Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Congrats to Biggie. Why has he been back in Ft Wayne so much lately? Saw him at HS Sectional game Friday night and one of my boys saw him at Sport One yesterday afternoon.
Probably just had some free time. They played last Tuesday and this Sunday and don't play again until Friday.
Classes optional this time of the year?
Do you know his class schedule?

He's probably just skipping all his classes. That's how he's become an academic All American.
I know you are kidding, but if he is skipping his classes leading in the spring semester leading up to his getting drafted in the NBA, he's no different than tons of guys who are doing the same. I sure as heck don't think that Troy Williams last year was doing much school work in the spring.
Was Troy Williams an Academic All American? Seems as if Swanigan takes the classroom serious. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

And I have zero idea what Troy Williams was doing his spring semester. Nor do I care.
Forgive me for defending Swanigan if he were skipping classes. How rude of me.

BTW, do you know the nominating qualifications to become an academic all-american? 3.30 and be a starter or important reserve. Swanigan's GPA as a 3.30 in general education/educational studies (which is a non-licensing major).

He's not a Rhodes Scholar by any means but if he's got that 3.30, it means he's at least put time and effort in and has taken it seriously. I doubt he's been skipping classes.

I know when I was in school there were normally times in my schedule where I could go home on a Friday and a Tuesday since it was so close. JK was just being a douche like he normally is towards Purdue so it's whatever. I'm surprised you as the troll police weren't all over him.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

JK's daughter swims for Purdue, so he's probably becoming a closet Purdue bball fan. How's she doing, and what kind of times is she posting? We need all the help we can get to beat that little satellite school down in S Lafayette.
