lost to UCLA on a neutral court. trust me, MSU will play inspired after IU pummeled them. I will guess they'll be a 3-4 pt fav over IU |

MSU has won 20 straight games at home if I remember correctly. That is good enough for 5th currently I believe. |

Doh! Yeah neutral court, you are correct. And the only reason they have such a good streak at home is because Grand Valley State didn't count. That game makes the Wofford loss look good. (Sorry but my hatred of green is showing. ) IU by 7. |

do you all realize IU hasn't won at MSU since 1993? I just don't see it. |

MSU is also back on the upswing. They have a very good coach, and some talent too. They've just been in somewhat of a rut. Strangely enough, I would have to agree with UB on this one. |

If MSU has one thing to accomplish this year, it's to kick our asses and get some revenge in their house. Fuck it, I'm not even going to watch. ;) ;) |

Between the Go Green/Go White cheers and the continual playing of the Dudley Do Right theme song, I do not know if I can stomach to watch it either. |

Doesn't it seem to anyone else that Izzo has been buying all the sports writers in America Hookers and blow? IU, or Purdue drops a game and we drop several places in the polls(well when Purdue is ranked). MSU loses and they drop a spot, maybe two. They are ranked #8 on Jan 28th, then lose 3 out of 4 with the single win being Northwestern, and are still in the top 25 the first poll after that series. C'mon, IU and Purdue would both be in the 'others receiving votes' had we done that. Not that the polls mean jack squat. |

Yah I touch on that above... It is all about national recognition.... butler was ranked so high this year for their effort last year... It took Hawaii almost 2 undefeated seasons to get a BCS shot and they blew it.... Boise State raped theres. It is a flawed system, but its the best flawed system we got. |

Rankings are worthless. I'd say over half the people that vote for AP poll don't even know what the hell they are talking about. The Coaches' Poll is worthless because what coach has time to watch every game, coast to coast to make an accurate vote? If they find that time, then their team probably isn't doing as well as it could. They are a nice thing to have and look at and debate. But they have no meaning about who is a better team, they are just there for show and talk. In basketball's case, its a media creation that they use to hype up events and upsets. |
|
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
