Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I went ahead and posted this so it could be stickied. Good luck tonight, Boilers!

*EDIT - For some reason it won't let me pin it on the Purdue side of the board. If this thread gets taken to the next page, someone feel free to post it again by game time.

Thanks, Jaz. I don't know yet if I'll be around for the game, I don't have the BTN so I'll probably try to hit up an establishment around town to watch. The radio is alright, but I like watching and deciphering things for myself, especially since I don't think the Purdue announcers are any good, they are too much of fans. Hopefully, afterwards though, we can get some good conversations about the game and the rest of the season.

Well, if I'm going out, may as well start drinking now.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I feel for you, camden. I bar hopped for the first 2 months of the season to catch games in this area. Don't get me wrong, I love the beer, but trying to watch the game sometimes was a bitch.

The radio works, but not near as good as watching on TV. Good luck, guys, and like I said, I would have stickied this but I keep getting an error message on the Purdue side of the board.

Maybe 'it' knows I'm a Hoosier fan.

I hate the BTN. Somehow I do not think their advice by calling my local Oklahoma cable company and telling them they need to carry it will fall of deaf ears. I think the BTN has lowered the number of Large Eleven games I have gotten to see this year.

And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

Anyone know if there's any sort of online radio broadcast of Purdue bball? I'm out in Washington DC with no BTN and surely no OTA radio stations covering the game. Anything would be better than the GameCast that I've been forced to watch for most of the games this year.

It would be nice if someone could host a stream of the games off the BTN on a site like this: http://www.myp2p.eu/index.php?part=home

If there's anywhere else like ^ then let me know. Streams aren't very good quality but you can at least see what's going on

I'm wondering, is there ever anything like this? I haven't used online radio for any of Purdue's games so I don't know if there regularly is or anything.

I'd definitely like it if there was, though, so anyone have any info?

it's usually pretty easy to find radio streams of games. it just takes a couple minutes of looking. i could probably find one here in a couple minutes. the best thing to do is find the list of radio stations that cover purdue sports and then visit their websites. most radio stations have a "listen live" feature. some of the online streams are disabled during the games due to contractual restrictions, but usually it only takes a couple tries to find one that airs it online.

Here's a link I found with some stations:

Not sure if they'll have the game but definitely worth a shot.

If Purdue stays out of foul trouble then they might be able to get this... 1st half was kind of ridiculous in that department
