探検家 NPC Type: Site NPC 探検家 Name: Tuss Reinor Nickname: One Man Avalanche Age: 52 Gender: Male Race: Human Height: 8'5'' Weight: 386 lbs Faction: Drum Island Militia Crew: N/A Reputation: No Threat Profession: Drum Island Millitia Sniper Fame: Level 2 Vessel: N/A Hometown: Bighorn, Drum Island, Grand Line Physical Description: A large man on the heavier side of things. He has a bit of a gut from all his time spent not moving and gnawing on jerky. His arms and legs are well built from years of trecking across his home island to get into good sniping positions. Tuss keeps his head shaved, but not his beard. Only trimming the later when it starts getting in the way. While he may have a belly, his body is still surprisingly youthful. Most of the man's age shows in his face which is covered in wrinkles. Under one eye he has a scar from his days as a young man. Thanks to his older age he usually keeps a hunched over posture, but his sturdy rifle makes for a fine walking stick. Clothing: Anytime he is doing anything, Tuss wears a bright red union suit. While not on sniping duty he wears a bright green sweater with dark green pants, but the union suit will still peak out. Overtop he wears a Light gray overcoat made of pelts from the local wildlife. On duty the man is covered head to toe in Lapahn furs, usually wearing a helmet made of a whatever he caught for dinner the previous night head to make himself look like wildlife as an extra layer of camouflage. One main flaw in this outfit is that he still wears the union suit, so when moving from one location to another people can catch a glimpse of red. The one constant, besides the unfortunately bright undergarments, is the black boots he refuses to not wear anytime he is outside, being the last thing his late wife made. Accessories: Tuss isn't a fancy man. He doesn't even own a piece of jewelry. But what he does have is red and white cap shaped like the mountains Drum Island is known for on his days off. This tall cap also serves as a place for him to store his favorite jerky with all the room it has. Extra: Under his left eye is a scar from a brawl he got in during his younger days. And after a drunken night on the town with his fellow militiamen, Tuss also has a drum tattoo on his arm with DIM on top of the ink mountain. He usually keeps this covered unless he can't help it. Picture: Good Side Personality: Tuss is usually a quiet man. He hunts, watches the island, and cooks all on his own. But when he gets any amount of alcohol in his system he becomes a party animal. Back to his normal personality though. Age and tragedy have given Tuss a hatred of the weather on Drum Island. While before he would streak through the snow without a problem, now he always tries to bundle up. When he deals with invaders of any kind he is almost happy to eliminate them, thinking of it as freeing them from the terrible cold the island has so much of. Ever since he became an adult, Tuss had a switch that could turn him into a madman. Alcohol. When he gets drunk the man is easily set off, but usually has enough piece of mine to stumble off into the cold night. Nowadays the man prefers to be alone, even when around his friends. That isn't to say he is mean or hateful, but he just prefers to be on his own. The quiet of the snowy wilderness helps him focus on whatever he is doing. Jerky is a favorite treat of his, being something that is easy to carry around and doesn't taste bad frozen. When not drunk the only thing that can get him mad is something insulting or ruining his boots. History Born and raised as a proud citizen of the Drum Kingdom. Tuss joined the militia at a young age to keep his island safe. it was his duty to repel evil marines and pirates alike. From his training and natural talent, he ended up one of the top gunners in the militia, even winning a few sharpshooting competitions while riding on the ropeway. Keeping the Drum Kingdom and the Isshi-100 safe with his friends was all he could ask for. But one night the young Tuss got in a bar fight with a man from another squad. He won but nearly lost an eye. The two of them were also both suspended from militia duties for a week. During this time off duty, Tuss took to walking along the shores of the island late at night. On the night before he went back on duty he was on his usual walk when something strange caught his eye on the shore. A woman had washed up with no wreckage in sight. Even in his tired state, the man managed to get her back to his home. It was only upon setting her in his bed that he noticed the coat she was wearing was that of a marine's. Upon the realization, Tuss was torn between what to do. Would he abandon his duty to save a stranger or leave her in the cold to die? In the middle of his thoughts, the woman awoke for long enough to thank him for saving her before passing out again. Her voice was angelic to Tuss. With his decision to learn more about the woman before deciding, he kept an eye on her over the next few days. Bringing her food, helping her stay warm, but keeping her in bed to prevent her or someone else causing trouble. Tuss learned her name, Lucile. From what Lucile said, she was on a ship attacked by pirates. All of her friends in the Marines were dead or lost at sea and as far as her family knew she was dead too. Tuss comforted the woman as she cried herself to sleep many nights. Slowly but surely he got her medicine to nurse her back to health. No longer in the Marines by that point, Tuss introduced her as the woman he saved to others around town. He kept up his military duties as Lucile started to integrate into the town's people. Together the two were happily living together. After a few years, they even got married. They could only afford one ring, but Tuss insisted Lucile be the one to wear it. Everything was going well until one-night Tuss was promoted for his sniping ability. His buddies in the squad convinced him to go drinking and Tuss was Tuss. By the next morning, he hadn't returned from stumbling off into the night and Lucile took after. Just a few hours later Tuss returned as a blizzard started. His neighbors told him about Lucile taking off, so he went back out for her. After hours of searching, Tuss finally found her. Frozen to death on the shore they first met. He was used to the cold living on Drum Island his whole life, but she never did adapt to it. The man mustered all of his willpower to bury her before marching back to town.
