King Leon looked at the crowd, reading the faces of his people. His face was now calm, and laced with understanding. "Release him," He said authoratively to the tallest soldier holding Vale.

The merfolk protested, but he hushed them with a hand, "My children, have we not been known for our understanding of foreigners? War or not, we are still an intellectual race or logic and mercy."

The crowd bowed respectfully after a moment of thought and returned to the city, seeing pride in their acceptance of this foreigner.

King Leon turned to Vale, "This seems to be a temporary son swap, and so being, your act will not go unpunished. You thought rashly, and almost started another war. My men will escort you back to the castle." As he spoke, three soldiers lead him back to the city, along with a few others following them.

King Leon then turned to his son, "No need to worry then, the plan will continue as first stated." He then turned and urged his beast to the city, the remaining soldiers and citizens following him.

Jtein had stayed, of course, he then went to King Kardon, his basilisk twitching nervously around the strange steads of the one-tails, "I hope to do my best to represent my people accuratly, King Kardon." He dipped his respectfully and readied to follow them.

---------------------

As soon as Vale was back in the castle, King Leon went to him, "First, you are to learn all of our laws, our common language, and as punishment for your rash actions, you are to do all the chores for the Sacred Chambers until you have earned the respect of some of my people. My children and maids can educate you, now be off, you have a lot to do," King Leon then turned to two of his soldiers and began swimming into the higher parts of the castle only for him and his direct family.

Gefren went to Vale, shyly. "I hope you wont hold my quick assumptions of you against me... It's just- you don't know how great a 'no-no' that is, it's almost as bad as killing someone for no reason... To us at least- But, I'll help you learn how to speak our common language, Jason can teach you the laws- I hate all that memorization, gives me a headache!" He smiled and began swimming to his rooms, "Come on, you have a bunch to learn, we should get started!" He seemed to have totally let go of what had happened only a couple minutes ago.

King Kardon couldn't help but smile as he saw Vale released. His son certainly had a way with words that few could attain. However, he still saw the look in his youngest son's eyes, and he felt a pang in his heart. The lad was terrified, though he kept it hidden.

Before his son was escorted away for an indeterminable amount of time, King Kardon swam to him, easing apart the guards around him. "My son," he said, embracing Vale. Vale's eyes widened. The King was not usually so expressive amongst his own family, let alone in front of large crowds. "Make me proud." And with that, he swam back toward his own guards and the prince awaiting him, leaving Vale feeling more alone than ever.

-----

Back at the castle, Vale was in a foul mood. He said nothing but the necessary "yes, sire"s and "thank you"s to King Leon. He felt betrayed. He hated this place. He wanted to go home, and now he was stuck here until an official end to the war came about, which could be years. And, to make it worse, he was stuck doing chores for the goddess, who seemed little more to him than an average, spoiled maid locked in a room. He sat at a table, tapping his fingers and glaring about, his aqua hair floating about him like his anger had whipped it into a frenzy. At least he could glare and be angry when by himself.

Yet, when Gefren came to him, he couldn't seem to wipe the glower entirely from his eyes, or the scowl from his lips. He realized he was acting like his father's real son, but at least he had a right to be angry and wasn't throwing a tantrum. It was bad enough he was stuck here, but this goddess business just pissed him off, to put it bluntly.

Despite this, he still had little choice but to follow the younger prince. While here, anyone held more authority than him, and if he didn't comply with what these people wanted and expected, then he would certainly fail not only his father, but his people and all the people depending on this possible peace. If he failed, then all of his people that had died - the sons, fathers, brothers, daughters, mothers, sisters - would have done so in vain.

Lucky for Vale, though, he was very quick to pick up and remember just about everything. He had learned his own country's laws in only two weeks - something most scholars could do little more than blink at. With any luck, he would get through this quickly and then be left to his own devices throughout the day, except to clean for "her highness."

Um, I don't know if you actually want to write out the lessons or if you'd like to skip over them, because I would prefer a skip, but don't really mind either way.

Skip the lessons, lol ><

Gefren led him to his room and wrote down the Common alphabet of their language and the sounds each of the characters meant. There were 73 characters, all complex and different. "Here, memorize these first, and I'll start teaching you tomorrow. If you don't know the sounds we have, you'll mispronounce things and get everything confused with similar-sounding words. So just start on this, tomorrow I'll start teaching you basic words and rules and stuff!" He handed the paper to Vale, "Keep this, let's go visit Kala."

He swam back to the tower, making sure Vale was following him, of course. He stopped at the door and knocked before swimming in slowly.

Kala swam past him to Vale, "You stupid boy! They would have killed you had I not ordered them not to! I cannot leave!" She swam back to her couch and sat down, she seemed tired.

"As his punishment he has to work for the tower- for you." Gefren stated quietly.

"I have nothing for him to do," she said back matter-o-factly.

"Well, maybe not now, but- That's not the point! Tell us a story, Kala!" Kala looked up from her couch at Gefren. He nodded, "Tell us a special story!" He pulled Vale over, "She is not without talent, Vale, you must see, you must see!"

Kala smirked, "It's nothing, go read a book!"

"No, please, please!? Tell us the story of Princess Chenets and the human- the birth of our species! Vale has to see!"

"Fine, but no more for a while!" She sat up, "You should sit down and relax for this, Vale..." She then began quietly, "Once upon a time, there was a beautiful woman..." She moved her hands and light spouted from them, making her words spring to life. "She was special, you see, for while the great mother gave birth to her in the oceans, her legs were ensnared in the great fibers of the great mother's finger. She reached and grabbed the sacred tree to pull herself free, but instead-" Finally the world around them became the story, Kala's voice echoing to them.

she snapped off the finger. The great mother snarled at her foolishness and the woman tried to be free of the bloody finger, her wide hips not fitting to let her escape. The great mother reached down and picked up the small woman in her hands. The woman begged forgiveness and pleaded to be able to live. The great mother, in all her wisdom, forgave the woman and turned the finger into a magnificent tail and gave her gils to breath. She warned the young merwoman though, that she would fall in love with a human and die birthing her third child. The young merwoman then asked the great mother to give her a mate, to spare her life. The great mother granted her wish and gave birth to a merman for her.

For many years, they lived happily, they had two wonderful children. One misfortunate day though, a fishing boat captured her husband. The humans, being so afraid of this strange beast quickly killed him. The merwoman swam to the boat, crying at the men aboard it for killing him. The men tried to kill her too, but another man stopped them, the captain, this merwoman was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. When their eyes met, they fell in love instantly. Three years later, she gave birth to twins, but the large size of the half human, half merperson children was too much for her, and she died, just as the great mother had warned her she would. The children were raised by their father in a saltwater lake near his home until they grew old enough to leave and return to the ocean. These four children, are said to be where our two species come from...

The world returned to normal, "Or, so the story goes." Kala smirked and Gefren smiled. "I have some talents I 'spose."

"See, Vale, she can do magical things! That is also why we believe she is the reincarnation of our beloved goddess! Isn't it cool?" The young merboy smiled broadly, his legs tensing and untensing in his excitement.

You like my story? :) I made it up too! ^.^

Your story was so creative! How do you come up with that stuff?

Vale looked over the symbols briefly before tucking the paper into his sachel, which he had retrieved. He would look over and memorize them later, when he could focus more. Studying had taken his mind off of his anger, but as they finished, he felt it rushing back. He didn't want to go visit Kala, even though he knew he had to. Sometimes Vale hated the roles he played in life.

He listened to the conversation conspire between Kala and Gefren, uninterested. So she couldn't leave. Boo-hoo. At least she was home, where she could feel safe and was adored. Besides, apparently she couldn't leave, anyway, or no one would have made such a big deal of it before.

Rather than sitting across from her as he had the day before, Vale pressed his back against the wall next to the door, crossing his arms. He didn't want to hear a story, he didn't want to be here, and he had things to do. Language wasn't the only thing he'd been assigned. He had to find a book of laws to study, and probably a book on the history and culture of these two-legged merpeople. He would be studying for a while yet to come, if this war was anything like the last recorded war (which had ended some centuries ago). He hoped it wouldn't take long for a terms to be agreed upon and a treaty to be signed, but either way, he had given his word.

As the room disappeared and became a mirage of the story, Vale turned around and rapidly moved away from the wall. Fortunately, he didn't bump into anything, but he was mesmerized by the sight. When it ended, he did sit on the sofa, his tail folded under him. Or it was supposed to be.

When he looked down, Vale was shocked to find that he couldn't see himself. Something about Kala's magic must have brought out his own...

Thankyou thankyou, I know, I'm brilliant! :P I have my moments anyway! ^.^

Kala didn't look suprised, but Gefren was flipping out, "Wha- what!? Vale! Hey you know-"

Kala shushed him, "When you grabbed me before, your hand disappeared, I wondered what this would do to you..." She could not see him with her eyes, but she could sense him clearly with her mind. She reached out and touched his collar bone, "Don't worry, we wont tell." Light came from her hand and formed ribbons, wrapping gently around his body, they were just light, nothing harmful. She let go quickly once her own hand had disappeared. As soon as she let go her hand returned to normal and the lights died away. She shook her hand, examining it, "Did you see that? My hand disappeared too!" She turned to Vale, "My abilites are unknown to everyone, even myself, I've accidently cured horrible sicknesses before, as well as sucked the life right out of people, but it's always when I touch their neck and collarbone areas. I don't know exactly what happened though... It felt so strange when I touched you..." She leaned back in thought.

Gefren looked at both of them, "We have to go read the archives, maybe your a reincarnation of something magical too, Vale!"

He wasn't quite in shock, but something akin to it. He stared at Kala's hand in wonder. Has she adopted his power, or had he shared his with her? If she had his power, what would her power do to him?

In a flash of brilliant light, similar to the small ribbons that Kala had just wrapped around him, only a larger scale, Vale became visible again.

Him a god? Vale didn't think so, but if Kala were an incarnation, it was possible that Vale was also.

"Kala... What's the story of your original self?" Perhaps they could find something. "I want to know - then we can go to the archives, Gefren."

Vale stared at his hand in wonder. It was all so strange, but not really. It didn't come as a huge surprise, but was still unexpected in some ways. A god? Vale wouldn't jump right to that conclusion, but something... magically superior than normal merpeople. He had always been different in appearance, but this simply took the cake.

"Maybe Gefren was right. Maybe we are related somehow, if not by blood. There's got to be an explanation."

You can make another story, then, if you want to do something with Vale's power or whatever. It would be cool if they were both gods reincarnated, and word got out. (Gefren is young - he might let it slip on accident. :P)

Kala smirked when he asked what the story of her original self was. She nodded, moving her hands again to make lights fly through the air, "The Great Mother, saddened by the loss of her precious child- the merwoman- then asked her sister, Kayaneseque, to help these poor creatures. Having two sons of the one-tails and two daughters of the two-footed seapeople, the species would end, and, truth be told, the Great Mother had grown attached to her strange mishaps; as most mothers do." Their world changed once more as the story took more affect.

Kayaneseque was a goddess of great life, and could not bear her sister's sorrow. She came from the heavens and went to the four merpeople. She told them to swim the oceans and find her seven feathers of the legendary bird that lived underwater. They all cried to her, pleading for a possible task, for everyone knew the creature was a myth. She simply shook her head and told them those feathers were the only things that would be able to make more of their kinds so their species could thrive, then left.

She returned every year, but each year, the merpeople would shake their heads and she would leave them again. After over two hundred years of searching, the eldest one-tailed merman came forth. 'We have searched everywhere at least eight times over, we have seen nothing. I am too old now, even if I were to find the beast I could not swim fast enough to catch it, my bones are old as I am... Please, oh great goddess, help us.'

The two sisters came forward, 'We too have spent our lives in search, we are slow and weak, we cannot hear or see well anymore. Even if the creature were right in front of us, I doubt we would be able to even know it...'

Then the younger son came forward, 'I have lost an arm and an eye in search, my hair is duller than the sand, and I can barely breath anymore. It takes me five times as long just to get from place to place. Please, goddess, there is nothing left of us, help us!'

The goddess looked at the worn faces of the merpeople, the great mother also begging with her children. The goddess smiled, then replied to them, 'You have searched loyaly, I will choose the form of your kind and live with you always, whenever you truly need me.' Her body swirled with color, then she fell into the water beside them. She had antannae, two tails, two legs, and golden eyes along with beautiful wings of swan feathers. She reached out and touched the four merpeople on the forehead, then swam as fast as she could out of the ocean and into the sky. Moments later, rain fell, and with every drop of rain, a merperson was born. Those of her tails became the single-tailed, those of her legs became more two-leggeds. The rest of her body became magnificent sea creatures; from sharks, to eels, to clownfish, filling the ocean with color.

She was never seen again, and the people of both sides cried for her, waiting for the day when they would see her again.

Kala smiled, "That's the basic storyline of the story anyway. The whole thing is very long and complicated. I only memorized the basic story, I read a little on the rest of it, but only a little. The archives will hold a fantastic history." The world had returned to its regular beauty again.

Gefren bowed politely, "Thanks for the story Kala! I can take you to the archives, Vale, follow me!" He zipped out of the tower, once Vale was following him, and into a huge library of books. He swam to a large wall and moved it to open into an even larger secret room, entirely underground. Half the books were made of stone, the other half of regular kelps and such. He swam to the stones and pointed to the back, "Those ones are all on the gods. If we start there, we'll be able to find something. Kayaneseque's books are fairly easy to find since we need them sometimes, so they should be right on top. They are just very long and being made of thin pieces of stone and very long, they are fragile and heavy- even in water. So, while in here, please be very careful." He swam to the books and began searching.

Not as good as my first story, but I still think it was pretty good, dontchya think? :)

I thought it was excellent! You must have an insane imagination.

When Kala had finished, Vale nodded his head. He had never had time to memorize any stories such as those of gods and goddesses. Now he wished he would have made time. 'Thank you, lady," he said as Gefren showed the way to the archives.

Inside, Vale looked around, feeling a pit form inside of him. He could spend the rest of his life reading and still never know what he wanted to. However, if he were some kind of god reincarnated, then it probably wouldn't have much to do with Kayaneseque, and it would be a male god.

"I don't think it would have much to do with Kayanesque, but if you could find something about someone related to her, that might be helpful." Vale decided to start in a bottom corner, where the books looked oldest. Very carefully, he pulled a large stone book from the shelf and carried it to a table, where it set it down gently. Examining the cover, he could tell little about the book: most of the writing had worn away. Books were something that had to be kept up with constantly, and if one fell behind, then the pages would be ruined.

This in mind, Vale slowly opened the book. Immediately, he could smell the book's age, and it gave him a hopeful feeling, somewhat filling the pit that had emerged minutes before.

----

He couldn't say how much time had passed. He was half-asleep before he found anything, and had to reread several times before he was sure he had read the story correctly.

Aodhán, son of Father Moon and Mother Sun, older brother of the stars, was composed only of light. He lived among the stars, among the creatures, among eveything and everyone, always wanting and wishing that he could walk, talk, and live. Countless centuries he spent, watching in loneliness. However, everyone was jealous of Aodhán.

'How,' they demanded, 'can you want for more when you possess such beauty?' For it was true: Aodhán was the most beautiful of all. His girth ran all colors, from the deepest burgundy to the lightest gray. Thinking he didn't deserve to keep the colors all to himself, they took his deepest red. However, after a year, they grew tired of only one shade, and returned to take a different shade. Each year, they returned and stole one of Aodhán's colors, until he remained only gold and violet.

After this, Aodhán met with his mother for the third time since his birth. Mother Sun was appalled to see what had happened to her eldest son. 'My son!' she exclaimed. 'What has happened to your colors?'

'They were taken,' Aodhán replied. His mother then pointed him to the Great Mother. 'Great Mother,' he asked. 'Won't you make me into something that cannot be stolen away?' The Great Mother pitied Aodhán and had mercy on him. She let him choose whatever he wanted to be in the world. Aodhán thought long and hard about his choice, but he had watched all those centuries and knew exactly what he wanted to be.

'Make me one of your special creations, for they never stole my colors.' Their fins had not let them reach Aodhán, so they had not taken his beauty away from him. So the Great Mother made Aodhán into a merman just as handsome as the first she had ever made. However, the only colors she could make his long, long tail were violet and gold, with golden hair and golden eyes.

'You will not be immortal in this form,' the Great Mother explained to Aodhán as he learned to cope with his new form. 'But for your suffering, you may have a gift...'

The passage ended there, where a piece of the page was missing, the stone having corroded away with the book's neglect. Still, it was enough for Vale.

"Gefren, I think I found something!" Vale scooped the book up and did several flips in excitement before placing it carefully in front of the younger prince. He pondered what the gift might have been as the Gefren read. Perhaps the ability to control light, which would explain why he could turn invisible, and also how he had shared the light from Kala's magic earlier. But maybe that wasn't the gift? If Vale was actually Aodhán, then he was light (or his original had been), meaning he could already control light before being given the gift. So the gift must have been the promise to keep returning. Reincarnation. He wouldn't have had any children, being the odd one out for partners (merpeople had partners for life).

Vale did several more flips, becoming a blurry circle of golden and violet scales and aqua (once golden) hair. "Do you think it's right, Gefren? Could it be true?"

There was my feeble attempt at a story. Mine is more Native American sounding than anything, if you ask me. Not that that's a bad thing, but it sounds like an Indian story. :P

Lol, yeah it does. Mine do a little too I think... Idk- but it was good :)

Gefren smiled as he skimmed the pages, obviously having already known about the god enough and his story. He closed the book gently, "That's not necessarily a good thing... At least not here... I thought that too, but he has a great deal to do with Kayanesque, actually." He set down the book he had been reading prior to Vale having interrupted him.

Aodhán, for years, watched the world, moving at a snail's pace. All there was to see was a couple shrubs and a squirrel occassionally. He could take it no longer and begged his mother and father to help him. He was so beautiful, but no one could appreciate it, you see, he was vain, he needed someone below to croon to him and stare at him in awe. The gods and goddesses were already beautiful, they need not look at him!

His parents, feeling pity for their son, asked the great mother to put color onto the world so their son would not be so lonely. The great mother knew he was vain, but all the gods and goddesses had their flaw or two, and so she agreed to help. She asked her sister to place more life on Earth to comfort Aodhán. Kayanesque was not like the great mother, she was not merciful to others, but she went to him anyway. When he first saw her, Aodhán could not take his eyes away from her beauty. Aodhán was very intelligent too, and so he thought of a plan to see the goddess again. He knew she was stubborn and callous to those not close to her, she was very close-minded in general, but she was so beautiful, he needed to see her again. Once every three to six months he was able to see her.

Soon, Aodhán ran out of ideas, for there was nothing else except to solve the actual problem he had first brought to their attention. Kayanesque came again, as usual. Aodhán looked at her sadly, 'I must be very foolish, you are so beautiful, I continued to call you back to me... But now-' The goddess touched his lips gently and smiled at him; assuring him that she loved him too. That night the lights exploded in the most dazzling of colors, and from their love all the creatures of the sky were birthed.

From then on they met in secret, in the North where no gods or goddesses dwelled, filling the sky with the Northern Lights. One day, Kayanesque announced she was pregnant. Aodhán was excited, but wary. Soon all the gods and goddesses would know of their affair. And they did find out, the great mother was easily jelous, and she placed a curse on Kayanesque's child, 'Your child will cause great harm to the earth, and be cursed with the bitter taste of mortality.'

Kayanesque cried to Aodhán for their child, the other gods and goddesses were too mixed in opinion to change anything, and so nothing changed. After many months, the child was born. The beast was ugly and pink and could only survive on the land of earth. Aodhán gave the strange beast knowledge as his gift, and Kayanesque took some of her own life to make a big enough population of the creatures, so they would survive. She then disappeared for many years, even Aodhán could not find her or bring her back in her grief for her cursed child and his species...

For years, no one heard of the goddess, Aodhán had given up hope, not even fighting the greedy humans their love had created, as they took his colors. Then, the great mother, in her jelousy tried to make one herself. Instead, she created a strange fish person. Then, the great mother called upon her sister, Kayanesque, to help her and her strange children. Kayanesque came, still in grief of her horrible creations... She felt pity on her sister, regardless of what the great mother had done to Kayanesque's child, and helped her. Kayanesque finally had to give her own life for the creatures, and when Aodhán heard of this, he asked the great mother to help him end his life. She agreed, solemly, and apologized for what she had done. She then warned Aodhán of his mortal form, but, being a god, would rebirth. Aodhán thanked her, and he jumped into the water as soon as he had changed. The great mother stopped him again, 'Wait,' she said. 'For all I have done, please except my gift to you.'

She so gifted Aodhán to rebirth whenever his lover would, reassuring him that they would not meet again in this life, but for every one to come after this.

That story should be in the archives of brilliance. If Obdurate had one, I'd place it there.

As fast as his eyes could move, Vale absorbed the story, only to be shocked when he had finished reading. He and Kala were... lovers? No, their originals were lovers. Vale and Kala - he couldn't even imagine! that couldn't be right.

His wandering mind finally came back to him. "Why is that a bad thing?" And also, why didn't anyone realize who he was if he was that important to the reincarnated goddess that they treasured so much? Surely this story - the creation of the vile and despicable land-going man - was no secret. Did that have something to do with why he was so detested here, or was that only because of the war?

Vale didn't know what to feel about this strange turn of events. It was fascinating, horrifying, and exciting, all at the same time.

Sorry that was so short. I lost my mojo for a sec.

Again- thankyou thankyou! I even suprised myself on that last one though! :D

Gefren shook his head, "Well... Aodhán is blamed for her death. I don't believe it, but the extremists believe he seduced her and that is why she fell in love with him, starting the whole fall that led to her death. Others of your kind have come here, and they have no been treated so badly. Truthfully, even I wanted you to meet her, to see for myself. We also have a tablet, but so much of it is eroded we cannot completely decifer it..." He grabbed Vale's wrist and swam from the archives to a large room, filled with things of old. He went to the center where a large stone, that went to the ceiling, sat.

He let go of Vale and swam up until he found what he was looking for. The whole thing was obviously in their language, so he could read it- slowly. "It talks, loosely, about Aodhán and his planning- good and bad. Then here, it talks about his love for the goddess. When he finally died, he swore he would not rest until they were together again. People will not like you as his reincarnation, the upper class will accept it in good knowledge and respect you- they know better. However, the lower and middle classes will shun you and hate you even more. If we tell anyone, we should tell my father and have him decide whom else should know. He is wise, he will know and understand." Gefren swam back down to Vale, "But you should practice your abilities first. Aodhán had a multitude of abilities he kept after becoming mortal- very weak, yes, but they will be even more proof and maybe will help you."

He swam around the museum and stopped at a crystalized rose with all the colors of the rainbow. "It's said this rose was the gift Aodhán gave Kayanesque when he confessed his love to her. It never wilted until he died, so our people preserved it. He even banded it with some of his colors to show how much he loved her. I don't really like romance all that much, but their story is beautiful- I think. My sister is crazy about these stories, she'd be able to tell you everything about the great mother, Aodhán, Kayanesque, the first merwoman, the first human; all that stuff." The rose shimmered with life, "Lately, the rose has grown even more beautiful, I suppose because you are here..." He smiled and turned to Vale, "I've never heard of a one tailed and a two-legged mating before. She doesn't seem to like you all that much though... You'd think it'd be instant... You gonna go tell her to have babies with you then?" He smirked and swam around childishly, "Just kidding!"

At the mention of King Leon, Vale instinctively stiffened. The King certainly didn't like him much, and to hear that Valerian was, in theory, the lover of his people's beloved idol would not much please him. In fact, one wrong move and Vale would certainly be dead before anything.

"I don't think we should tell anyone just yet. I never even meant for you and Kala to see, but I can't control it. It doesn't even feel any different when it happens. And it's the only thing I've discovered yet," Vale admitted.

"You gonna go tell her to have babies with you then?"

Vale blushed furiously until he saw the smirk on Gefren's face. If that kid weren't careful, Vale would smack him with his tail, and it was a lot more powerful than any one foot that Gefren was used to.

"I doubt that that would go over well with Miss High and Mighty anyway. Maybe you should go demand that she have your children. Prince is only two steps down from a god, after all." Vale, despite all his renoun as a diplomat, had forgotten not only who he was talking to, but who he was talking about. He had just revealed his dislike for the goddess that this kingdom treasured more than anything or anyone.

Sighing, Vale put a hand to his temple. "I didn't mean it like that. It just seems like she really dislikes me." In an attempt to change the subject, Vale quickly asked, "Does Kala know this story?" surely she did, if Gefren did. It seemed like the two were close, and Kala would certainly know everything about herself, right? Well, Vale hadn't, so he supposed it was possible that Kala wouldn't know, though he doubted it...

Gefren smirked, "Eww, she's old. Besides, I HAVE a girlfriend, just so you know! Kala knows of the story, but she would never say anything. We should tell my father, I know he does not like you, but he will understand, he can help! You know... That means you have to stay here with us... He is still respected as a god, we should tell everyone!"

"You have to go spend time with her then!" Gefren mushed Vale back to the tower, "You should practice your godness, Vale!" He pushed Vale through the doors.

Kala looked at them, "Did you find what you were looking for?"

Sorry, I didn't have too much spark or much to work with... >.> <.<

Yeah, sorry. I'm not feeling very motivated lately. This will probably fail. I woke up at nine thirty a.m. yesterday, and I still haven't slept, so I'm practically a zombie right now.

"Gefren has a girlfriend! Gefren has a girlfriend!" Vale teased the smaller prince, swimming cirlces around him. "I bet she's some beautiful princess, huh?" Of course, he was only getting back at Gefren for his prior teasing.

Before he knew what had happened, he was being pushed back into Kala's tower. For some reason, seeing her now made him blush, knowing what they had once been.

"Yeah, we did. Did you... um... have a nice evening?" Vale asked, settling across from Kala on the sofa. He found it much easier to sit on his tale than to drap it over the side. Keeping it pinned beneath him was his best choice.

Fail. But, seriously, I'm ready to fall over. Sorry.

"Yes indeed, swimming in smalls circles all day is forever fun!" She sighed sarcastically.

Gefren swam and sat next to Kala, "We found the whole lover story!"

Kala looked at Gefren, "If only life were so easy... Though it's a nice story- I doubt that. It's all symbolism! We have no better way to explain the beginning of life, so we made gods and goddesses. Besides, even if it was, it doesn't matter- we are the two most incompatible creatures you could find!"

Gefren smirked, "Vale made fun of my girlfriend too."

Kala looked at Vale, "Really? Well I don't see any women lined on your arms, so you're one to talk! Tomorrow you should meet her. So then, have you told anyone of your god buisness?"

"Not yet, Vale wants to hold off for a while..." Gefren then swam around the room, "I asked him if you two were gonna make babies!"

Kala rolled her eyes, "Don't ruin a good romance fantasy. If you haven't noticed, I do not believe in any of this at all," She turned to Vale, "Regardless, our abnormalities are intriguing. Well, you have work to do, and for the next month I will be very busy. Your little words may take all the others away, but you hold no trance over me. I doubt you want to rott with me, anyways."

"You both know now, something romantic and magical is suppose to happen!" Gefren snorted.

"If you turn invisible again, come find me, maybe something more interesting happens!" She smiled lightly.
