ooc: oh that's cool! I decided that Alaia's ring and necklace are a part of her identity...She is destined to become a alpha female of a certain pack where the DNA that the scientists used to make her was from the one wolf.. Her parents don't know this bic: Alaia walked up stairs. The ring and necklace seemed to have an importance. A part of her. Part of her identity. She felt weird..Like she was meant for so much more...She wasn't hungry and she yelled down the stairs that she wanted to take a nap and wasn't hungry. Sighing, she laid down, taking of her hat and bandanna, letting her ears relax. She let her tail come out and rest on the bed. Her head rested on the pillow and her eyes slowly closed. Her dreams were strange. First one was wolves running..She knew these wolves, she ran with them sometimes. They were like family, though she wasn't sure why. But as the view sped to the front of the pack..There she was, running in the place where the alpha female ran...Weird..She was older but she was there..It disappeared then there was Terry! This was getting weirder...Later that night, she awoke and she was in wolf form...Turning back, she realized she was sweating.. |

Terry slid the sword back inside the scabbard and like a parched plant, was thirsty for more. He knew what had happened 15 years ago, but yearned to know more. Sophia Carmichael said, “You came into our lives all those years ago. We have kept much from you and we are sorry. Given the circumstances, we didn’t think you were ready and that we would tell you when you became an adult, but we decided to move ahead of schedule.” I said, “The weather?” The Professor said, “It may look like freaky weather, but freaky weather it is not.” His mother said, “15 years ago, your father and I went to the observatory. As you know it’s in the middle of nowhere and the roads can get lonely. On the way back home, the weather was just like this. There was a brilliant flash of light and we nearly ran over this teenage boy with wings carrying a baby.” I gulped, “Me?” Both of them nodded. His father said, “He was wounded severely.” His mother, “It broke my heart to see him like that, but he bore such courage. We didn’t hesitate to get him inside our vehicle. He was afraid of us at first because he didn’t understand us, but your father managed to communicate with him.” Terry said, “Which is why you taught me Greek.” The man said, “The language wasn’t Greek, but similar. Think of like Spanish and French and I only barely was able to converse with him. I held you for him while he spoke. He said that there was a battle and he was the son of the Captain of the Guard. He had never fought before for real, had only trained. He had been summoned by their king and was led into the family chamber. Many were being slain and there wasn’t much time. He was given a special task and he accepted it without question. He was given a baby, told to flee, and not look back. Most of his conversation after was confusing. He was using words and terms I couldn’t decipher. He said something about a door and that they used it to travel to the world below to visit the forest people as he called them who lived nearby. He said that he was told that there was a special door that the others didn’t know about. Only the royal family knew about this one. Their first father had flown too close to the sun and his wings had melted, but before he fell to his doom, he found himself somewhere else and his wings had reappeared, but they were real.” His mother said, “The first father is Icarus from mythology and this baby had the blood of Arcadia’s line in him. He said that he destroyed the door he came through so no one would follow. We took them home with us. We would have taken him to a hospital, but where could we go with a boy such as this. Plus he didn’t want us to help him because he said that he knew he was dying. He didn’t say much about what had happened and he didn’t even give his name. He said only that the forest people were not at fault, they couldn’t have committed this barbarity. To him all that mattered was the baby’s safety. You might not have understood our reasons for keeping information from you, but considering what this young man went through, I hope you can finally forgive us, our winged prince.” Terry soul was stunned. He was a prince. At first he wanted to deny it but it started to make sense. As his father left, his mother continued, “When his time came to an end, his wings fell off and we mourned him as if he was our own. There were questions about where this young man and baby had come from, but thankfully your father’s name intervened and we were left in peace. We buried in the family plot and raised the baby as our own.” His father came back and had another box with him, “I went to a colleague of mine and had this restored to what I believed was the way it was supposed to look. I think these will fit.” Terry opened the box and saw strange clothes. Dr Carmichael said, “This is the same outfit that the young man wore.” Terry went to his room and put on the clothes. It was similar to clothing worn by Greek soldiers centuries ago. As he gazed into the mirror, he sprouted his wings. So this is my heritage? He went back to the study and sat down. He asked, “You believe that my past is catching up to me, don’t you?” (ooc: and thus ends the second half) |

ooc: That is soo cool! bic: Alaia sighed and wondered what her dreams meant...They seemed so real..and Terry, he looked different in the dream..Almost princely..She walked out of her room and to her parents room door. "Mom, Dad..I need to run...please..." She said. "All right..Just come back in the morning, before school..ok? I know its raining but you can handle it, right?" Her father said "Yes..I can..All right, see you tomorrow.." She walked downstairs..Her parents always let her run when she needed to..Putting on her hat and bandanna, she walked outside. Her body getting soaked. Smiling, she walked along the street. ooc: Hey, maybe she can walk past Terry's house and not realize it..and they see her? Maybe? |

(ooc: Raining? Where? Anyhow...) The study became silent for a long minute. The Professor and his wife looked at each other. Finally he said, "Son, I wish I could allay your concerns and say that there is no cause for alarm. Due to the circumstances that brough you here, there is sufficient reason to be alarmed. However, I can not give yo the answer you desire. I have given you all the information I know about your past as I know it. Only time can fill in the rest." Terry nodded and tried handing the sword back to his adopted father, but the old man shook his head, "It is yours. I can't take it back. Keep it in your room as well as your clothes. It's late now. Time to sleep." Terry walked out of the study and back to his room while his parents quickly went to bed. He took the sword back out and looked at it again. Then he looked at the window. He opened his window and flew to the roof. The area he landed at was facing the back yard and was flat enough for him to safely move on. The clouds let up finally, showering him in the moonlight. In it, he moved gracefuly, practicing with his sword. This is mine, better start practicing to use it. |

ooc: oh I though it was raining..Hmm well..I'll just pretend I never said that it was... bic: Alaia walked along. When no one was around she sang. Her voice was beautiful. But even her parents had never heard her sing, the only person who had was her sister, who never told a single person. Alaia sang a song that she had made up. Wasn't very good in her mind, but she still sang it. "I'm here all alone. No one can see my true identity, I hide it below the top layer of myself. I run, run, run, though I never want to stop. Eventually, I stop and cry. For the sadness of my life is nearly complete. My friends are a secret, I can tell no one. If anyone found out, I would be hurt. I run, run, run, though I never want to stop. But maybe someone will come and sweep me off my feet. I'll show that one person my true self. But that day happened, today. And now I'm confused by a dream I had. Though I don't know what it means. That person was there. And so was I. What does it mean?" She added the last few lines as they came to her mind. Quieter "What do they mean?" She heard something. |

Terry's ears picked up singing. He pondered where it was coming from, yet his concenration did not break, only strengthened it. He held his sword in his right hand and moved it along with his arm as if it was an extension of himself. He found it surprisingly light, but it appeared to be made of strong metal unlike any he had heard of. |

bic: Alaia sighed and shook her head. She began to jog, a smile spreading across her face. She knew that if she stayed in the shadows, she could not be seen. No one ever cared if she howled for most people had never heard a wolf howl, since most people never ventured in the woods. Most took it for a dogs howl.. Smiling, she snuck into the shadows and changed into her true form. Now a wolf, she shook her fur, shivering in excitement. She let loose a howl, long and strong. Her wolf eyes sparkled with happiness. She walked along slowly in the shadows, keeping her ears and eyes watching the area. No one was near, except..One person..Looking around, she couldn't see anyone. Then for some reason, she looked at the roof tops and there in the distance was a person with a sword? Weird..Her wolf eyes were sharp and could see far, the only reason she could see the person. She cocked her head and then turned and walked a little away and turned again, looking back to the person on the roof, wondering who it was.. |

Terry had never told anyone at school about the fencing lessons, that he was being trained in the ways of the sword. Most people engage in traditional extracirricular activites. In fact, he thought he would have attended Frazer Prep just like Dr. Carmichael. They had a fencing team and his father was on the team when he attended. Terry wondered why he had gone to Hamilton, but he was grateful because he wouldn't have met Alaia. He slashed horizontally into the air and as he did, his wings flexed. |

bic: Alaia stared hard at the person on the roof..Something grew out of their back..Wings? Her eyes became excited. Terry? She trotted forward slowly..Then began to run towards the house with the person on it..Just to see.. Normally, she would have just walked away but her curiousty was aroused. Alaia wondered. Her dream had started going through her mind again...Shaking her head, she looked up to make sure she was going the right direction. |

(ooc: I thought his wings were already out since he showed his parents his native garb Anyhow...) Terry knew that although he was used to having a sword in his hands, it would take time for him to get used to this sword. He resolved to practice every night if he had to especially if something from his past was coming back to haunt him. He got his wish after all these years, to know more about himself. I wonder how I'm going to tell Alaia about this? |

ooc: Oh, she didn't see them at first. bic: Alaia came to the house and stayed in shadows, studying the person. It was a man that was for sure. It had to be Terry. She shook her head and her earrings made a tingling sound as did her now ever present necklace. She looked around at the surrounding buildings..Anything to jump on to get her on the roof? Hmm..none that she could see..Turning back into a human, she stood and looked down at her hand. The ring was still there..She walked forward out of the shadows, silently, always looking at the person on the roof. As she got closer, she saw that her guess was right it was Terry! She smiled. |

(ooc: I'm not sure if Terry can see Alaia at this point.) Terry stopped in mid-slash. There is someone here, someone below. An intruder. Looks like my past is already here. Earlier than I expected, but I must meet this challenge. He took to he air and dove to attack, but stopped in mid flight once he found out who the intruder was. His wings flapped enough to keep him in place. He put the sword back in its scabbard and said, "It's you Alaia. What brings you here? I don't think I even told you where I live." He descended to the ground and approached her as his wings assumed their natural position. "Nevertheless, you are welcome here." He wondered if she would ask about his appearance, but at least he finally had an answer for her. |

ooc: all righty, oh and is it ok if she can talk to humans even if when she is a wolf? bic: Alaia jumped to the side, quickly as Terry dove towards her to attack. He must not have seen her clearly. When he realized who it was, she smiled. "I was restless and needed to run." Her eyes twinkled for she knew that he knew what she meant. "I was out here when I saw you from over there. I came to investigate." She pointed where she had come from but into the distance. Alaia studied his clothes and sword. He looked nice in whatever he was wearing. It looked old and historic. She smiled slightly. |

(ooc: it's your character. You can decide if she can talk to humans in wolf form or only beings like Terry. I have no problem.) Terry nodded and said, "I see. Sorry for nearly taking off your head. It's been quite an evening." He sighed and looked at the stars "I got my wish to know more about my past, but from what I learned I have to be careful. There might be people after me or something like that." Then a thought entered his mind. The young soldier said something about forest people. He didn't know who or what they were, but could Alaia be one of them? Alaia find out about his secret and him finding about hers could just be a coincidence, right? What if it wasn't though? What if she's the enemy? I just don't know. "I'd like to tell you what I learned, if you'd like." |

ooc: All right! Hmm...I'd like her to be able to talk to just people like Terry when she's a wolf...That ought to work out well.... bic: Alaia smiled "It's all right.." Reaching up to her neck she touched her necklace and then her ring. "I learned something too..but it wasn't clear..." She nodded. Then she heard a wolf howl on the wind, turning her head, she listened.. It was the alpha of the pack she ran with. They had heard her howl and had urgent news. She sighed, rolled her eyes at the distance. Turning back to Terry, she said "I'd love to..but...Hear that howl? Thats another wolf that needs to talk to me, an important wolf..If you wanted...We could take a walk and talk?" She shrugged. |
