Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Not a lot of chatter so I figured I'd put something up I this side.

Purdue is in a really good spot for Jaren Jackson, Nojel Eastern and Xavier Tillman. If they land those 3, that's a great start. In on some other top 100-150 big guys too.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I've seen Jackson play live once. More of a Stretch 4 type (at least he was in that game). He'd be a good fit there. Similar Purdue comp IMO: JaJuan Johnson. Has the ability to be that type of player.

He reminds me a little of Noah Vonleh actually.

Another good comp, also. He'll be a high impact College player, IMO.

Jaren Jackson set to announce tomorrow. I'd say it's a complete toss up between Purdue and Maryland. He would be a huge get for Purdue as they have put in about as much time as one could recruiting the kid.

Late MSU buzz for Jackson, similar to the first Swanigan commitment. Interesting stuff, guys on 247 have changed their predictions all day today between the three schools.

Yeah, is it too early to hope for the death penalty for their program

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

Absolutely the biggest thorn in our side. Both on the court and in recruiting. Being the premier program of the conference, you kind of expect to not get the better of them too often but the recruiting misses have been rough. Losing Dawson, Harris and now Jackson are killers, especially given the advantages Purdue had.

Once the games start this year, things will be better.

It was nice that their thug who now plays for Golden State didn't get another ring.

Michigan State didn't take all of our top targets.

Nojel Eastern committed to Purdue this afternoon. Playmaker/ball handler on offense and should be a good wing defender. His size pairs well with Carsen Edwards as Edwards is more of an off guard offensively and better suited to guard PGs, and Eastern is more of a PG on offense and better suited to guard wings.

Also the CrystalBall didn't have one Purdue prediction before yesterday.

Really good pickup. High character guy with good skills for his size. It seems obvious Painter is adjusting his targets to get more athleticism and length. Class may turn out pretty good. No 5 stars but that also means more 3 and 4 year guys........which I think is the right way for this coach at this program at this point in time.

I know your distaste for the crystal ball, but the fact that it is noticeable when something like that happens is telling.

Whether you like it or not, it's a feature worth watching. No one is asking for it to be looked at as the 'Bible'.
