Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I am starting this, because there are several posters (IU Fans) that are afraid of this site becoming more like the EsuckPN boards. I would hate to lose the good conversations because some piece of shit Purdue fans. You know where my vote stands

Ahhh censorship at its best, so those people with views you don't like should go else where huh? Ok, sure thing if this passes I will go ahead and leave. I mean I bet there is great conversations to be had with people who all think the same way, and have the same exact imputs on the same situations.

Hahaha, its all good. I try to keep my obvious Purdue bias aside when I talk on here. I know you guys are going through a tough time. I like to talk sports, especially basketball, so thats why I'm even here. I try to give another perspective that I think most of you appreciate. I do at times get into it with UB, but most of that stuff is just fun and games and I think most of you guys see through that.

I hope this doesn't turn into the ESPN boards, its kind of a mess, but I think there are enough quality posters that it won't.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

You state your opinion and that is cool. I think the difference between you and some of the other PU posters, is the presentation

Most definitely. I try to stay away from the "IU sucks, bahahahaha". First of all, thats just not how I speak. Second, you aren't going to be respected if you make comments like that to another team's fans. You can say what you want, but presenting it in that way is just childish and IMO idiotic. But thats what some people do. To each their own I suppose, I just stay out of the arguments that I think are stupid. Most of mine are intelligent or just fucking around with UB.

Wow. I am not sure if I should be offended or not, so I won't be.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

I haven't really seen too much taking over by Purdue fans here at least maybe thats my bias. However, especially when Purdue fans have to put up with UB all the time it makes me a little less sympathetic. In any case I always try to be civil and that's all anyone can do is control their own posts.

here's the opinion from the creator:

This board was made because the espn mods are fucking assholes. they censor posts, ban people, delete threads, yada yada. this board doesn't do any of those things. the only time i'm going to step in and "moderate" is if some asshole starts flooding the board (posting a bunch of nonsense over and over and over in an effort to push everything down).

as with all freedoms, there are responsibilities. it is my hope that everyone will give others the respect they wish to receive. this place is about having fun, talking sports, talking shit, yada yada. as long as we continue to respect each other and put up with a little bit of differences, then this place will continue to thrive. when we all start pulling against each other, this place will die faster than it rose.

so, let's just keep working together and have open dialogues and minds.

I'll second sirbrian. C'mon, people. Grow up - if someone posts something that gets your panties in a twist, ignore it. Case in point: the "I drank more than you did" thread that evolved into "well I know someone who knows someone who can drink more than anyone you know who knows someone else who can beat up your dad".
