Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Will be interesting to see how he fits in at Purdue. Pretty good stats at Dartmouth (17.5 ppm, 9.5 rpg) but did turn it over quite a lot and shooting percentage was so-so and Dartmouth was horrible 7-20. At the minimum should give them an option at power forward and a guy who can rebound at a nice level. Scholly was open so it’s certainly a plus to get a guy who has experience and will likely accept his role.

And IMO Haarms no longer has the worst hair on the team. 😀

A couple corrections that make Boudreaux a more attractive transfer.

— the stats I cited were from 16-17. He sat out last year (more about that later) when they were 7-20.
— he will have two years of eligibility left and will be immediately eligible.
— in December he had committed to Xavier and backed out after Mack left.

So he would be a higher profile guy based on that, IMO. Only thing I don’t like is that it seems he announced on the eve of last season at Dartmouth that he would be sitting out and then graduate transferring, which kind of left Dartmouth in s bad position. Doesn’t effect his ability obviously but didn’t really give Dartmouth an opportunity to replace him last year.

I also would like to know more details about his decision to sit out at the last minute.

That said, this fills a huge hole. Seems like a blue collar type player that gets production from effort and skill. He will definitely soften the blow of the loss of the seniors and build a bridge to the next 5 star power forward!!!!! Hopefully!!!! Maybe!!! Who the hell knows cause Painter sucks!!!!! J/K.

Yes, he does sound like he will definitely be a positive addition. Obviously you can't expect him to replace Vince Edwards, but he sounds like he certainly is a guy that will do a lot of good things. He was freshman of the year in the Ivy league three years ago and was second team Ivy league the two years he played there.

In terms of his decision to sit out, I can tell you that he announced that decision the day before Dartmouth's first game this year.

Makes Purdue less dependent on Wheeler at the 4. Supposedly a high effort guy who can shoot it pretty well. Think he will be more efficient at Purdue. He was a very high usage guy at Dartmouth. Doubt he will be asked to carry that heavy of a load. Don’t really see any downside
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
