Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

BTT semis and finals should be pretty interesting. One of the big three will have an easy road while the other semifinal matchup might turn out being the best game of the tourney. Either way, the winner of that game will have to watch IU cut the nets ;)

Michigan is solid....wouldn't necessarily say that playing them is really much easier than playing Michigan State from what I've seen in Big Ten play.

I’d love a rematch vs OSU.

I’d rather play them than either of the Michigan schools.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

What garbage. Wesson and Jallow with three 3s a piece plus that banked in one late.

Oh well.
Tough loss...just a really down offensive night for Purdue. Haas was money in the first half but think he only had two points in the second half despite KWesson being on the bench with foul trouble. The defense was solid by Purdue but it's hard to win (and they damn near did and would have if they had gotten one rebound in the last 20 seconds) when only four players score and you don't get any bench points.
You let Wesson and Jallow try to beat you from 3 and they did.

OSU is a good defensive team so I figured it’d be low scoring. Can’t expect a couple of mid to low 20s 3 point shooters to go 6 for 9, including that banked shot that was off by about 5 feet. Sometimes it’s just not your night.
Yeah, you definitely want those two shooting. But offensively, out of Carson and Haas Purdue really struggled offensively (Haas and Carson were 15-24, the rest of the team went 5 of 23). Dakota had an uncharacteristic career high 5 turnovers.

BTW, Hummel does a real job announcing. Much better than the Indiana alum who does ESPN.
Vince missed so many shots at the rim. A couple were tough looks but 4-5 were shots he just has to make (and usually does). Plus Haas blew a wide open dunk.

OSU did a good job pushing the offense out. Made post entries tough in the second half. I didn’t expect much success offensively. But thought Purdue could shut them down and make life tough on Diop.

Yeah, of the Big Ten games I've seen Purdue play Michigan has definitely been the toughest. They just have so much shooting which does allow the Haas/Haarms combination to be less of a defensive factor.

Teams have followed what I believe Beilein started. Pressure our offense up high, contest all the passes and handoffs. Maryland did it, Rutgers did it. I don't often say it but Painter keeps saying it's about better execution.....and that is obvious.......but he has to make the D pay for overplaying out front, work some back picks or back doors to keep them honest.

If a defender is playing total denial on a pass, execution gets much, much harder. Like to see some other options in the sets.
