Lots of buzz right now with in state guys. Already have Karlaftis and got a guy from up in the region I don’t know anything about.

But I’m hearing Purdue is a major player for both Sampson James and David Bell, two Indy area kids that are top 100 types with offers from everywhere. Also a leader for Jack Kiser.

Could be a momentum swinging class in the state. Brohm still very involved with Kentucky kids too.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

The region recruit you got is from Michigan City. Just a two star OLB right now...I hadn’t heard of him but to be fair, Michigan City is pretty far west as the region goes. Probably will be one of Purdue’s lower tier recruits.

Sorry, meant East, not West. I consider the heart of the region to be Lake and Porter counties. Michigan City to
Me is more south bend than region.

Know anything about Cam Williams from Andrean? His ranking doesn’t really line up with his offers. Would think he’d be a no brainer for Purdue, Indiana, and even Notre Dame.

Chase Triplett is the Michigan City kid. Has good measureables but didn’t really stand out much in the highlight video I saw.

Yes, our high school plays Andrean. He is a guy that you do have to game plan around — mostly looking to run the ball away from him

James committed to OSU. But feel like Purdue will keep recruiting him. Still very involved with Bell and Kiser. Purdue finally offered Cam Williams, who is a top 250 guy on Rivals. I like Purdue’s chances there.

Purdue is very involved with a lot of good WRs. Just got a commitment from a 4 Star guy from Ohio. Bell is the big target there but lots of quality behind him.

Also in the top 5 for a top 250 RB from Illinois Jarehl Black.

Leader it seems for Michigan DBs Jalen Graham and Marvin Grant. Grant is a top 250 guy. In a good spot with Indiana DB Larry Tracy who decommitted from Iowa.

Lots of big stuff on the football recruiting front. Not sure Purdue has recruited to tha level since the middle of the Tiller era and maybe not even that good then. Exciting stuff.

Leader for Graham, in the mix with Grant*

And Purdue just got a commitment from safety Marvin Grant. Top 250 kid on Rivals.

And the people that don’t know anything at GBI said this was likely to happen.

I’d expect a commitment from Ft Wayne WR Craig Young very very soon. Big, fast WR with Ohio State and Michigan State offers.

Purdue will get a commitment from CA QB Paul Piferi soon too. That will break really soon, he’s already called coaches.

Not sure what the hold up on Young is. He’s doing a video (sign of the times) so maybe that’s it.

Sounds like Purdue will lose Jack Kiser to Notre Dame. Tough break there. Comes from a Purdue family and they’ve been all over him. Andrean LB Cam Williams Back for an unofficial today though.

‘If Brohm stays, that’s going to make my decision for me.’

Quote from 4 Star DE JJ Weaver from Louisville. Things areas change in recruiting and this may drag out, but that looks good.

There’s also a DE from Brohm’s alma mater Trinity, that is currently committed to Michigan, but rumors swirling that it’ll end up being a Stanford/Purdue. He’s 4* top 100 guy.

Apparently a bunch of Craig Young crystal ball picks for OSU. Kind of odd, as he camped there playing all 3 levels of defense and he has said he prefers WR. Also he was making a commitment video before his visit there today.

We shall see. Think it’s a toss up despite the crystal ball changes.

Bunch of visitors again this weekend. The early signing period and being able to take OV early has really moved these decision timelines up.

Purdue is recruiting a bunch of DBs. One I mentioned earlier, Larry Tracy has not been one of them. Guess he’s had a bad camp year, and both Purdue and Iowa who were all over him (was previously committed to Iowa) have basically moved on. Not sure he ends up at this level. Really thought he’d be one of Purdue’s DB signees.

Brohm seems like a really good coach and the best they've had in quite some time. I'll take solace in the fact that with his coaching skills, if he recruits at a high level like this, he won't be at Purdue for long!

Thanks for your input. Enlightening as always re Purdue.

And I think you’ll be disappointed in regards to him leaving really quickly. Your ignorance on the matter is funny.
