Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I was listening to ESPN radio at work tonight after the game and they had a full segment on Pearl and the open IU job. All of the guys were saying that Pearl SHOULD take the IU job if offered. They argued that despite where UT sits right now, that IU would be the better job for him long-term. They said they believed he WOULD consider the job, but that IU would have to break the bank for him....(which I would fully support.)

That said, he's got it pretty nice at Tennessee right now. I personally don't think I would leave if I were in his position.

Cuban unofficially made a statement he would make a monetary donation personally to get Pearl if needed.

You just bitched at someone for not showing their source.... and here you are doing it, and dc just posted a link from Mark's blog that said he would never donate money to the university under current jurisdictions.

Doesn't seem that Cuban has or ever will donate to IU. He HATES the NCAA.

He hates the NCAA, not IU. He is a Alum.
He wrote that because he came out and said it was bullshit IU paid Sampson a dime.
As for the NCAA, everyone knows Cubans stance with them. Him and Knight could stay up all night on that subject. :D

Haha, that is true. I think he would contribute to the University, but not the athletic program because of their affiliation with the NCAA. He may for the right cause, but he is every bit as stubborn as Knight, so who knows.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Texas was probably the only state that could hold both of them these days. They certainly are entertaining. For some reason, I like them both even though they are stubborn and are jack asses. Probably because they are so much like me.... :banghead:

Hence the word unconfirmed. :owned: :loser:

I do have a college degree, I suggest you do the same.

unconfirmed shit gets posted all the time... then where did you hear it? Some rivals message board, or cnn makes a big difference in the source especially when it comes down to objectivity.

I have a college degree and I am currently working on my 2nd (a graduate degree).... if thats what you mean by "do the same."

For fun, lets just say since I'm an IU alum. I probably know more about what happens at IU just like you may with PU.

I swear PU makes me laugh every time I post their initials.

If PU makes you laugh then it makes you sound like a fifth grader more than a person with a degree, but in all fairness I guess I always liked to say IUPUI so we are in the same boat!

That is true. I am only 17 and don't have my college degree yet but have a lot of family with one that still act like kids more than I do. More power to them. I don't like any adult that is too uptight.

College degrees are not always the best measure of intelligence in my opinion. There are an awful lot of PhDs out there that are far from intelligent. Look at politicians, nearly all of congress has college degrees and are probably in the 80th to 90th percentile in intelligence, but there are very few I would use that word to describe.

Really all a college degree shows is that you have the ability to learn.
