Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Been kind of ugly early. But Matt Haarms can play.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

They have ticky tack fouled Vince out of this game.

Purdue running great stuff to get clean look after clean look. Then Marquette tosses in contested shot after contested shot to stick around. Never easy.

Yay! People talking Purdue basketball!

Been a fun game! We've had some great patience. They want to play straight up, fine. Pound it through Haas and Haarms. Other than a couple early Carsen 3s, they took the best shot every possession and forced Marquette to adjust. Then, the instant they start doubling, boom. Pass out, swing it around, and drain multiple 3s. Marquette has some stellar shooters who have made amazing plays. But it just feels like it doesn't matter. We are a machine, and will grind down anyone.

Also, I am already truly, madly, deeply in love with Haarms. He is my goofy, overly passionate, weirdly athletic hero.

Howard was ridiculous. I thought they played really good D on him.

Impressive to do thi without Vince the majority of the game.

He can really play. Pretty mobile for 7’3 and has a good feel for the game.

Yup, no complaints on the defensive effort. He made some really tough looks.

I would have never thought Eifert could man the 4 so well. He's very opportunistic. Fills the spot without being a weak point on either end, and is playing SO well off of the 5.

Just to reply to myself.......

Kinda surprised Taylor hasn't gotten any minutes at the 4 with such an opening tonight. He showed pretty good perimeter game during the very early preseason last year (or was it two years ago?) and seems athletic enough to switch out there.

He isn’t a threat to score outside of putbacks and dump offs, but he keeps things moving and knows where to be. And he rebounds. That’s al they need for 4 mi a half.

He’s coming off missing a month of practice. He played a little in the first half.

I was cringing a little with Eifert playing so much. I think the time in Taiwan is paying off early.

But only after Haarms also picked up his second.

A Haas/Taylor front line intrigues me, and this feels like it would have been an ideal opportunity to try it.

Marquette is going to need the water boy to sub in if they keep fouling people out.
