Name: Horace Danafar
Nickname: King of Winter, The Timeless King
Age: 89 Officially (Rumoured to be over 200 years old)
Gender: Male
Race: Human(?), Witch
Height: 6'9"
Weight: 234 lbs
Faction: Drum Island Kingdom
Crew: N/A
Reputation: King of Drum Island
Profession: King
Fame: 4
Vessel: Drum Island Royal Rank 5 Vessel
Hometown: Drum Island; Grandline
Physical Description Horace is a tall yet weary looking man with pasty blue skin that is as wrinkled as his outlook on humanity. His withered appearance is the result of a long life that some have claimed to have spanned over two centuries, however this is merely a rumour. His face is square like, with a hooked chin and a strong jawline that is covered in a mess of frayed white hair, serving as a thick beard that appears as though the cold has left it hard and brittle. Just above his bristly white moustache is a hooked nose and a set of eyes that are so sunken that some actually mistake it to be hollow, however if someone stares hard enough, they can make out the beady gleams of blue that lurk within. The old king has a horrid mess of long white hair that dwarfs even the likes of his beard, growing cruel and jagged and appearing more like sharp thorns than actual hair, no doubt a side effect from the frigid temperature that he often tortures himself with, claiming it to be a remedy. The old King has a very unnatural appearance, not even factoring in his old age, as his skin is a pasty blue and he often has a certain musk to him that makes it appear as though he is not even alive.

Underneath his layers of clothing, one would unfortunately find a frail looking form, decrepit and shrivelled like a prune. He is incredibly slender and tall, making him look rather unnatural and most of all, unnerving. Despite the obvious frailty of his form, he is surprisingly strong and muscular, sporting very dense musculature that has been honed from centuries of combat and experience. Although he does have a sturdy body, a few centuries of life has still left it to be a shell of it's former self, and he is noted to be weaker than before. The numerous scars littered across his hairless body is testament to his many years of battle, as well as the fact that he has walked out of it with his life intact.
Clothing: The King of Drum Island is unusually dull when it comes to his wardrobe, preferring to wear thick woolly robes as opposed to anything grander. He clads his body in warm blue garbs, which reaches down to his feet. Underneath this decorative garb, he wears a pair of loose fitting pants and dark boots to go along with it. His upper body is left unclothed, leaving it up to his robes to do most of the concealing. While the robe isn't as extravagant as one would expect of a King, it is still quite exquisite in a simple manner, with the robe being lined with soft white fur and embossed with many golden patterns that scale along the outer rims of the sleeves. Finally, the King wears an exceedingly large white crown, made out of a sort of never-melt-ice, with it's sharpened, jagged points serving as the sharpened portions of his crown. This crown is incredibly long, with said spikes easily jutting out to reach an entire foot, with the spikes parting outwards to serve as a way to balance the bizarre looking head ornament.

Personality
The King of Drum Island is as cold and unforgiving a person as he appears, with his heart encased in a tomb of ice. His many years of life has brought about many opportunities to jade his experiences with the outside world, with one tragedy after another to have him close off his heart, turning him into the ruthless monarch that he is today. He is a stickler for tradition, and one that absolutely demands respect from all who wishes to be in the same room as himself. He sees himself as above everyone else in his Kingdom, and he would quite easily punish any one of his subjects with just a yawn to show his disinterest in the morbid nature of their punishment.

While he is ruthless and unkind, his thoughts are always put towards the prosperity of his Kingdom, and the betterment of his people, even if he cares little for them on an individual basis. People always assume that he would abuse his powers to live the life of debauchery and lavish sin, however the King of Drum Island is a very simple man, who prefers to be on his own to ponder to himself or to enjoy his own company, as he considers everyone else to be burdens or annoyances.

In truth, what the King does on his own is practice powerful arcane magic that had been cultivated for many years, amassing power within himself so that he may be rid of the single entity that had earned his unbridled animosity over the years -- the World Government. His loathing for those government stooges is so intense that he would even forgo the bitter rivalry that has existed between his Kingdom and the outer laying tribes that exist on Drum Island, forging alliances with Chieftain's, all in order to solidify the unity of the Island and make sure that they could meet the threat of that superpower at any given opportunity.

Even if he is a very cold and unloving person, even a man such as himself is quite well versed in politics, allowing him to adopt a kinder facade that he shows in public, with only his most loyal subjects being aware of the true insidious nature that lies beneath. He is extremely ambitious, with his chilling gaze often looming over the few tribes that he had failed to gain control of, and even the neighbouring islands themselves, with the only thing stopping him being the World Government's constrictive choke hold around his neck.

He longs to be rid of that unnecessary organization, so that he may conquer and expand his influence across the world, and have everyone understand the love that he has to offer. He is deceptive and intelligent, having worked under the radar without the Government being none the wiser about his true intentions, not until he had completely left their influence and bared his fangs. He is more than willing to sacrifice any and all of his people to meet his ultimate goal of world conquest, though he often enjoys playing the part of a frail, unseemly old man, either for strategic reasons or for sick satisfaction.

History
Horace was born as the only son to the then King of Drum Island, Hector. As the only prince and heir to the throne, he was thrown into the world of politics and rigorous education from the time he could speak, never really being able to enjoy what it meant to be a child nor experience much parental affection as both his mother and father were extremely busy royals who had to tend to matters of the court and the well being of the Kingdom. The boy would try to drown out his boredom with numerous antics and stunts, but nothing ever seemed to catch his drifting parents gazes, not unless he did something that shouldn't have.

As he grew older, his loneliness grew into frustration, making his teen years his most turbulent as he often acted out and threw tantrums whenever he could. His parents would often buy him off with extravagant gifts and play things, giving him little value for the things that he had as he always figured he could get more. He had his first true brush with his more morbid self as he was playing with his carriage down a rather empty street, having knocked over a child and split his head open. The boy died, and before authorities or anyone could point the finger at the true culprit for the crime, his father made the entire incident go away, instilling a deep lack of empathy for the deceased and making it appear as though human life was a trivial thing as well.

After the incident, he was forbidden from riding again, but sure enough, after a few kicks and screams, the father relented, further paving the path for the young lad's descent to depravity, as he had established a pattern of being able to do whatever he wanted, if he was upset enough. His parents showed that same level of disinterest well into his young adulthood, but by that point, Horace had chosen to ignore much of his parents feelings in return, preferring to do his own things and at his own pace, not even showing much care for his own title of prince in the process.

He had taken to reading as an outlet for his crippling loneliness, and over the years, he had stumbled across quite a few peculiar extracts and texts that seemed very unlike the rest. These texts spoke of such unimaginable things, such as magic and demons and even one extract about reviving the dead. His curiosity over those texts grew into a disturbing obsession, as he went out of his way to find similar bits of knowledge on the subject, anything and everything he could possibly get his hands on with the vast wealth he flaunted in his fathers name.

After a few hard years, he had finally pieced all the knowledge that he required, and in a mix of frustration, thirst for power and a desire to be accepted, he actually went about practising these dark arts, in a bid to be recognized by his neglectful parents. He gathered the ingredients necessary to perform a certain spell -- it was a simple one, but one that would surely catch the attention of his parents, and once he was prepared, he thought to test it out for good measure.

He ground the ingredients and mixed them together, reciting the incantations inscribed on those withered texts. He did so with an unnatural level of fascination and hope, and sure enough, his spell had succeeded...however, he would soon come to learn of the price he had paid for the spell he had unwittingly cast, for the final ingredient that this spell would take, with or without the consent of it's user was in fact...their soul. His skin turned a pasty blue and his black hair was hushed into a shriek of white, leaving him to appear as nothing more than a ghost of his former self, like a monster made of ice and hate.

In a blind rage and with his mind shrouded by the malevolence of this black magic, he confronted his parents in secret, and committed an act of true barbarism, by slaying them then and there. Having given up on his humanity, he felt that the only way he could be acknowledged was by going ahead and becoming the new King, and in order to do that, he had to do away with the old monarchy, how unfortunate for his parents. He wasn't completely robbed of his reason however, as he was quick enough to frame their murder on someone else, and in midst of the ensuing chaos, he managed to take his fathers reins as the new King, installing himself with little to no opposition.

His unnatural blue skin left him shy and severely bitter, making him unwilling to be out in public for extended periods of time, leaving rumours to float about the strange Prince who became a King. He ruled his Kingdom with an iron fist for many years to come, doing everything from the comfort of his castle, and rarely ever leaving it, expecting all who wish to be heard to come to him instead. The years turned into decades and soon enough, another rumour had floated by, one of promise, as it seemed like this King had passed away and had given his throne to his own son.

All a ruse of course, as the King had to find a way to keep up this charade, for he knew that they wouldn't understand the sort of powers that he now held in his grasp. His frost like body is entirely the reason for his longevity, as he is not truly alive but not dead either, appearing more as some sort of dark spectre or lich king.

Witch/Warlock (3 Traits) – A race of nomadic people who have been apart of he world for as long as the devil fruits themselves. Usually quiet about their abilities and such, they keep to themselves and live the lives of normal people. This race of people have no special physical attributes about them to set them apart from other humanoid beings. Witches/Warlocks come in all shapes and sizes, some of them even look like they may be from different races all together. However all of them seem to hold a similar trait among their magical kin, they all have some form of birthmark which can resemble a tattoo on their bodies.

Witches/Warlocks are able to call upon a single type of magic which is created through the bodies with the aid of Catalyst. They have a very hard to drawing out their magical powers without this catalyst and an even harder time focusing their spells without it. This catalyst is a focal point which lets them harness their magical powers in order to create potent abilities -- You only need one Catalyst to harness your magic, and the Catalyst is only required for you to be able to use your magic past rank 50.
