Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Fine for me, but my place splits a T1 between 12 people so the internet is insane here.

yeah I just have Insight so I'm not sure on my speeds but it's usually a lot faster than it has been today.

Maybe a couple kinks in the network.

It's going faster now though.

I haven't had any problems. Maybe you should try restarting your browser next time and see if that helps. It could have something to do with a memory leak.

Just did some testing. There's definitely some part of the code that's causing a memory leak. A memory leak is basically where a program continues to draw memory without giving it back. Firefox on my computer normally uses around 34 MB, and it was just at 100 MB. It's easily fixed by restarting your browser. So if you're someone that rarely restarts your computer, just remember to restart your browser every day.

No, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari are examples of browsers. Just close the program and restart it.

Same here. I think its the server that runs this board.

Since many people have reported slowness, I agree Chillin', the bottleneck is probably the server running this site, or the site's connection to the internet.

In general, it is good to restart IE/Firefox now and then, but I typically keep mine running for weeks at a time. My system has 2Gb of RAM, so running low on memory is never an issue. I would think that any system with 512Mb should be fine unless you are running that resource hogging piece of shit "Vista."

Sorry about the lag. it's server related (invisionfree). that happens from time to time, but i haven't found it to be a consistent problem. is it working better for everyone now?
