In Whatever it Takes each person will pick an Archetype which will determine the abilities and talents of their character. As the RP progresses, they grow further into their archetypes, expanding what they can do and what they have access to. Only one person can be each Archytype. Commander: Summary: The commander, besides dictating to those under his/her command, has the, though not unique, potential to read the battlefield and predict enemy's moves--especially when they have been encountered previously. However, while most officers would have to train this ability, the commander archetype has natural knack for it. As such, he/she, given enough experience, can exceed the capabilities of all who preceded. In general, the commander remains behind the lines, watching the battle from afar, dictating to his troops orders, and planning out strategies for victory. Combat Participation: Battle Map and Command Starting Ability: Prediction Progression: Watcher: ????? Planner: ????? Tactician: ????? Psychic: ????? Magician: ????? ~~~~~ Engineer: Summary: The engineer exceeds all other technicians in the basic areas of making, maintaining, and modifying machinery; additionally, they can invent practically anything so long as they have the resource and reverse enginner any foreign tech so long as they the time. Furthermore, given their talents, the engineer archetype will be entrusted with not only equipping the average soldier but also supporting them with long-range weaponry. As the battle calls for it, he/she can make on-the-fly adjustments to maximize efficiency and survivability. Combat Participation: Battle Map and Artillery Starting Ability: Machinist Progression: Tinker: ????? Replicator: ????? Manipulator: ????? Creator: ????? Subjugator: ????? ~~~~~ Hero: Summary: The hero possess the otherworldly ability to summon weapons, and it is wholly unique to the hero. Somehow, the hero has sixth sense via a connection these weapons, enabling him/her to detect the surroundings without touching, hearing, or seeing. For this reason, the hero fights exceedingly well--to the point where he can outperform the combined efforts of several soldiers. Combat Participation: Frontlines and Feats Starting Ability: Conjure Progression: Soldier: ????? Warrior: ????? Champion: ????? Legend: ????? Myth: ????? ~~~~~ Gifted: Summary: The gifted can be accused of reading minds; though it's not true, he/she is so able to read expression and tones that it may as well be. Even words aren't spoken, the gifted can infer what another wants to say with a simple look into their eyes. Conversely, the gifted archetype can communicate on a different level, reaching into the deepest recesses of another's mind and heart. It is unclear if this is a supernatural ability, or if the gifted simply has amazing talent. Combat Participation: Frontlines and ????? Starting Ability: Empathy Progression: Student: ?????
