Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

We move up to #12. Not that it means a whole lot, it's just interesting to see how this committee thinks.

Alot of upsets this week, I honestly think we're playing our best ball all season. Hopefully we can take this into March.

That NW game was the best ball you guys have played all season? Come on seriously your game at home vs MSU and Purdue was the best ball you played all season. Hopefully this NW game was just a hiccup...

Also the coaches poll that ESPN uses is horrible this year... MSU at 15... come on, AP has them at 19 and that is more like it. Coaches poll seems more based on who is in the news than how teams are playing.

do you have any clue what you are talking about? Considering IU didn't prepare a lick for NW and their minds weren't even on the game, it is not surprising at all IU barely won the game.

quit being so literal dork.

IU played like garbage against turdue. don't flatter yourself. you think 23 turnovers at home is good playing?

MSU was the best I've seen IU play in awhile.

I didn't point out the NW game, you did.

But overall, yeah, I think we are playing the best we've played all season.

You said, "Alot of upsets this week, I honestly think we're playing our best ball all season."

I took this to mean that this week, (because of the comma and not breaking it into 2 different sentences ie .. 2 separate thoughts) you guys were playing your best basketball. Also that you should "continue" this into March I think I would hold judgment if you guys man-handle OSU at home (which you should), then I would have to agree with you then.

By upsets I meant UCONN, Kansas, Memphis, Butler, etc.

Considering the circumstances, I was happy to get out of NW with a win. They played us extremely well in Bloomington too, I had no doubt it was going to be hard fought.

Overall I think IU is playing well right now, stomping the shit out of MSU and beating a very good Purdue team, albeit at home, still not an easy task.

If our turnover situation gets fixed, and Dakich proves he can motivate these guys, we're going to be good going into March.

Can you believe Miami beat Duke, yet they're still in the top 10????

I agree. IU is in a good position to finish the season strong. I predict that either UW or Purdue will run the table, so that game at MSU looms large. I thought OSU might get it done yesterday, but those damn moldy cheese heads are tough.

I think #19 is fair for Purdue. If we keep our heads out of our behinds, we should have 2 more wins this week. Playing OSU @ OSU still worries me some.

On the IU side of things, I like the rest of their schedule. If they can take care of business at MSU it should be smooth sailing to a shared big ten title.

It is nice to see we both control our own destinies here. I do not like having to count on someone else to 'give' us the title.

That's the major difference between college basketball and college football. If you lose one bad game, you won't usually fall that much in the rankings. It all depends on how many games you keep losing in a time span. In college football, you lose one game, and your national title hopes takes a big blow.

Meh, you may be right but this year's MSU is WAY over rated, and seriously under performing. They have not lost one at home since UCLA , but they have had some close ones and I think they are due .
