Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Now shooting a robust 44.8% from 3. And the offense/ball movement is generating some great looks. Not sure that number will stay that high in conference play (it did shoot 40% in the losses vs Nova and UL), but I think this will be one of the best shooting teams in the B1G. Not sure anybody can roll out as many shooters as Purdue, especially ones as good as Cline and Mathias.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Jesus, Cam. Thought there was a shooting on campus or something.

44% is by far the best in the BIG so far this season. Next closest team is Northwestern at 40.7% and they are the only other team above 40% in the BIG.

If we expand this discussion outside the BIG, Purdue is 2nd in the nation currently. #1 is UCLA at 45.4%.

Ha, also thought there was a school shooting based on the topic. So glad that wasn't the case...

Those 3pt percentages aren't surprising given the excellent ball movement. Purdue current sits at 4th in the nation for assist percentage (69.7%). Pretty damn good.

The IU/PU matchups should be great this year. I think it'll be a home/home split.

Yes, they've been kind of a switch from previous year's offensive patterns. Haven't handled the ball as well as some of the Purdue teams in the past (turning it over 15 times per game) but have been lights out from three. They are also #4 in the nation in effective field goal percentage.

Turnovers have been a problem for a few years now. Most of them this year are coming from their front line. If they can get that to a normal level, the offense is going to be very good.
