Ok sports fans, tomorrow's the big showdown in what UB calls "The Faucet Center." I'm going to guess the average pick is Wisky by five. Most Purdue fans will guess a one point game or Wisky by five. Most IU fans will take Wisky to win by 5-10. I'm going to make a bid to win the title of "Biggest Homer of the Weekend" and take Purdue by five! *edit Wow, 100% of respondents have Purdue winning by five, so that's encouraging. |

Although I'm pullin' for you guys, gotta take Wisky by 10. I wish somebody would beat these bastards in their own house. Posted Image |

We will do our best. I think the only way it gets to double digits is if one of the teams is up 7-9 points late and there are intentional fouls and bad 3 point shots. I have been wrong before, but both teams play a rugged, slow down, methodical kind of game. That usually results in low scoring, close games. With me saying that though, I'd expect a fast paced game played over 80 points with one team winning by 15. :P |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

As I've said camden, I haven't gotten a chance to see Purdue play this year. Just a few highlights here and there. I'll see what they're made of tonight, I'd love to see anybody beat these guys on their own floor this year. Good luck. |

Its all good, your prediction is completely valid, heck even UB's beloved Vegas odds have UW the 10 ponit favorite. If I wasn't a poor college kid, I'd be all over that. You should definitely try and catch the game though, most of your complaints about IU will be shown from the Purdue side. Its not always pretty, but they move on offense, pass, cut, set picks, play tough defense, pick up full court. I mean, I could just watch the game on repeat all night long, partly because I love Purdue, but mainly because of the way the play. UW is definitely tough at home, but we did go into the Breslin Center and went toe to toe with MSU (minus Hummel), so I think we will put up a fight. We may not win, but we won't back down. I expect it to be physical and ugly at times, like every other UW game. |
