Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

With all the changes that have gone on at Indiana in the last 7 or 8 years, I'm honestly surprised the uniforms haven't been altered in some way.

It really wouldn't bother me either way, as long as the logo/no names on the back stayed the same.

Who knows, this could be my calling. :chug:

I don't know why, but i don't like the wide-shouldered uniforms. Just don't like how they look. UCONN's jerseys look goofy because the shoulders are so wide on them.

Our new replica jerseys have wider shoulders too and I don't like them very much.

i think with the next coach, especially if it's pearl, calipari, pitino, or someone else with a little flash to them, the uniforms will change.

but who knows, davis tried to do it too but he was just mike davis. if we do indeed get a big name coach in here i wouldn't be surprised if names went on the back...

...and that would make me sick! i'm a traditionalist. i love the no name on the back, the candy stripe warmups.

all of my favorite teams are this way (iu, notre dame football-i'm catholic and from indiana, new york yankees-always followed mattingly)

man i hope the university stands up to the coach and the coach respects the tradition. i wonder if this effects a coaches decision of coming here, especially one with an ego and wants to put his stamp on everything.

...nevertheless your jerseys are fuckin sweet jaz...they are perfect east coast jerseys...i think you have found your calling!

I kind of don't like some of the new uniforms some teams have been wearing recently. Those new Syracus uniforms are flat out ugly. Ohio State's home jerseys are lame because they're just all white or gray with barely any red in them. Florida's new uniforms are actually cool looking, though. Did anyone see those uniforms Oregon wore against UCLA yesterday? Doug Gottlieb actually liked them.

Did anyone see Oregon's jerseys yesterday. If there was an award for worst uniform ever, then I think they would get it hand down. They were all black with just bright yellow numbers. Then they had Oregon on the front but was also in black so you couldn't really see it.

It's Oregon lol. We've grown accustomed to seeing them in awful jerseys.

Yeah I guess that is true. At least they dare to be different. It just usually ends up turning out looking terrible!

I'd like to see the names added. Whats wrong with giving a good player a named jersey people could buy.
It might help sales of IU Unis if they had names........... B)

Not allowed to put a current player's name on the back of a jersey that is being sold. That is an NCAA rule.

I understand the play for the name on the front, not the back, but I don't get the people who are just so pleased that the names aren't on the back. It doesn't really change the way a player is thinking, especially if the coach doesn't buy into it. It was obviously a staple of the Knight regime and way of thinking, but does anybody really think Davis and Sampson sold that train of thought? There are a lot of schools with names on the back that play pretty darn hard for their school.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

What about past players like Cheaney? Can you sell them or is that an NCAA reg to?

I believe that former players are okay. That would be a nice thing, but then again it wouldn't be "authentic" because Cheaney never had his name on the back of his jersey.

But if they started putting it on there, I think post-graduation/departure, it would be okay.

Hell. They may still be selling jerseys from the last NC team at IU if they did.

That is very true. IU fans love their history ;) .

:sarcasm:

Glad to see we can have a normal convo, Anarchy. Didn't mean to piss ya off the other day.

But that is a pretty sound marketing strategy. I know that Purdue sells Griese and LeRoy Keyes jerseys. I think it could be a hot commodity given the love for past players of IU.
