| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Anybody else think that our recent success might just help shape up our class of 2009? 2009 will be a key class in my opinion if Painter is to keep us on a high level. Our 2008 class isn't stellar, but he went out and offered based on need. Jackson, I think will be better than Crump (who he is replacing) the day he steps foot onto campus. Ryne Smith i hear is an awesome shooter, and Lutz seemed to do well in that role last year. He has "beyond" 3 point range, and with the new line next year, should be an asset. For 2009 we already have Byrd, Barlow and without some unforseen insanity, Robinson from LN. Robinson I think will end up being the best of that bunch, he'll get alot more playing time next year. But we can offer as many as 6 schollies for 2009. I think Painter either needs to land one of the bigger recruits (wilson, dixon, Van treese, etc) OR my sleeper pick for the class of 2009, Kyle Rowley. The guy is 7"0, 270ish and is the beast we need down low. I like Calasan and all, but the JUCO recruits usually only work out for one year (their senior year) and then they are gone. I don't have any fantasies about the team this year making the final four or anything, however the unexpected early success might go a long way for the program. |

Good post. You have to be an optimistic fan to hope for a Final Four THIS year, but it's not out of the question. |
