| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Yeah, engineers from Purdue should make more money to help make up for the fact that they never get laid! |

Yeah. You're right. I guess every Purdue grad is a CEO now and all Kelley grads work at McDonalds. Thanks for the insight. I'm gonna go switch my major. |

You know sometimes I think Purdue is bad on the female to male ratio, but I couldn't even imagine what it would be like at Rose, its the size of high school and the number of males to females is ridiculous. I was accepted there when I was applying to colleges, but 20,000 after loans a year when I could go to top ten ranked (for engineering) Purdue for a lot less. It wasn't a very hard decision. After I got here I've never regretted my decision. I love going to a Big Ten school. I've been to a Rose football game before, I don't even think all the parents of the players were there. There was better attendance at my high school games. Also about Rose>Purdue, maybe in individual teacher instruction, but really hardly anyone knows anything about Rose outside of Indiana. Purdue Engineers are recognized all over the world. |

People don't know Rose outside of Indiana? Come on... I know Purdue's jealous that they're not the top Engineering school in the area anymore, but people that hire for top engineering positions know Rose. I had several friends that went there, and they were actively recruited for positions. One of them never even applied for a job, and he's currently making over 100k less than 5 years out of school and had his graduate school paid for as well. Also, Rose is in the same town as ISU where the girl/guy ratio is a lot more favorable. It doesn't have the party scene of a Big Ten School (unless you like Shrooms, which Rose chemists are known for, lol), but as far as setting you up for a job after graduation, it's on par with Ivy League schools. |

Hey Rose is a good school, I'm not trying to take anything away from them. But they do not have the national recognition that Purdue has. Mostly its just a function of numbers. Purdue graduates more engineers per year than the entire graduating class of Rose. |

Purdue is a top 10 engineering school. The only Ivy that has a top 10 engineering school is Cornell. |
