Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

lol. this is the best coaching search of all time.
...and now they just fired their AD (Currie) -- their AD that they JUST hired!!!...so it is sounding more and more like the Brohm deal was a done deal, but Currie was being completely undermined because of the Schiano fiasco...hearing that former coach Philip Fulmer (who currently has an administrative role) was behind the scenes pushing for responsibilities to be taken away from Currie, who was part of the administration that helped get Fulmer fired...what a fucking soap opera...

...oh man, I have been so entertained this past week...I DON'T WANT IT TO END!!!...
Man what a colossal fuckup.

That said, Les Miles would be a slam funk if they could get him.

...yeah, who fucking knows at this point...Mike Leach, Kevin Sumlin, Tee Martin, Kevin Steele, Chad Morris, etc. also really being talked about...

...presser from the Chancellor (Davenport) this afternoon -- will be really interesting to see if it is to name Fulmer the permanent AD, when Davenport already passed on Fulmer eight months ago because he did not meet her qualifications...

...the soap opera continues...whew...I'm ready for the 30 for 30 on this...

Has Peyton made any public comments on this? I can't imagine he's too happy about the drama.

...no public comments from Manning that I have heard...but I did hear that Manning signed off on the Schiano hire (along with Haslam) and when the fans and state representatives got in an uproar over that hire and got the hire nixed, Haslam personally called the various state representatives and was irate with them...hahaha, it just goes on and on...

Man, I wish I could fire up 102.5 on the morning commute...

With all the added Nashville traffic due to construction/growth, there's at least one perk. Longer sports radio listening time...

Fulmer in at AD. No word on whether it's interim or not. I'm assuming the success of the coaching search will determine that...

Glad for Purdue's sake that there wasn't truth to him going to Tennessee. Brohm was a good hire. If he succeeds like I think he will, he likely will eventually leave but enjoy him while he's here.
The Big Ten West could be the thing that keeps him there longer. Has to be as easy of a major division as there is. Plus it’s protected game vs Indiana keeps you away from an extra top east team yearly.

I would think Louisville would always be a player. But after the high high majors, not really too concerned unless the money is outrageous. Not sure I’d want any part of the SEC while Saban is there.

With the emergence of Michigan under Harbaugh and the decline of Nebraska, it's gotten to be a very pronounced difference. Let's face it, the blue bloods right now are Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Penn State.....four being the in the East. Occasionally Iowa or Northwestern have there, but not on a consistent basis.

Leach would be an interesting hire.....the SEC hasn't seen that kind of an offensive system. While there were certainly issues with his conduct at the end of his tenure with Texas Tech, there is no denying he put competitive teams on the field there (was 47-33 in Big 12 play and 84-43 overall with 10 straight bowl appearances) and has turned around a dreadful Washington State program.

It was no secret that Leach took the WSU job because it was one of his few opportunities out there and one of the last opportunities he had to get back in the game. I'm not surprised he's looking for bigger opportunities. As a WSU alum, I also wouldn't be too heartbroken if he leaves...

The Brohm thing was not a done deal. The guy was out recruiting for Purdue the entire week. He never met with anyone at Tennessee.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
