Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

You're absolutely correct about the defense not creating anything for the offense. Early in the year, we KILLED teams with fast break points. Not surprisingly, this isn't working so well in the B10.

I would not mind seeing a little full court pressure from us in the coming games. We certainly have the athletes to do it. Whether we could execute it well or not is another story.

i wouldn't mind seeing some full court pressure when we're running a 4 guard set and resting dj. do it for like a 2 minute span a couple times during the game to mess with the other team.

Agreed. I think we're just becoming way too predictable. Need to spice it up a little bit.

Even if it isn't a full out press, but just picking the guy up even 3/4 court. Make them work a little to get into their offense, I feel that throws a lot of teams off. I think Sampson has lost complete confidence in his bench (some of it deserved), but its hard to just abandon it and play the same 5-6 players all game. Its impossible to play with that intensity for that long. I think before the season more was expected from McGee and Holman (pre injury), which has really left Sampson out in the cold. But that is his own fault as much as anyone's. I think if they get fired up a bit more, they can play better, but its going to be a struggle to get very far in March.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Agreed again. I just don't think we make teams work hard enough to beat us. We let them get comfortable and settle into their offense.

I have no faith in IU until they prove they can win at dUI and O$U.

In looking at the schedules, Purdue :puke: has a legitimate shot at winning the regular season.

I'm guessing that a new poll would bring about the same results given that this is a board of all Indiana and Purdue fans, but I think Wisconsin doesn't lose again. I have to stick by my IU prediction because they are still part of the 3 way tie up top, but UW has a nice road to go.

On a side note, I've never been a bigger MSU fan in my life than this week. Go Sparty!!!

If MSU goes 2-0 this week, I'll lobby for Izzo to finish second in the BT COY running.

This poll was made like 3 weeks ago. Obviously even at that point it was pretty tough for one of the others to win, but it was still possible, especially with OSU's schedule to end the year. But they kind of fell on their faces a bit.
