((I forgot the leopardess's name.)) Before he made his decision, as always, Eirian quickly thought through his options. Sure, he'd inherited his parents' sharp instincts, and he already knew what he was going to do, desperate as he was, but he still needed to think, because that was just the way he was. It really came down to a matter of need, rather than trust. Did he trust this leopardess? He couldn't say for sure, but he knew that he wanted to. He wanted to believe her and wanted her help. But that didn't matter, because he needed her, her knowledge and her sharp senses. They stood a much better chance of finding Leo if they went in together, rather than Eirian, skittish as he was, going in alone. "Very well," he finally said, though he'd made his decision much sooner. He too shifted one hand, and shook hers. Once the deal had been made, he didn't bother changing his hand back, but rather, shifted his weight back so that he could, in a manner, sit on his haunches. He brought his clawed paw up to his back of his forearm, and very shallowly dragged his nails across the skin there. If Talia or Leo had done this, they wouldn't have blinked, but Eirian was not so used to physical pain. Still, the only sign of discomfort was the small hiss that left him as the claws pierced his skin. "Your leg." As precisely as he could, Eirian let the blood flow over his arm and onto the wound. Amazingly, it began to heal right before his eyes, the skin pulling together, the swelling subsiding, the infection leaving. "It would seem that the blood is potent enough." Which he wouldn't have to slobber on her leg as well. "Are you ready?" he asked after a moment. He knew that he would never be ready, but it was now or never. |

((Cuz he hasn't asked/she hasnt given it yet :P)) She stretched her leg experimentally, "Thank you." With that done she walked to the entrance, "I hope knowledge is worth your lives. Though, I suppose I will find answers here, too?" She stepped into the darkness, making sure Eirian was following. Her ears were twitching all around as she listened to everything. It was dead silent once they entered besides the sounds of their pawsteps. She growled at the smells- even to her nose the stench of blood and death made her stomach churn. She let out a surprised growl when the floor became sticky beneath a paw. She stepped back, wiping the stale mixture of blood and goop off her paw. She looked back as a dark fog moved in behind them, smothering all the light and the entrance. For a moment everything was pitch-black, then her white fur began to glow, lighting up symbols on the floor and through the blood on the walls and the ceiling all the way down the long corridor ahead, but the fog stayed behind them, smothering the light of the outside and the exit. The path quickly split into a multitude of paths, but the leopardess read the walls quickly in her fluency then lead the way to the leftmost path. "There is your knowledge you want. It's a document of everything my people ever learned," She then stopped, a solid wall of blackness barring any further travel. She stuck a paw in experimentally, but it was not to block them, but to keep the light on the other side from traveling into the dark caverns and lead wanderers strait there. They were able to easily walk into the well-lit area. The walls glowed, lighting the long hallway quite a ways into the mountain. She turned to Eirian, "There is much life down this way. Most of it wants to eat us, so keep on alert... Don't look back, we will have to find a different way out, we are trapped in going forward from here on out..." The darkness they had walked through to get into this hallway had become a solid wall of stone, no evidence of an entrance on the solid wall. Puddles were numerous wherever they walked, and remains of armor and weapons, but no bones were even left of the poor victims. The leopardess sniffed at some of the puddles before hissing. It was below freezing in the cave, yet this blood was just congealing after what was perhaps centuries of being here. |
