Purdue missing some open shots, but Louisville is a damn good defensive team. |

Have to think that by the time conference season rolls around, Albrecht is going to find minutes very hard to come by. Carson Edwards is already much better than he is and will only get better and Ryan Cline is bigger than Albrecht, a better shooter, and with Albrecht lack of speed now even greater with his injuries, a better defender. Purdue might not have a backcourt stud, but it's a pretty good four guard rotation. NOt Purdue's night tonight in the slightest, but they'll be fine. Am a little surprised at how much Swanigan has struggled. |

Well, if Purdue is going to be successful and play with good teams, it's supposed front line strength has to show up. Complete no show from Edwards and Haas, and Swanigan didn't do much besides rebound most of the game. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

It's a really bad match up for Haas.....he'll outpound anybody wanting to bang, but that's not how Louisville's bigs play but they are tall and lanky enough to do so. |

You Indiana fans should get a free GBI trial for a month. People are flipping their lids over this loss. |

Jeez, you would have thought that they lost to Fort Wayne, which truly ends your season. College basketball sure isn't for the overreactionary fans. |

I went to the free Purdue board on rivals and looked at the thread titled 'Are you willing to settle for being average?" Man, those posters are Peegs-type of loonie. |

My first season as a paid member. Think I'm going to have to stay out of the game threads. I hate pissed off fans who know nothing about college basketball starting threads about college basketball. Carsen Edwards should play 60 minutes a game lol. |

I like Carsen. But he was 4/15 with 3 TOS and no assists last night. Playing him more wasn't the answer. Haas and Vince have to be better. They have a track record of being better so I'm not too worried. It was also Nov 30th. A lot of basketball left. I like the pieces, especially on offense. |

Carsen will be a stud sooner rather than later but he really hurt us in some crucial moments in the game. Going from memory, we had cut the lead to 6 with just a few minutes left in the first half. He had the ball on a break but had no help, went like 1 on 3 or 4 instead of pulling up. Louisville got a quick one going back and then went on a run to stretch the lead back out to double digits at the half. There were others as well. This kid is going to literally win some games for us this year. He has a skill set that is unique on this team. He will also hurt us at times. It is interesting that he is getting so much time as a freshman, not something Painter is known for. It shows how much Painter loves the guy........and Painter told us from the start that Carsen would play like this. |
