As most of the Purdue student section, the Paint Crew, knows. Seating is first come, first serve this year. I was walking by Mackey and there are over 70 people there camping out for the MSU game. For those of you that don't know, we play MSU at 7:00PM on TUESDAY night. I hear there is a "gentlemen's agreement" that they will all take a "four hour break" on Saturday night to watch Purdue @ Wisconsin. HOLY SHIT. I mean seriously, I love the dedication. But it sucks as a senior, I'd have to waste my Friday, friday night, saturday, and sunday to get the good seats at one of our big home games. When would I get my drink on? I mean, I rushed the court, with everyone else, but I think the fanbase is going insane this year. I hope they don't get discouraged when we start dropping some tough road games......... |

Hell man, when they have their "gentlemen's agreement", go take their spot. Now, that would be fucking hilarious. Just DVR the game and watch it after the MSU game. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

EVERYONE has something better to do than that........everyone at every campus in America. It's not like they are camping out for Final Four tickets. Some of freshmen here are just crazy..... |

I feel like they should just leave like 1 or 2 there in shifts, probably be a lot easier. But they are waiting outside for a week to see Purdue Basketball, so I guess I shouldn't think logically. |

Well in theory, for 10 ten people groups, only 2 people have to stay the whole time. So they do allow shifts. However, most groups actually wait the whole time, and don't do shifts. Like I said, there were like 70 people there. |

I remember in 2004 I camped 4 days outside mackey for student season tickets when they were still first come first pick with vouchers. If I was still on campus I would have a lawn chair some books and a couple of flasks of Jack Daniels I would probably be in that line as well. |

Purdue | 6-83038 13840 Indiana | 4-51960 12990 Interesting, those are the amount of games played, total number, and average attendance of Big Ten games. Indiana | 14-216426 15459 Purdue | 14-167809 11986 Assembly Hall-Bloomington holds 17,456. Mackey Arena holds 14,123. Each team is about 2,000 short of capacity on average for the whole year, and Purdue is a couple hundred away for the conference season, while IU is about 4500 short on average in the Big Ten. Hmmmmmmm, interesting development. Have we found an "OWNED!!!" or "NEXT!!!" smiley yet? |

I'm a dedicated fan and all, but lol its just so much easier to get there an hour before the game starts. You know whats sad I think generally I get to the bars earlier prior to tip off for away games, then I do outside of Mackey pre-game lol. I think that says something about my life . |
