Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Rim protector......check.
Big motor, great defender. Offense will come.
Sign Hunter and call it a good class. Should know very soon.

Still room for one more. Staff really wants a PG. Missed out on all initial targets. Hoping Llewelyn opens up from his shocking commit to Princeton but not sure that'll happen now.

I think with Hunter there will be enough guys who can handle PG so you just go get the best guy you can. I think the staff will get that PG unless someone major shows legit interest.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I'm operating under the assumption that it's just a matter of time before Eric Hunter commits.

I think he has legit interest in Minnesota and there is a comfort factor with OSU (Butler was going to be a major player when Holtman was there), but Purdue is in a great spot. He’s visited a number of times, they’ve been around longest and check off a lot of boxes for him. But you never know. Minnesota could blow him away on his visit.

I think with Minnesota signing Isaiah Washington for 2017 (point guard #61 in 2017 class), Minnesota just doesn't make much sense for Hunter. They are both smallish point guards so it would be hard to play them together

Hunter is a 2 guard. Can play point but is more of a scoring guard. Kind of like Carsen Edwards.

My bad. For some reason I thought Hunter was only about 6', not 6'3". I knew he could handle the ball and thought it would be difficult for Minnesota to have two six foot players on the court at once.

Sounds like Hunter may pop for Purdue very very soon. He canceled his official to Minnesota and was back at Purdue Saturday for the football game.

Think Purdue may be a real player for top 100 PG Tyger Campbell. He officially visited recently and doesn’t seem to have much else recruiting wise going on. Would be a pretty darn good way to end this class.

Be nice to have something go our way........kinda out of the blue. Would be the best pure point in a long time.

Sure would have the back court stocked for a couple years.

It would really round out the roster.

You see the Haarms video? He might be pretty good right now and Matt has always said his best days are ahead of him.

Any reason why you think that he wouldn't have much else going on recruiting wise? Can't imagine a top 100 PG would have teams backing off.

Does seem to be huge movement on Campbell to Purdue in last week on 247, including Jerry Meyer. Sounds solid

Decommit from Depaul. Pretty late to start working with anybody. I think he was hoping some big names would jump in on him. Most schools have their guys or are just waiting on decisions. Our previous interest is one big advantage.
