We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! I do find it funny that Trump wanted to get credit for 'not going there' on Bill Clinton's affairs..... ....especially when Trump bragged in his books about all of the married women he slept with and affairs he had. |

Trump's campaign manager asked on Fox to give both candidates on a grade on the debate and said she would give them both 'satisfactory'. Even the most ardent people on Fox can't say Trump won. |

He will likely win the next one.....this might have waken him up to the importance of prep....but we'll see. |

I have no doubt that in his mind, he won this one. Therein lies the problem. |

I'm just at a complete loss about the direction he's being given. He walked in to this with everything to gain, and Hillary had everything to lose. Instead of capitalizing on the opportunity, he did nothing but appeal to his own base and isolate undecideds. This could be a fatal mistake in his campaign strategy...one that actually showed some promise recently. |

there were so many opportunities open for him last night also.....I'm not 100% sure he understands the word "implicit bias" but if he did, he could have basically called her out for accusing police of being racist. Regardless of whether or not police show racist bias, he could have said something like "Hillary, you are calling our fine men and women in blue racist.....I've met hundreds of police and they've talked to me about the stressed of their job. These people don't see color.....they don't care about black or white. They run into highly dangerous situations with the intention of protecting us, regardless of our color. Sure, there are always going to be some bias from some people, but the majority of our police are good people, not racist, and quite frankly I'm offended that you would make such a strong and divisive comment about those that protect us" That's just off the cuff.....but none the less there definitely was an opportunity to get a lot of police support with a strong comment there. |

I recorded the debate, and got home after it was over. I switched to CNN, and Van Jones was pretty happy about the result. Van Jones, really? What, did Debbie Wasserman-Schultz need to cancel? Seriously, having a guy like him is even worse than having Karl Rove. It's embarrassing how much water CNN has been carrying for Hillary. It sounds like most agree Hillary won. Let's see how the polls move the next week. The bar for Trump was very low, and it's difficult to access if he exceeded expectations. |

Also got to say that the whole "stop and frisk" thing was really weird. Not exactly a way to try and pull in the minority vote. br |

it says a lot about his New York frame of reference. Stop and frisk would be met with serious serious problems in 95% of the US. |

Donald Trump has been a republican since about 2011. He was getting audited well before that. |

CNN has Corey Lewandowski on their payroll. Meanwhile, at fair and balanced Fox, Sean Hannity openly admits he is advising Trump. But, yeah, CNN is biased, Fox is clean. |

Lewandowski in on their payroll? BFD, I'm talking about the post debate coverage. Fox had Megan Kelly, discussing the election with a Dem and Rep when I was watching soon after it was over. CNN is a joke if you want any balance. Sadly, your only choice is Fox News. Edited by HoosierLars, Sep 27 2016, 09:40 PM.

I do agree that CNN is slanted. Their post debate "focus group" was a joke. But fox takes it to the next level. |

Trump was very angry with Kelly after she moderated a debate. She's pretty tough on everyone. If I was setting up the CNN panel of 8 or 9, I wouldn't have a problem with 5-6 being Democrats, or maybe even seven if there were 2-3 that were more balanced. I would be almost as turned off if Fox News had such an unbalanced panel. Watching an echo chamber of Trump supporters is just as annoying as watching one fawning over Hillary. |
