Getting from Blue to Blue was never not going to be a major hassle, but Ritz would have to argue it was worth it for the unique flavors they each held. Few people could claim to have left their home stretch of ocean due to the difficultly, let alone the three he'd seen, not even counting that he hailed from the Grand Line. In a way, it almost felt like all his earlier "see-sighting" ventures had led up to this one; because Mafioso Island was everything he missed about Neon City, and then some. It was violent and grimy, full of people willing to kill you just as soon as say hello, and flaunted it's many vices with pride. Truly a paradise if he'd ever seen one. The thief arrived via a cruise liner looking to stock up on rations, and hadn't re-boarded after they hastily loaded up with what they could and left, presumably out of fear or possessing no sense of adventure. The days that followed turned into blur of hedonism and debauchery, until diminishing funds had slowed the pace of Ritz's partying. Attempts to rebuild his fortunes were fairly successful at first, yet poor luck and attrition eventually wore the winnings down to nearly what he'd started with. Unlike almost anywhere else in the Blues, even petty theft or armed robbery weren't inviting solutions to his problems this time around, seeing as the citizens here were tough as nails. It just didn't seem worth it. Ritz sat alone at a table on a Cafe's terrace as sunset on another fun day drew near, idly watching the crowds going about their business beyond the wrought iron fence that separated shop from sidewalk. A tuna sandwich and a cup of black coffee were still well within even his reduced budget; although, he could go for a second of the former, prices be damned. Honestly, it'd likely be a lot cheaper in the long run to stock up on food now before trying another long night at the gambling parlors. They always had a habit of marking their notably lower quality fare up another 100-200% compared to a dedicated restaurant. After placing an order for another three tuna sandwiches, as well as a refill on coffee, the thief busied himself getting ready to light up a cigar. As usual, he pulled out a dry- cured stogie from his denim jacket's front pocket, but had to pat himself down in hope of finding his lighter and the cutter. A dive into the left pocket of his blue jeans produced both items, and within a minute had the cigar clipped and lit. The otherwise vacant terrace allowed Ritz the luxury of taking a long draw and letting out a large plume of smoke, without potentially drawing the ire of follower diners. "Thanks." He stated with a small smile, when the waitress brought out his to-go order in a brown paper bag and topped off his coffee. The thief caught her attention before she could turn and go back to attending the customers inside, peeling off several bills from a roll of Beli for her tip. Not doing so could've bought him maybe another hand at Blackjack or another spin of Roulette later that night, but not tipping good service almost seemed a sin. Ritz let out another long stream of smoke while he rose to his feet, sliding his saber back on his hip and picking up his sandwiches for later. Almost as an afterthought, he knocked back the coffee, then clenched the cigar in his teeth Forgoing heading back inside the Cafe to exit, he vaulted over the fence to land on the sidewalk, quickly getting swept up in the crowd. Apprehension over the risk aside, compulsion drove him to casually swipe wallets here and there from distracted parents with little kids or the careless elderly, while window shopping in front of a few interesting retailers down the main strip. |

For now Kara decided That she would leave the kid in the with Doctor Nekina. With the affection that the young girl imposed Kara wasn't sure whether she was fortunate or not to have happened upon the girl, but seeing how the chance encounter offered the mink a place to sleep for the time being as well as a safe haven away from the Zeze she could admit that things for now seemed to be for the better. Casually as Kara left the clinic she found her hand unconsciously drawn to the bullet wound that she had received from her encounter which now had been perfectly closed and stitched. It didn't hurt or itch that much. The mink just needed to be mindful of her movements for now. From the Clinic Kara made her way to the streets of Mafioso. Kara doubted that her previous captors would try anything in daylight so as long as she was mindful of where she went it should be fine. In fact when you ignored the prior events Mafioso didn't seem like a bad place at all. In fact in the day it seemed like most other places that Kara had visited. This train of thought however managed to bring Kara back to reality. She had just been abducted a few days ago, and now that she could finally walk around with some freedom she needed information about her current situation. Kara’s first destination was the local police office in order to inquire whether there were any reports on a missing little boy, but alas there was none. Kara tried to pry details out of the little boy earlier herself, but got nowhere. From this Kara could only assume that ppl were being threatened into keeping quiet. “What a pain in the ass.” The mink said as she left the police office. With no direction the mink soon found herself wandering aimlessly for hours. It was as she neared a local cafe that Kara’s wandering was suddenly interrupted by something sharp now poking into her back from behind. “Alright Kitty if you know what's good for ya then you are gonna keep quiet and head into that first alley on the next block. If you get any funny ideas then you and I are going to have a little fun painting this sidewalk red if you know what I mean.” The voice came from behind and it seemed to belong to what Kara could assumed looked like a common thug. If she wanted to there was no doubt that Kara could dispatch with the man, but who knows this might actually be an opportunity. Reaching this line of thought Kara complied with the thug’s request with a sigh. Without saying a word Kara walked into the alley away from prying eyes. |

The risk Ritz had associated with pick-pocketing on this particular island gradually waned as his successful attempts kept mounting. In fact, by the thirty or so mark, the activity had become downright boring. Not to mention crowding in his own pockets had begun to be an issue. The thief found a bench between a shady tree just a yard or two back from the sidewalk, and started to tally up everything he'd picked up as soon as he sat down; arching all the emptied wallets into a nearby trashcan with a toss as he finished with them. It soon became clearly evident that fleecing those with kids and the elderly in particular had almost been a waste of time in hindsight, seeing as those typically were two of the poorest class of denizens walking about. These new funds gave Ritz a little wiggle room, but not nearly as much as he would've liked. Almost nothing interesting he passed on the street, besides the food carts and souvenir peddlers, was in his acceptable price range at the moment, not that he saw anything he couldn't do without. Before the thief could even consider other options for gathering money in a hurry, a sudden tightness in his bladder shifted his priorities in an instant. A quick glance over the crowd and down the block unfortunately didn't reveal any public restrooms or even portajohns within sight, changing his options drastically. With no immediate alternatives, other than to chance that one of the nearby shops had an available toilet, he dashed into an alley around the corner. "Hey." Ritz muttered halfheartedly when discovering he wasn't alone in this grubby backstreet, yet not caring enough to give the guy with a gun or the woman he assumed was about to be robbed, and/or murdered, a second glance. The thief quickly found a spot next to a dumpster to fit his needs out of view, setting his sandwiches on an old refrigerator box, then unzipped his pants to get down to business. A content sigh escaped from his smiling face as the pressure from his bladder subsided, the pitter-patter of liquid hitting masonry just adding to the calming atmosphere. After the stream reduced to a trickle, the thief used one hand to tuck his tackle back inside and zip up, while the other removed the cigar from his teeth to knock away a few inches of ash. He turned to leave, noticing the pair people for effectively the first time. "Oh, don't mind me." Ritz stated flatly, then spun on a heel to pick up his sandwiches and slowly start back towards the sidewalk again. |

As Kara and the mugger eventually came into the alley, they both became somewhat shocked at the odd man that just suddenly seemed to walk into the alley. What made the matter even more awkward was the fact that he proceeded to get behind the dumpster and tale a leak without any mind with what was happening around him. The mugger that was supposedly holding Kara seemed legitimately frozen in shock. Taking advantage of this Kara quickly stepped to the side and spun behind the man, grabbing his wrist with one hand and the man’s neck with the other the mink without pause slammed the man face first into the brick walls that lined the alley causing him to drop the gun. “aaggh! Fuck!!” the mugger groaned ijn anger and frustration as the pain from hitting the wall. Now powerless the man could only struggle and curse as he stood there helpless. As this was happening Kara could hear the strange man that had been urinating near the dumpster finally notice the situation that was unfurling within the alley, but to Kara’s surprise the only reaction the man gave was a quick. ‘Don't mind me’ as the man picked up his sandwich. Now even becoming a little frustrated herself Kara extended her claws from her hand that was behind the man’s neck and pressed them into his jugular “Stop moving” Kara said in such a stern manner that anyone listening would clearly perceive it as a threat. Immediately the man froze on the spot. “Ok, ok, I stopped no reason to get all handsy. Look what, you want money? I just scored a hundred beli scamming a guy this morning, it's yours.” the mugger said sounding somewhat shaken. “That's so generous of you, but if are going to spare your life here then I am going to need something a bit more valuable.” Kara said with a playful smile. “Hey look lady that's all I have, what else do you want from me? A kidney?” the man responded nervously. The man's response caused the mink to have a good chuckle before leaning over to the side of the man’s face and whispering into his ear. “ It's nothing too difficult, I just need you to answer a few questions of mine. You do that and I can spare your life sound good?” Upon hearing this a chill ran down the man’s spine as he wondered exactly what the woman was after, but seeing his position the man relented and answered every question that the mink asked as best he could. The questions consisted mostly about the mafia that ruled the island, the areas that they ruled over, their relationships with the other families, the current goings on within the families, and even key figures within the organizations. The total exchange took about half an hour, but at the end of it Kara could finally feel that she had a good enough idea about what the island actually was. True to her word after Kara got what she wanted she let him go, but not before taking ownership of the man’s gun, and his wallet that apparently contained a lot more than just one hundred beri which earned the mugger one last dirty look before he scampered his way out of the alley. |

Seconds after he'd turned his back, Ritz's thoughts went back to contemplating his financial woes, and whether gambling or a table dancer for the evening would be a better investment in terms of fun, completely putting the man and his mark out of mind. He didn't immediately equate the command to “Stop moving” to the people he'd just met, only turning around with a curious expression after not finding the speaker above or against the walls on either side. The reversal of the scene he'd had previously walking into was interesting, giving how fast the predator had become prey, but the fact the woman seemed to have animal ears was downright intriguing. "Huh, that's new." Ritz said in a subdued tone, strolling closer to the pair having a tense conversation. A surprisingly sturdy, discarded end table next to the dumpster made a nice seat for the show. The offer of a kidney to square the debt owed for this failed robbery made the thief chuckle under his breath, but it was the woman herself that continued to command his attention. Her top-notch figure was actually of secondary importance to the odd addition of animal anatomy to an otherwise human looking person. He was sure there was a simple explanation for this, but it was the first time he'd ever seen anything like it. That automatically made her the most interesting looking person he'd run into over in the Blues so far. While the interrogation went on, Ritz continued to sit quietly and commit to memory everything he managed to catch from the conversation. A steady pace of taking puffs off his cigar understandably reduced it down over time, until he flicked the stub away to land in a puddle of either water or his piss from earlier. Towards the end he unfurled his to-go bag and removed one of the sandwiches, starting in on one of the halves more out of boredom than actual hunger. Acclimating to the outdoor temperature had taking a slight toll of the Tuna's quality, but it was still more than palatable. He only hoped the warm mayo wouldn't play hell on his guts. Seeing the man actually get to leave brought back Ritz's look of curiosity, with just a hint of disapproval this time around. He'd really expected the woman to put a bullet in the guy's head with his own gun. "That was nice of you." the thief commented before taking another bite of his food, sliding off the end table to once more stand. He allowed himself the briefest of diversions to stretch and work out some kinks from sitting so long, finishing off that half of the sandwich as well while doing so, then cautiously approached the armed former victim. "Nice ears. Never seen anyone like you before." he rambled off in a soft cadence, moving his upper body around where he stood to examine her features from different angles. Ritz's eyes went down to her ass, to confirm it was as nice as he'd assessed earlier, only to notice a white furred tail was present as well. "Hm, that's cool. How prehensile is it?" He asked in the same tone, really focusing his eyes on that area, hoping to see some feat of dexterity. "I assume they're real?" |

“Well that was nice of you,” Kara could hear the voice of the man who had just relieved himself behind the dumpster coming from behind her. Giving off a sigh Kara tucked away the man’s wallet and gave off a sigh before turning around with a disapproving look on her face. “So, you are still here.” Kara said in a somewhat tired tone as she turned around only to find the man finishing his stretching exercises, and upon completion the man began walking over towards the mink putting her on edge as she readied her claws. Rather than attack though the man began looking over her body paying particular attention to the things like her ears and tail, even going so far as to ask the prehensile strength of her tail. “~Sigh, look buddy, i get that this is your first time seeing a mink, but this isn’t some side show. I have quite a few things to work through today so I don’t have time to mess around.” Kara said as she tucked the gun away leaving the alley way. True to what she said the mink genuinely didn’t have time. According to what the mugger had said the mafia members that attacked her yesterday was most definitely the Zeze family. Thinking about the singing that Kara heard while she was bound up and the details that she had saw while trying to escape that was most definitely their territory. As Kara walked down the city streets Kara decided that her mission for the day was to stalk the Zeze family. The bar that served at their territory’s center however was quite all the way on the other side of town. Facing this fact Kara couldn’t help, but give a sigh as she began her trek. |

The non-answer Ritz received didn't deter him from further examining the woman's added appendages, but he didn't follow as she walked away. "Mink. Mink. Gonna have to remember that." the thief muttered, watching her ass and tail with equal curiosity before she exited the alley. Like before, with interesting anatomy out of sight, he went back to wondering about his own problems. Instead of going back out, Ritz wandered further down the alley, hoping the quiet would help him to collect his thoughts. Well, quiet besides the sounds of rats rooting around in trash cans and a wino loudly hacking up a lung on a stoop. Contrary to his typical habit, the thief gave the haggard gent a sideways glance in passing, only to stop and stare at the closed metal door behind him. The lettering had faded and begun flaking at parts, but it was still easy enough to read off 'Barzini Brother's Fine Jewelry'. Robbing a prize target like this guaranteed the difficultly would be magnitudes more dangerous than pickpockets, yet the potential for acquiring a small fortune in one shot was too good to pass up. Still, rushing in with a sword demanding money would've been stupid. Looking down from the door, Ritz studied the wino gazed up at him in alcohol fuel delirium, formulating a simple but effective plan for this potential heist. "Hey, wanna sandwich?" Negotiations with the Wino went predictably quickly, thief getting everything he wanted for the small asking price of two sandwiches and 10: a disguise and a bottle bottom tier hooch. After shooing the now only stained underwear clad Wino off to find another alley to die in, Ritz started rapidly stripping down himself. He redressed in a grubby former white T-shirt, khakis with fraying holes all over and a pea green trench-coat that reeked of having laid in far too many gutters in its lifetime. The thief had planned on switching his boots out for the tattered shoes he'd also bought, but decided that might've been a blunder, throwing them into a trashcan instead. Good footwear could make all the different in the world for a well executed escape.Honestly, besides the smell, Ritz quite liked his new outfit. He wouldn't be wearing it for long though, so he neatly folded his denim ensemble and placed it inside his backpack, then tossed it on the roof along with his saber for safe keeping. The thief caught himself whistling a jaunty tune while he unfurled the paper bag he'd had the sandwiches in and punched two eye holes, continuing even after sliding the improvised mask over his face. It barely took a flick of his finger to shatter the base of the liquor bottle, turning a blunt instrument into a decent enough shiv. Again, Ritz decided to do a few stretches in the alley before getting down to work. Wanting to make the best first impression possible, he put the bottle aside for a moment then grabbed the door by its frame, pausing a few seconds before pulling back with all his strength. The metal door and base tore free from the otherwise concrete building with surprising ease, at least for Ritz, so much so he stumbled back a bit off-balance. Tossing the door aside and retrieving the glass shiv, he rushed into the store's backroom. Amusingly, he was barely made it a few steps into the building before crashing full speed into someone he assumed was one of the Barzini brothers, who had stood staring awestruck at the nearly sundered service entrance. "This is a robbery...." the thief muttered halfheartedly, looking down at the crumpled body of the mousy older gentleman he'd sent flying into a wall with that little accident. Besides having his head propelled through the wood-paneling assuredly to the other side, he didn't seem to be in too bad a shape afterward. Ritz lacked guilt over this little accident, but felt so much less enthused since his picturesque vision of this plan had fallen apart almost instantly. He grumbled in a gruff undertone as he turned to stroll towards a door at the end of the hall labeled 'OFFICE'. |

Now that she was in the light it seemed that all the memories of a few nights ago were coming back to Kara as she felt that she had somehow gotten an understanding of the area's layout to reassure herself of this Kara took a walk into an alley and jumping off of the walls and made her way up one of the building's roofs. From the high vantage point could see much farther into the distance allowing her to get a much better idea of the path that she had taken nights prior. Without much hesitation from then on Kara began jumping from roof to roof in search of someone that might fit the description of one of the ones that had chased her some nights ago, but as she continued to roam while being wary that she wasn't spotted on the streets below she couldn't really find anyone that matched what she remember. So somewhat lost at what to do Kara sat down and began to thing. As she thought the mink the mink tapped her leg searching for any clue that might give her some idea as to where she could find a member of the Zeze family. It was then that Kara spotted a large crowd of people gathering to enter into an establishment. From within the building’s walls Kara could hear joyous singing within the structure and a the familiar smell of pizza that seemed to flow when someone opened the door. Without a doubt this was the place. The mink took great care in approaching the establishment from above and situated herself right on the building’s roof. Once there Kara took care in listening in to the various conversations happening below and from what she could hear it sounded as if the building was used as a karaoke bar. This was definitely the place. Still listening Kara could hear all kinds of gossip about about the social lives of not only the patrons, but also those who worked inside. The names didnt mean much to Kara since she didn’t really know of any of the men with the exception of Vinni, but there were some useful things that she managed to learn like who was married, who liked to go out drinking, who was a dirty cheat, though without a face there wasn’t really a lot that the mink could do with this information. It was around the time that Kara was finally getting tired of eavesdropping when she heard a door from the back open. Surprisingly it was a face that she knew. It was the very large man who carried a large bat. “Alright see ya later Donnie” a voice said from inside as the large man waved goodbye. Hearing this Kara gave off a small grin. So Donny would be her tail. Immediately upon setting her sights on the man it was as if Kara had switched into some kind of primal instinct. Her eyes narrowed and whether through alleyways or over rooftop Kara made sure not to leave the man as he went out to lunch at a pizza shop, went out to go get laundry, visited family, and then finally made it back home at night. All things considered the mink was somewhat disappointed as she perched herself on the roof of the man’s small apartment building, seeing how riled up that she had become to shadow someone the fact that the end result turned out to be so ordinary couldn't have been more disappointing to the mink. With her focus now lost Kara could clearly notice the emptiness of her stomach as it growled at her angrily. After not eating the entire day it was only natural that she would feel this way. The thought of calling off her little stalking project was starting to seem somewhat pleasing to Kara for a moment, but she soon decided against it at least partially for her own stubbornness. With an empty stomach time seemed to drag on until finally night arrived. Edited by Yomi, Apr 6 2018, 04:29 PM.

Ritz mild disappointment turned to outright malaise after he gingerly entered the cramped office, only to find it empty of people, and a massive safe with multiple dials taking up the back wall. Normally, such a daunting security device would have him almost salivating at the thought of testing his skills against it; however, the fact it was visibly slightly open defused what would've been a fun challenge. The only thing he hated more than people who took their security too seriously, were those people who were painfully lax with theirs. He just had to stare at the imposing safe for a moment and mentally remark the shop might as well have put their cash in a broom closet. Despite his lost enthusiasm, the thief fully opened the safe and started stuffing his pockets with the fat stacks of cash arranged on the shelves within. The monolithic storage container was filled from floor to ceiling with all manner of wealth, various gems and coinage along with the paper money, far more than he could even try to carry. In less than a minute, the pockets of Ritz's pants and traded trenchcoat bulged to the breaking point with Beli bills, and he hadn't even put a dent in the wealth before him. A quick search around the clutter office netted him a stack of folded bank bags, no doubt for doing the occasional bank deposit, which he used to continue his personal withdrawal. While Ritz could've theoretically taken more if he'd been willing to make two or three trips, but he decided to limit his thievery to just six large bags of money in one go. He exited the office with three in each hand, using his feet to open the cracked door, only to nearly bump into a carbon copy of the older gentleman from earlier, just sporting different clothes and a pistol. The thief's foot connected with the dapper gent's chin before he could even bring the gun to bear, and like his brother his head got catapulted through the building's structure, only this time it was the ceiling. Ritz left the man dangling and escaped out the back like he'd entered, checking to see if the coast was clear, then used a running start to arc himself onto the roof with a jump. At the risk of his robbery being discovered, he took the time to switch out of the homeless disguise and back into his actual outfit, transferring the cash in his pockets to the backpack afterward. Most of the wealth he kept in the bags, making transportation easier when he started leaping from low roof to low roof, leaving the shopping district behind as fast as he could. Crossing over into the residential district, Ritz slowed down to look for a fitting place to hide his new fortune for a while. Honestly, all the candidates on the ground level left a hint of worry that someone would accidentally find where he'd squirrel it away, so started scouting roof structures instead. It didn't take long to find a utility shed on the top of an apartment building that he had a good feeling about. A short climb and a bit of lock-picking later, and the thief had effectively secured himself a safe of his own. Just using the cash in his backpack, Ritz was able to enjoy his evening living it up gambling and catching a floor show like he'd wanted, but a lack of hunger kept him from sampling the gourmet food at the time. He didn't even frown after losing all the money he had on one particularity bad hand of blackjack; instead just leaving with haste to go fetch some more from his rooftop stash. On the climb up he paused a few times to enjoy the view of the cityscape, really liking how the lights and activity below illuminated the night. The thief had to raise an eyebrow when after reaching the building's summit and finding that mink woman from earlier seemingly waiting for him. "Oh, hey, it's you." Ritz stated nonchalantly, after hauling himself over the roof's edge onto the structure proper. "So, after you finished those things you mentioned you decided to stalk me, or is this just a pleasant coincidence?" he added in the same tone, cautiously approaching with a slow stroll. |

As the mink laid on the roof holding her stomach she watched the night fill with stars. For some reason looking up at the vast expanse always filled her with a sense of loneliness, but before it seemed that she would even have a chance to feel such emotions she suddenly spotted an unwanted familiar face. Kara's face cringed for a moment as she saw the man quickly climb onto the roof top. "Oh, hey, it's you." the man said with out quieting his voice in his usual nonchalant manner. The man quickly brought himself up onto the level that Kara was camped out on while he continued speaking. "So, after you finished those things you mentioned you decided to stalk me, or is this just a pleasant coincidence?" In that moment could feel the desire to choke the man, but rather than action Kara found herself completely forgetting about the situation and began yelling at the man. "SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Kara shouted at her unwanted interloper, but no sooner had she done so that she recognize that a door had opened beneath her. Recognizing what had happened Kara froze as she looked to her side to see Donnie seeming to stare right at the two. Immediately the man darted into the house. Not wanting to let her prey get away Kara darted from the roof onto the terrace and followed after the man. No sooner had the she reached the inside of the house did the mink's ears pick up a click that reminded her of someone pulling back the hammer of a gun. Instinctively Kara hit the ground right before a loud gunshot fired off filling the area right above her full of small holes. Kara looked up to see the the man's shotgun pointed directly at her from the other side of the room. If she remained still then there was no doubt in the mink's mind that she would suffer the same fate as the wall behind her so she quickly darted to the other side of the room evading the large man's second shot. Confident that she could intercept the man before he would have the chance to reload Kara now charged at the man at full speed. Seeing his attacker charge right towards him Donnie then quickly flipped the shotgun around with its butt facing Kara and then proceeded to attempt at slamming the gun into the mink's face. The mink only narrowly managed to dodge the man's attack and afterwards grabbed onto the gun and released a stunning shock into the man's body. As electricity coursed through the man's body a scream escaped his lips. Even after the shock however the man seemed to still have some fight in his eyes and so over and over Kara continued to let out discharge after discharge until the man no longer even had the power to stand and proceeded to fall down to his knees. With his grip now loosened Kara snatched the rifle out of the man's hands and flipped it around. In one swift movement then Kara then reached back and slammed the butt of the gun into the large man's face knocking him out. " |
