Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Notice it doesn't ask who's the answer at the 4, because there may be no answer. But who would be the best option. Obviously starting Holman would involve removing the redshirt and starting Ellis would involve a 4-guard offense.

Just curious to put some numbers to the debate to see what the real consensus is.

I think it really depends on the opponent.....but seems Taber will remain the starter for the time being.

I have, however, completely given up on Mike White though. I get angry whenever I see him on the floor anymore...

wow. those poll selections are sobering.

might as well throw Charlie Miller and George Leech in there for good measure.

I think I'd rather have White than Taber. But the question is who do you think should start?

I went with McGee even though he really hasn't proven anything. Starting him might be a colossal flop, but nobody else has really proven anything at the 4. I'd like to see him given a chance to start or get some real minutes. Maybe he'd be an improvement. If not McGee, then I'd probably have to go with Stemler even though I think he's best-suited coming off the bench.

Hahah UB, very sobering choices.

This is a pretty impossible choice. For now, I'd stick with Mike White at the 4 just for his rebounding skills. Obviously, none of these guys are going to make major impacts, so the 4 player has to be just a role player.

Stemler is better coming off the bench and better at the 3. I'm not nuts about going 4 guards, so I wouldn't start Ellis at the 4. Thomas has looked so bad lately, so you can forget about him. As for Taber, I didn't get to see the NW game, so I have no idea about him.

Thomas had some quality minutes in December. What's the problem? Is he just too unathletic to play against real competition, or has Celvin done a poor job developing him?

i think the only thing we can gather from this is that we suck at that position. do we want scoring or heart. if taber can give us what odle did in '02, then i wouldn't mind taber...can't believe i'm saying that...

DJ is our 4. Problem is, we need either another 4 or a 5 and we don't have that player.

McGee won't start because he is an arrogant asswhole. Or atleast that is what he shows when he does get into the game.

mcgee gets in a lot of trouble in practices. i've seen him thrown out a couple times. he'd play more if he got in control of himself.
