Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

NO WAY that Currie survives this whole thing. They may want to replace the AD before bringing on a coach...lol.

...per the devil himself, Clay Travis..."I am told that UT AD John Currie made an offer to Jeff Brohm that Brohm accepted. Currie then asked the chancellor to approve the offer -- buyout included -- and chancellor said no. So Currie went back to Brohm with lesser offer and Brohm said no. So here we are."...

...WOW...now I am starting to feel a little bad for my Tennessee friends...this shit has to be gut-wrenching for them...
Holy shit. If that's true, there's no way he keeps his job.

...yep, the fans have been against Currie from the beginning as they wanted either former coach Philip Fulmer or former UT Chattanooga AD David Blackburn to be AD...complete fucking shit storm over there...

That did not happen. Brohm has been on the road recruiting all week. I think they reached out but no way he just agreed to anything without taking the time to think about it and discuss with his family.

UT fans and their media are off of their rockers. And twitter just makes it worse.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

This has shades of painter to Mizzou all over it.
Painter was much closer to going to Missouri than Brohm to UT. This whole thing today was silly. The Painter thing was very real.

Yeah but the whole, "local radio personality says it's a done deal" thing was eerily similar.

Glad for Purdue's sake that there wasn't truth to him going to Tennessee. Brohm was a good hire. If he succeeds like I think he will, he likely will eventually leave but enjoy him while he's here.

...and I'm telling you guys, Hyams is very well respected...i am seriously shocked that he put that out there if it was so far from being true...

The Big Ten West could be the thing that keeps him there longer. Has to be as easy of a major division as there is. Plus it’s protected game vs Indiana keeps you away from an extra top east team yearly.

I would think Louisville would always be a player. But after the high high majors, not really too concerned unless the money is outrageous. Not sure I’d want any part of the SEC while Saban is there.

I very much doubt they came to an agreement without an interview. Which didn’t happen. Seems that UT may have been leaking things that weren’t accurate.

All coaches would love an extra bye week every year. And why would he go anywhere when he's winning championships and playing Jan 1 games on a regular basis at Purdue?

...and now they just fired their AD (Currie) -- their AD that they JUST hired!!!...so it is sounding more and more like the Brohm deal was a done deal, but Currie was being completely undermined because of the Schiano fiasco...hearing that former coach Philip Fulmer (who currently has an administrative role) was behind the scenes pushing for responsibilities to be taken away from Currie, who was part of the administration that helped get Fulmer fired...what a fucking soap opera...

...oh man, I have been so entertained this past week...I DON'T WANT IT TO END!!!...
