easy, Vol became bitter towards the coven and made her leave as soon as she possibly could, gritting her teeth and clenching her fists as she packed up her stuff and trekked out. Since then she'd taken to traveling from island to island, robbing more graves, piecing together corpses and trying all she could to reanimate them from their eternal slumber, trying to create what was essentially her own version of frankenstein's monster. And after years of trial and error she finally did it, using her own catalysts as a catalyst, electrifying the corpse to life with her magical doodads. After years of bitterness and resentment, she finally had justification for all of her acts and felt a real sense of accomplishment, joy, and pride. But her work wouldn't stop here, she needed to make sure this homunculus wouldn't fall apart and that it was going to be able to function in crowds. She took it upon herself to teach her homunculus how to blend in with society the best it could, not attracting attention to itself, the ability to be polite and avoid fights absolutely wherever it could. Partially as a way to make sure she wouldn't have to worry about anything in the event it got out and about the islands they visited, partially because it sort of instilled a sort of parental-like feeling inside her to do so. Of course though that only would last so long, about three years later, her homunculus killed someone who tried to mug it and the marines trailed it back to Vol. She was furious but more concerned for her precious creation than anything and fought off the marines before making an escape. Soon she was charged with a bounty for unethical experiments, graverobbery, tampering with and desecrating the dead, and while not explicitly a crime, an extra danger of her capability for apparent necromancy was added to the notes of her abilities as well. Full harpies have full bird wings while half-harpies have more human-like arms and hands with the feathers. All harpies are capable of flight. b]Witch (2 Traits) -[/b] Witches are typically a nomadic sort of people who often live in solace, away from each other. Though they may often meet to perform rituals and exchange knowledge, they keep separate due to the natural prejudice people have against them. Though it is not uncommon for them to integrate back into society and live ordinary, mundane lives so long as they can hide their abilities. Others may be welcomed and embrace their abilities for the benefit of those around them or to earn their keep. Some are feared for the power they possess. There are no real physical traits that define if someone is a witch, it is all traced back through family lineage. However, they may frequent being accompanied by a familiar and possess a sort of tattoo or birthmark which depicts a constellation of the night's sky. Witches are capable of using magic as a natural weapon. However, this magic is always weaker without a catalyst/focus weapon at their disposal. Any techniques performed without a catalyst/focus weapon on hand cannot be high than Rank 50 as a result of this. This is because of a decline in their culture and way of life, the blood of their magic has become harder to draw upon without a catalyst or focus for their magic beyond the spark they carry within themselves. Catalyst/Focus Weapons are specially designed weapons for witches that must be imbued with their magic while being created, even if the weapon takes on the appearance of a mere wooden stick or crystal ball. As such, their Catalyst/Focus weapon must always be Kannouheiki [Proficient Weapon] or higher and are required to take the appropriate ability perk; Proficient Perk [10], Strong Perk [+15] or Dangerous Perk [30 - 70] as part of the weapon to be able to cast magic above Rank 50. Average Warrior, Brilliant Scientist (3 Traits): Anything is possible with the magic of science! What's that you say? It's contradictory?! BALDERDASH! Scientists relentlessly research their field to bring the world new and fantastical inventions, from the wonders of technology to biological enhancements, if there's a science, you bet your ass someone has dedicated their life to it and possibly others. Those with this trait are able to build more abstract creations often with a dangerous or ultimate rank in cost(such as cloning, splicing, putting fruits into objects, creating mechas, etc.). Brilliant Scientists get a 50% discount on items/weapons based on technology. This discount is non-stackable with other traits.(items with magic or curses or whatnot are excluded from this, only weapons and objects in ships count on the topic of ships) Omniscient (4 Traits) - For every 3 points put into accuracy (up to a maximum of 75), the score increases by an additional 2. Doing so causes a devastating level of damage to the earth where it hits.
